Toning and balancing
Used for its toning and balancing effect on the skin and for the sweet, rose-like aroma it gives to our bath products, skincare and fine fragrances. The oil helps to even out color and oiliness by constricting the tissues to balance sebum production.
This plant is related to the popular window-box geranium. Its pale green oil is steam distilled from the leaves, twigs and flowers. The essential oil in geranium has constituents—geraniol, linalool and citronellol—that are also found in rose oil, making them perfect partners, but it also blends well with a variety of different oils including clove, sandalwood and lavender.
