Would buy larger, but is expensive

Firstly, I do love the smell so that's already a bonus. I have mild patches of scalp psoriasis and while it certainly doesn't cure that nor my thinning hair, it does a nice job of cleaning my scalp. That said, I do sometimes use a dot of another shampoo with the second rinse to really clear the flakes out of my long hair. Love the tingle and gentle scrub, so will continue to treat myself with this.

I love tingly products. My scalp gets itchy and my hair gets oily. This takes care of all my issues with one wash. It smells like candy to me. My only concern is that it's sometimes hard to get the product out of the squeeze bottle. I'll look for a bottle with a flip top and not a push top next time.

My hair is fairly long, so it'll take quite a bit of this stuff to feel the sting. After a few weeks of Wasabi Shan Kui, my hair feels (and looks) like an alpha lions mane!! Wasabi has been recently studied in japan and has been found a viable anti-balding agent too #extrabonus

Great for Oily Hair

I used Jersey Bounce until they discontinued it. I wanted something to give me some volume and cut the excess oils in my hair. I have wavy thick hair. Big had too much sea salt for me for an everyday shampoo. Once I tried Wasabi Shan Kui I loved it. I wasn't sure about the wasabi or the color. But it smells like sweet bubble gum and I love the fine sea salt. My jet black hair has a natural shine to it, not oily. This is my new favorite!

A world of difference for dry scalp

I thought I'd have to deal with my painfully dry itchy scalp and flakes for eternity. I tried so many things I thought for sure there was no way any product would be able to help until my partner brought home a sample of this stuff. After the first tingly use I noticed a world of difference my scalp wasn't itchy, there were basically no flakes in sight, and the texture/ volume/ shiny-ness of my hair improved a ton! I was feeling so incredibly self conscious because my scalp was painful flaky and covered in little scabs from itching and my hair texture/color was dull and flat. This stuff literally gave me so much hope for my hair and quality of life and I am so thankful.

Really wanted to love this

I love wasabi and I love tingly shampoos so I really wanted to love this but it just doesn't work for me. I find you need to use a lot to get it to actually tingle (I do have very dense, fine hair, may be different for those who don't) and then I simply cannot get it out of my hair. I had to rinse it 3 (!!!) times to get it out the last time I used it, and by the end my hair was a tangled frizzy mess. I only brush my hair before the shower (wavy/curly hair) and so that was basically a wasted wash day for me. For the refreshing feel I would recommend Rehab instead if you have thick hair. It also seems like people really like the smell, but I wasn't a fan. Smelled like fake kiwi to me.

First ingredient is no

I have acne-prone, oily skin and oily scalp. Do not use this if you have the same combination as me. My hairline acne increased due to continuous use. Yes, it soothed my scalp and helped with the flakes. It also caused papules along my hairline, especially along my temples and my small side burns. Regardless of how thoroughly I wash my face after shampooing, the acne continued to appear. Even using the tiniest pea-size amount was not enough to curb the acne. It turns out that sodium laureth sulfate is the first ingredient, which is a no-no when you have acne-prone skin. I made a mistake in purchasing the biggest bottle because I loved the initial results. Be careful with edible oils and the sheer amount of occurring chemicals from essential oils in this. Just because it's natural doesn't mean the skin can handle the product. I would dissuade everyone to try this. I have to get rid of the shampoo and go back to my Soak and Float

I love this shampoo

This product is great if you have a dry scalp from hypothyroidism! My scalp had become dry and intensely itchy due to my issues with my thyroid. When I happened across this and decided to give it a try. It made a world of difference. I love it. My scalp feels 10 times better and It makes my hair shiny and soft.
