FANG

Founded in 2014, FANG has led escalated nonviolent resistance to the fracked-gas industry, with a focus on stopping Spectra Energy’s pipeline expansions proposed for the Northeast. The pipeline expansions would hook the Northeast to fossil fuels would and lead to Liquid natural gas exports, all at a cost of $17-$30 billion. To combat these expansions, FANG has formed coalitions, done community organizing and when necessary, taken nonviolent direct action - including tree-sits and lockdowns. FANG also works to shed light on the social impacts of climate change and takes action in solidarity with other movements for justice.
