Itchy, dandruff-ridden scalps are a literal pain. When scales build up on the scalp and can't be removed with shampooing, this is the scalp treatment you need. This supremely soothing ointment of coconut oil, candelilla wax and chamomile blue oil calms and moisturizes scalps while salicylic acid (formed naturally from meadowsweet) softens dry, flaky buildup so it can be washed out more easily. Anyone with a dry, troubled scalp will find relief after using this super treatment.

Okay so here's the thing, my hair is a mixture of MANY problems: itchy/oily/oily dandruff/dry end. Tried a few products for hair treatments here and the Superbalm is in my top 3 for treating my scalp. Yes it makes my hair look greasier but, the secret to activate the oils in the balm is to use a scalp massager and use a medium pressure and doing small circles, after that, it looks normal per se. I also pair it with the Jasmine and Henna fluff-ease hair mask for my ends and I use any shampoo bar that are made for greasy hair (New, Jumping juniper, Dirty, etc.) if you do all of these IT WORKS !

My scalp can get extremely dry and flaky during the changing of seasons. After one use my itch and scalp cleared up. I loved it with Rehab shampoo and Acid Rain conditioner.

I have had an itchy/oily/flacky scalp for the last 15 years since I was a teenager. I wash my hair every day to keep it at bay but even at the end of the day my scalp gets itchy and greasy. I received this by chance when I ordered a shampoo - the sale associate threw a sample in my bag - I never asked to try it. It followed the video instructions of parting your hair and massaging it directly into your scalp, leaving it on for 20 mins then washing it out. I'm not sure if it's a fluke but IT WORKED on my scalp on the first day I tried it! It's the end of the day and my scalp is not itchy! Not sure how often I need to do this treatment tho.

I have been seeing everyone's reviews about how it's impossible to get out. The trick that has worked for me has been to warm up the product so that it melts in your fingers then work into problem zones specifically. Apply directly to the scalp. It seems to make it easier to wash out. I have been using this for about a month now and from the first use my dandruff and itchy scalp has been SO much better.

After reading several reviews of it not washing out, I watched a youtube video of instructions for how to use it - the key is to shampoo your hair while it's still dry right before you hop in the shower. Also avoid getting product on your actual hair by sectioning off with a comb and massaging your scalp with the tips of your fingers. People shouldn't be all that surprised that something oily won't wash out once it comes in contact with water - that's why the shampooing while still dry is so important. My scalp feels great just after two treatments (once a week for two weeks). Also people who don't like the smell must not like fresh herbs...give it a try!

I applied exactly as per directions and even watched a video based on another review. First off is smells simply awful and that smell lingers. It took about 5 vigorous shampoos to get rid of the grease. It's absolutely not worth the effort.

Wow, sticky stuff

I'm fairly sure this will be in my roots forever...it was kinda like applying Vaseline. I washed three times, then just gave up. Maybe it'll wash out next time, lol!

Couldn't get it out

I was really excited to try this product and really wanted it to work. It was really hard to work with from the beginning and trying to wash it out was 10000x worse. I think I washed my hair 3 times before I couldn't feel it on my scalp anymore and even then there was a film, and I had to wash it again to get the smell out (it smells really bad).

Won't wash out!! Now my scalp is in worse shape.

Took 4 washes to get this product out! It looked like my hair was dipped in literal grease! My scalp can be itchy and dry feeling so I thought this product would be a great self-care treatment on a Sunday morning. When I got out of the shower after using this I was mortified by how greasy and waxy my hair was (even after I shampooed twice). I washed again with another shampoo but still no go. Finally, I looked up remedies to remove thick oil from hair and used apple cider vinegar and dish soap to get it out. Thankfully the product is out of my hair, but now my scalp is even more dry than before I used this product. Very disappointing!

so much yes.

I have such an itchy scalp sometimes! This is the only product that has allowed me any comfort. I use it in combination with the Wasabi shuan. I recommend using it with the Wasabi shampoo.
