Community Services Unlimited

Community Services Unlimited works directly with communities in Los Angeles, California, to create programs that enhance access to nutrition and a sustainable local food system. Food is grown, distributed and bought within the community. The programs incorporate training and education, the creation of jobs and entrepreneurial opportunities and partnerships with regional farmers.

How we helped

Funds from Charity Pot go towards the costs of training for 31 at-risk youth through CSU’s “From the Ground Up” program, which runs the Rooted In Community Conference in 2013. Rooted in Community is a national gathering of young people (mostly of color) from around the United States, engaged in food systems work, organized by youth for youth.
