Women in War Zones

Women in War Zones is a grassroots humanitarian charity dedicated to telling the personal stories of women in areas of conflict in order to promote women's human rights and health, prevent war crimes and achieve victory over abuse of women living in war zones. Their primary field initiative is in the D.R. Congo working for the psycho-social rehabilitation of rape-survivors.

How we helped

LUSH funding went towards the costs of the micro credit loan program for the war affected women at the Panzi Hospital in the DRC. The funding is to provide micro credit loans for 60 woman, the salary for one full-time teacher administrator (hired from the community), purchase and printing of educational materials and six training seminars.
