The mission of the Adaptive Design Association is simple—to make sure that every child with a disability receives the customized equipment they need to make school work more inclusive and rewarding, play time more fun, social networks wider, and perceived differences negligible.
ADA serves children of all ethnicities and socioeconomic levels, aged birth to 12 years, from all five New York City boroughs and serves approx. 2000 people annually. The ADA offers training and education programs, builds adaptive equipment for children and collaborates with other organizations across the city to help address the needs of its clients.
How we helped
Funds from Charity Pot go towards the costs of courses and follow up for families in New York City to advocate for a more transparent and accountable care system for children with disabilities in the school systems in five NYC boroughs.
