You do not put your shampoo bar into the tin while its still wet because obviously the product is going to dry onto the container. I've found one decent smack on the bottom or side is enough to jar my shampoo bar loose. If used properly this is perfect storage for your shampoo bar.

Bought this whole logistics driving two years and figured out how to use it. Took a paper towel and put it in the sink next to the tin. Once I was finished with the shampoo puck, I held it loosely in my hand around it and shook out the water, placed it on the sink counter until I was out of the shower. Once I was done and ready to pack my toiletries, I wrapped the shampoo puck in the paper towel just to pat it dry, like I would dry a wet leaf of romaine lettuce. It worked. Took a second. No more stuck puck in my tin. No more bent up tin. Beautiful! Last apartment I had it was great in the shower, but now I can't find it in my new apartment, so I'm ordering a new one.

Not as bad as the reviews say

Bought this for my shampoo puck. I have no issues taking out the product. I think letting the bar dry a bit before closing the tin helps. I usually shampoo and then set it aside with the lid open while I finish my shower. By the time I'm out, it's dry enough to close.

As many have stated these tins don't fit the full size bars, and once they do you loose half your shampoo because it stuck to the bottom. I got natural loofah and cut the thinnest piece I could and it fit perfectly in the bottom of the tin, which my soap doesn't stick too. Sucks that you have to spend money to use something you bought to save money and the planet.

As many have mentioned, it is impossible to get the shampoo out of the tin without destroying it. I finally got mine out and decided to set it in the lid instead. It still sticks to the lid but I least I can kind of use it. I would not recommend.

Difficult to get shampoo out.

This is great that it stires the shampoo bar but it can be difficult to get a full size bar out after it's been used and wet as it sticks to the tin. I had to break my bar in half to get it out as it was stuck. Slightly larger containers would be more ideal.

I would not buy this for the 3rd time

Several years ago, I had purchased a shampoo bar and this round tin to store it in. I recently became re interested in the concept of these shampoo bars and the waste reduction that accompanies them, so I decided to purchase a shampoo bar and the tin once again, forgetting why I stopped using them in the first place. The reason; this round tin is AWFUL. I used the shampoo bar, put it in this tin, and the next time I went to use it, IT. WILL. NOT. COME. OUT. OF. THE. TIN. I don't understand why Lush doesn't change it. I saw another review that someone posted saying they put parchment paper lining the bottom so they could get the bar out of the tin, which seems like something they shouldn't have to do if they purchased a product specifically designed to keep the shampoo bar in in the first place! Lush PLEASE fix the dimensions of the tin, or line the bottom of the tin with something that actually allows the shampoo bar to be removed once again, because your shampoo bars are genuinely great products, but this round tin is horrendous.

Not unless you want your money to literally go down the drain, you will need this tin for the shampoo bars.

I tend to write reviews after months of use. I having been using this tin since Feb 2020 and now it's Aug 2020 as I write this. I love this tin. It is compact and great to travel with and I will include a few tips I have learned along the way. I have used a Shampoo bar in it (fits perfect) and the 7 to 3 Cleansing Pad (fits great also!) The tin seals air tight and that is nice. Here are a few tips: For home use it is best to not close your tin right after putting your wet product back into it. Since it is so air tight the wet product won't dry. So I place the lid under the tin and let the product air dry. For travel: I did a lot of on the road camping for 2 weeks (we love camping!) so after using my shampoo bar or cleansing pad I would lightly dry the product with my towel BEFORE placing it back into the tin then close it. No mess and product kept well.

DO NOT USE!!!

This tin is air tight - so if your shampoo bar has even the slightest dampness it will melt quickly in this tin. Instead of lasting months your bar will turn into sticky mush and last only a few days - as I learned the hard way while on vacation in a remote location. Very frustrating. Leave your bar to completely air dry!!!
