Living Lakes is an international network of non-government associations with a mission to
enhance the protection, restoration and rehabilitation of lakes, wetlands and watersheds throughout the
world. The network was created in 1998 by Global Nature Fund in Germany and is now a partnership of
over 75 environmental organizations representing 65 lakes and wetlands worldwide.
The donation from Lush will support the expansion of our groundwater monitoring program, a groundbreaking program in British Columbia that will play a critical role in developing groundwater regulations required in BC's new Water Sustainability Act. This program brings together citizen science and policy, engaging local residents to monitor their groundwater and inputting this data to create strong policies and regulations that will protect our most valuable resource - our water.
