So good

Denver, CO | 10 days ago

Let me start by saying my hair is destroyed. I made the mistake of using cheap shampoo and conditioner on my hair, and my curly hair has been a tangled mess for months. It even stopped curling the way it used to. I used this for this first time last night, and I was amazed at how silky it made my hair feel. For the first time in months, my hair was easy to brush and it curled beautifully. I used this along with the honey I washed my hair shampoo bar and r&b hair moisturizer. So happy with the results!

Nice smell; applies well

I thought I was disappointed when I first got my box and smelled this one, but I was wrong. Now that I've used it a bit, I love the fresh smell: sort of woodsy (but not overpoweringly so), jussst floral enough to balance out the earthiness, and fruity enough to smell fresh and tropical. I can see why they call this one Jungle! I tried this one after the Big (conditioner bar) and American Cream (normal conditioner), both of which I couldn't help but feel reminded me of the smell of baby powder, so you can see why this was so refreshing. Also a nice change after Big: the Jungle bar actually applies to my hair when I rub it on. With the Big bar, I felt like I was scrubbing and scrubbing just to get a tiny bit in my hair. Jungle glides on smooth and I can see where it's applied, and even though it feels like I'm using more of it, it seems to be lasting longer. I feel like the bars in general last longer; I got the small bottle of American Cream once and it lasted for maybe four or five washes. My only downside might be that it doesn't detangle quite like my old Fructis conditioner, which is unfortunate because I have very thick, wavy hair that dearly loves to frizz and tangle. I haven't yet found a Lush conditioner that DOES detangle quite as much as I'd want, but I'd like to stay plastic-free if I can, so I have taken to keeping a comb in the shower and running it through while I condition, and that seems to help. Pros: smells great, applies easier than other conditioner bars, more use than cream conditioner Cons: not the best detangler (still decent)

I recommend cor curly hair.

I brought this product to try it out. I just want to mention that I go for what hair type the model in the how-to video has. Hint hint! That's the kind of hair it's meant for. All in all, I do really like this product, but for the cons, I will say I think this bar smells like grass to me. When it comes to the lather when I first brought it, it did take a good minute~ of rubbing to get it going. After using it a few times it lathers easier. I do really like the product. I have curly-coily, dry, thin, and partly damaged hair. My ends are verrrry dry. I lather my hair starting at the ends, nice and thick, going down the hair (like combing my hair with my fingers while the bar is in my hand) and then go back up to the rest, leaving my roots out except for the driest parts. (Rubbing it around like you would shampoo is what makes your hair tangled and causes breakage. Just run it between your hands a bit first and run down your hair if the issue is the lather.) I will add; it doesn't look like it lathers but it is infact lathering. I do leave some in, specifically the ends and driest parts. When dry, my hair looks really good. Comes out feeling and looking like it's naturally soft and smooth. No need for any extra product and I get compliments on my hair often.

I want to love it, I'm just not there yet.

I like the way it smells. I like the packaging. It takes a lot of effort to get it worked into my hair. I wish it were just a little creamier maybe? Anything to help get the product into my hair a little faster.

Wow....I love this

Not only because it makes my bathroom smell like a Hawaiian getaway but it does a great job of just moisturizing my waves enough and not to weigh them down...

Love it! I smell like rain!

Pittsburgh, PA | 20 days ago

I've found success in scrubbing it directly on my hair rather than trying to get a lather in my hands, and I like to apply a little more after I get out of the shower to act as a detangler. It won't have the loose, slippery feel of traditional conditioners but once you get used to applying it differently from traditional conditioners it's nice! I think it smells like a rainstorm and my life goal is to smell like the male love interest of a YA novel so I'm happy. I use it with the Seanik solid shampoo and I end up with perfect post-beach-day hair

This is my favorite Lush product. I have thin, wavy hair, and lots of it. This conditioner makes my hair feel soft and silky but not weighed down. One of my favorite parts is the smell. It is such a great and fresh scent. I can't say enough good things about this product and I really hope they do not discontinue it.

Why did you change it?

Rosendale, NY | 30 days ago

Jungle has been a favorite of mine for years. I noticed with my latest bar that the bar is different, and resembles more of a shampoo bar. I feel like it takes a lot more work to get a generous amount of product into my hair vs. The old bars creamier consistency. I think the fragrance is also less powerful now. My favorite part. Good thing Lush makes a Jungle body spray to make up for it. I'm just disappointed about the change, making it a less functional conditioner bar.

Smells like patchouli

Calgary | 30 days ago

It works great but it smells so strongly of patchouli/incense/musk

You will think it's not working, trust the bar

Before I bought this bar I was bathing my hair in detangler just to manage the knots. After one use, brushing my hair was so easy. I've used the bar countless times now and it still has the same effect. The second time I used this bar, I purchased a backup bar so I didn't run out of it. I bought it on 3/4/2020 and here on July 10, 2020 the bar is still going strong. These things last forever! My major piece of advice is, do not rub the bar on your head - lather it in your hands. In my experience, rubbing the bar on my head caused my hair to be too oily.
