I am a new lushie finatic, and I have started collecting everything. Let's just say that. First off, let's talk about my scalp. I have very long hair, and only wash it once a week. My hair is trained like this by the way, and I have been doing it for years. The less you wash your hair, the healthier it can be. ANYWAYS, I went into the lush store for the first time, and told the gal I had psoriasis on my scalp, and that I had to use high dollar hair care. I use apple cider vinegar rinse, shampoo , tea tree and charcoal scrubs, ect. Nothing ever makes it truly go away. After three days, the itching psoriasis spots are at it again. I explained this to the gal, and she gave me a sample of two things. "Superbalm" and "Wasabi" shampoo. I took it home excited, tried it, and wasn't that impressed. I did like how the superbalm made my scalp itch a lot less, but it was very thick on my crown, like it I didn't get it all off. This seems to me a problem for a lot of people. Well, I own the full size of Superbalm AND wasabi shampoo, and use together! I know EXACTLY how to use this without the nasty, greasy, film left on your scalp. First off, the superbalm is NOT supposed to be applied IN SHOWER YO WET HAIR! You apply Superbalm RIGHT BEFORE you get in the shower on DRY hair! A little goes a long way. I dip my clean fingers in, and I apply little dabs all over my dry scalp where I have my main psoriasis spots (behind ears, front of scalp, back of scalp, underneath at bottom, and on my right and left side on top) I simply apply dabs of this with my clean fingers to the spots on my scalp that REALLY itch and bother me. I section my hair off, so I can reach the places it itches the most. This superbalm is a "before hair washing treatment" and needs to be addressed as one. If you apply this to wet hair, your going to HATE IT! Take my advice, and get a sample, and apply this to your itchy spots ok your scalp before washing your hair. Leave in for 20 minutes,THEN thank me! Use Wasabi 2

This is amazing! I have always had a dry and itchy scalp and have really struggled with it. I have tried countless shampoos and treatments but they only work for a short term. This product is great! My flakes are gone and my scalp isn't irritated or itchy. I will admit after I washed my hair it does leave a little bit of grease in my hair but it's not noticeable. The little bit of grease doesn't bother me because my scalp is soothed and not itchy so it's such a relief! I found the grease all came out after the second wash with a shampoo bar. Thank you so much for making this product.

Not worth the hassle

I don't know what kind of person it takes for this to NOT turn hair into a greasy, matted mess, but it isn't me. I bought it because I have some flaking issues and wanted something to encourage cell turnover on my scalp. I have fine, straight hair. This lumps into my hair, isn't easy to massage in or spread around, and is impossible to wash out in under two full shampoos. I'm giving it two stars because after it finally rinses out, flakes do seem to dissipate slightly, and I like that it's made with natural ingredients in sustainable packaging. It's just not worth the hassle of having flat and greasy hair for a few days.

Soothes the scalp - just be careful to read the instructions

After a long winter my scalp needed some serious TLC. This superbalm is it! It soothes my scalp, relieves itch, smells lovely, and removed the flakes. It will wash out if you follow the instructions in the video, so be sure to put shampoo in your hair when it's dry before you go into the shower.

Not effective for persistent dandruff

I've been having issues with itchy, dry, flaky scalp. I wanted to try out a lush product before I jump to a chemical based product, but I have to say I was sorely disappointed. I found the superbalm hard to apply to the scalp directly as it mostly clung to my hair as I massaged it in, so I didn't notice any immediate relief after application. Then I tried to wash it out of my hair with no luck. A day later my hair is so greasy I can gel it straight up with my hands. My scalp is still iritated although not flaky as I assume it is sticking to all the grease! I would try a second application if I could figure out a way to apply just to the scalp and not the hair. The smell is also bad, and clings to the hair even after shampoo. The one benefit is that my hair feels super soft from all that coconut oil, but not the treatment I was looking for over all.

The only thing that has ever worked

I'm a cynic , and most products don't work for me. I'm used to getting about 70% of the result I want. Have been dealing with dry itchy scalp for more than a decade but with a recent wether change, it got so much worse and was causing my hair to fall out from how much I was itching and how dry it was. I found this product after looking up dream cream for scalp (lol) and bought it with Big to make sure to get it out. I watched the video on the website and followed instructions, used only a little. Had no problems getting it out and my scalp seems cured. It feels better than I have ever felt it, and my hair is shiny and moisturized, no itching or flakes. And this is someone who has even tried medical grade treatments and shampoos for dermatitis! So I love this result and will probably switch all my shampoos over to lush because my scalp obviously doesn't like the conventional and even the other natural- grade shampoos at all.

I think that the key with this product is to use it in precise area and not all over your scalp. I've had one dry spot that just would not go away and after one use it was pretty much all gone. The smell is horrible but the results you get are 100% worth the smell. I had no trouble washing the product off. 10/10 would recommend to anyone with specifi problem area.

After using this product a few times I have to say my Scalp has way less itchy dandruff. However the smell isn't super amazing so that's why I'm only giving it 4 stars. But if you can get over the strong scent definitely a working product!

I liked the smell but HATED the aftermath..

Between this and a silicone scalp massager I am finally able to handle the dry af dandruff spot I get right at the front of my scalp. Can't be on the back of my head, or right on the crown, it's right at the front near the start of the part in my hair. With giant ugly flakes. Once a week I apply this to my scalp, specifically on that patch, and I use a silicone massager to massage it in and knock any flakes use. After one use the production of flakes was greatly diminished.
