Rhassoul mud is a gentle cleanser for the skin. It's naturally absorbent, so it helps mop up excess oils, minimize shine and prevent breakouts. Its deep-cleansing action draws impurities from the skin, leaving it clean and refreshed. Clays and powders are also natural preservatives, and in combination with other ingredients, are used in some of our self-preserving formulas.
Rhassoul mud is a naturally-occurring mineral. It's extracted in a remote desert region of Morocco, near the Atlas Mountains, where the only known natural deposit of the clay is found.
