Amazing for my curly hair!

This product is definitely polarizing, but I absolutely adore it and have been using for over a year. I have coarser red hair that's also very curly, so naturally it's quite dry. I swear by this really gentle shampoo if you have hair like mine — it totally keeps your hair clean without doing damage. Great for dry months especially winter!

Favorite shampoo bar!

I was recently recommended this shampoo bar by a Lush employee. I switched to shampoo bars about two months ago to reduce my plastic waste, and have been using the Honey I Washed My Hair bar. When I went to pick up another, the employee asked what I am looking to get out of my hair products. When I said that I am looking for frizz control, they recommended this shampoo bar over the Honey bar, as it uses Sodium Coco Sulfate while the Honey bar uses Sodium Laurel Sulfate. They explained that coco sulfate is gentler and less stripping and gave me a sample, and my hair was much softer and less frizzy using this bar (alongside my usual conditioner). It doesn't suds up as much as the Honey bar, and some of the pink dye got onto my shower shelf, but it rinsed off with water. I didn't notice any dye left in my hair. I use the bar by rubbing it on my wet hands to form suds and then using the suds on my hair, so the white rice exfoliation doesn't apply to me but I can see that it could be abrasive to a sensitive scalp. The scent of the bar is very faint but pleasant. I am very happy with this bar in comparison to the Honey bar but I wish that there wasn't pink dye in it, as I don't like having to rinse my white shower surface after every use and the other reviews that state that there can be dye residue in hair make me a bit nervous. I also wish that there was a coordinated conditioner bar with the same scent to buy as a set, since I like this scent but it is completely overpowered by my conditioner bar.

Doesn't Clean Hair

Sorry but after I washed my hair it felt dirty and greasy. I went to read ingredients and noticed no sulfates. I need sulfates to clean my hair and scalp. Threw this out. Sticking with lush shampoos with sulfates only.

This product just does not compare. I used to use Godiva shampoo bar and loved it, then when that was discontinued, I turned to Trichomania. Both were so moisturizing and left my hair looking and feeling amazing. I decided to try this after reading reviews that this had replaced Trichomania. It just does not even compare. I would not say that it leaves my hair feeling moisturized, and it doesn't look nearly as good as when I used the old products. Please bring back Trichomania, it also smelled better.

I've found my new go-to!

To be honest, I've never used another shampoo bar so I have nothing to compare it to, but I love it. I walked into Lush only knowing that I wanted to try a shampoo bar that was moisturizing, and this was the one they recommended. I adore it! It lathers so well and it smells fantastic, especially paired with the American Cream pressed conditioner afterwards. It does seem to dissolve quickly, but I don't think I was storing it well - I've heard you should take it out of the shower to dry out, and I wasn't doing that, so that's on me. Overall I definitely recommend giving it a try!

My favorite shampoo ever! I wish the shampoo consisted of only coconut and rice instead of the red part which leaves red residue on scalp.

Good Not Great

I love the smell, and it cleans my hair nicely- so big points there. I wanted something really moisturizing, and this falls a bit short in that realm. My biggest issue is that there are little hard bits in the bar, and they really pull and snag my hair when I'm applying it. Its not painful necessarily, but not a wonderful soothing experience that all my other Lush products give.

Replacement for Trichomania

Was given a small sample when picking up my last-ever bar of Trichomania. The pink stained the plate I use for shampoo bars instantly, which I suppose is a step up (comparatively) to the wax that coats the outside of Trichomania. It lathered more than Trichomania, but the large chunk of rice was odd. I have also read reviews that the flower in the full-size bar cannot be removed until it's been used a lot. I'm not a fan of non-functioning garnish, and a company like Lush who is very conscious about the environment probably shouldn't care for it either. Very similar in smell to Trichomania. I'll probably try and find a different product altogether tbh, but I'll use it while I have it.

My new go-to!

This is my new favourite shampoo bar from lush! The water in my city is incredibly hard and packed with lots of minerals so I use to have a hard time getting my hair to feel soft and clean after washing it. That was until I tried this shampoo! It smells incredible, and it's by-far the most moisturizing of all the shampoo bars I've tried! My hair has never felt so soft! The only issue I've had with it, is I stored it incorrectly, and it fell apart and started to smell pretty bad, but that's my fault for not the bars. Just a reminder to anyone who tries this bar, or other shampoo bars from lush to store them in a dry place! I rarely put the lid on my tin when I'm not using the bar!

Full disclosure: I'm a Honey I Washed My Hair devotee. I took a chance on something new and was super underwhelmed. It leaves my hair feeling squeaky clean, but I wouldn't call it moisturized (so conditioner is a must). Lathers nicely, but I'm glad the scent doesn't linger as it sort of smells like coconut and rubber. It hasn't ruined my hair or my scalp, but I won't buy it again.
