Liberation BC Society

Liberation BC envisions a world in which humans recognize and respect that all animals have a fundamental right to life, liberty and freedom from human-caused exploitation and harm. Founded in 2004, Liberation BC has exposed the violent realities of animal exploitation through outreach and education. Liberation BC promotes the ethical vegan lifestyle as the most effective and attainable action that individuals can adopt as a way to counter industrial animal exploitation. However, we recognize that individual actions alone could not bring about systemic and cultural change, unless we build and support a strong community of effective animal advocates.

How we helped

Charity Pot's grant helped make the 2016 Vancouver Animal Advocacy Camp conference more accessible to more people by reducing the cost to attend. With help from Lush, Liberation BC is able to bring more individuals who are concerned about the lives of animals together, to network and build a stronger and more effective community for the local animal advocacy movement.
