Since our inception in 2012, the Freshwater Alliance has established itself as the go-to organization on strategies for effective freshwater engagement. Over this short time, we have built a network of 5300 freshwater supporters and followers, representing over 1,000 unique organizations spanning the country. Through both direct engagement on critical freshwater issues and in service delivery, we support the deepening of engagement for freshwater protection. We never work alone and pride ourselves on the work we do to engage and support Canada’s leading grassroots and community level initiatives.

How we helped

This grant will help the Freshwater Alliance convene its network of small grassroots organizations, to learn from each other, and to strategize on the best opportunities to align our efforts for bigger freshwater wins across the country.
