How we helped

The Lush Charity Pot grant will support our work with grassroots organizers, the Campaign Accelerator program. Campaign Accelerator seeks to change how people act in the political arena to ensure their environmental values are a key part of the debate. We do this by training grassroots organizers in key parts of BC in engagement organizing techniques, and providing ongoing mentorship to help make their local campaigns as effective as possible. Campaign Accelerator is building a network of community leaders using engagement organizing to enable local citizens to hold their elected representatives to account and ensure government recognizes that environmental values are widespread and can move voters. The Charity Pot grant will specifically provide support to four important training gatherings in the next several months as our Campaign Accelerator participants and the Organizing for Change member organizations embark on planning for the coming provincial election period.
