The first use of this product, there must have been too much coal at the bottom of the bar and it actually scratched my skin, leaving me with cuts on my arms and legs for 2 weeks. I decided to endure on and it's an incredible exfoliator, smells great and leaves your skin quite soft. The biggest down side is how absolutely quickly this bar dissolves. For more than $10.00 , this bar has lasted me maybe 10 showers. Not to mention the disaster it leaves behind.

All things aside, I still adore this product because it's effective and I encourage others to give this a try if you're in the market for a deep exfoliation. Just be prepared to clean up the mess.

love this product but i definitely recommend a box or a tin to keep it in in the shower because it can waste fast when the water rom the shower is constantly hitting it.

So much good things from a little dirty thing. Not a fan of the fruity smell but it works so well that you can't fall in love with it. It scrub your skin so well and live it hydrated like you can't imagine. It's a two in one with the best of two sides. I use a soap or a shower gel then turn the shower off and apply the bar everywhere and scrub the product with my hands. Don't scrub directly with the bar because it's gonna melt and live you alone in the shower in a second. After that you just rince and don't forget the bath tub.

I love this product. The smell is absolutely AMAZING, it moisturizes my skin so that I don't need to put body lotion on after a shower and it exfoliates my body as well. It is a little messy but I just wipe down the shower after I use it and all is good, I also wish it lasted a bit longer... it melts quickly and I don't think I will purchase it through the warm, humid summer since it will just melt away.

LUSH: Please make this scent into a perfume! The smell is so light on my skin that it is gone quickly after I use it. I would die for the comforter perfume to come back!

This product smells amazing and it felt great when I tried it in the store, however, I couldn't get past how dirty it made my shower. I'd prefer to buy a white/cream coloured scrub next time

I use this every shower and I scrub it all over to get rid of my bumps and acne scars. I like how the exfoliating bits stays on until I rinse it off, unlike Ocean Salt. I LOOVEEE the smell of YSTW, but it makes a mess. Whenever I use it, the charcoal-y water goes all over my poor white bathtub and it doesn't rinse off! The bar also didn't last very long..probably lasted only 10 showers for me. Nonetheless it works super well!

The woman at the store sold this to me as an all-purpose soap, so the first time i used it in the bath. I found it melted really fast and didn't think that was right. Came to the website to find out its a body butter. I'm not sure as to why people say to wash it off, would you wash your hands right after you put hand cream on? I find what works for me is keeping it in the shower so after a quick towel dry I can run it down my legs a couple of times and rub it in. the couple of beads of water i miss help to spread the greyish color out and soon after you can't see it at all.

I use this on a daily basis, and can't say enough good things about it. It's super moisturising and the scent lasts the entire day. It smells a lot like the sweetie pie shower jelly (i think it smells like swedish barries) with a hint of mint/eucalyptus.

This was very, very messy.

I read reviews of this before trying it, so I figured I knew what I was in for. But no - rubbing it on the way I have other Lush moisturisers/body butters left blotchy grey streaks all over my body. I had to scrub with a washcloth to get all the colouration off, which probably negatively impacted how much moisturiser my skin absorbed. To contrast, with Buffy, my current favourite, I simply rinse and then pat myself dry.

It also didn't spread well. With other Lush moisturiser bars, I could run the bar along my arm a few times, then rub thoroughly to work it in everywhere. With this, once it was on a particular spot, it wasn't spreading anywhere else.

Then, of course, the mess it made of my tub - I had to wipe it down twice afterwards to get all the black off the sides. Definitely a shower product and not a bath one.

It smells nice and lingers more than most Lush soaps, and my skin feels reasonably soft after using it. Because of that, I gave it two stars instead of one. But I would not buy it again, and frankly, I've never been as disappointed in a Lush product.

I bought YSTW mainly for it's delicious scent and exfoliating powers. I use it on my arms where I have bumpy skin and it smoothed out my bumps amazingly! I rub it on while the shower is running, rub in and rinse off. I love the lingering scent in my bathroom and the smooth feeling of my skin. I love exfoliation so I didn't find this bar to be outrageously vicious, it was a nice feeling but not too harsh. As most other reviewers say it does get quite messy, I found that after a few uses the charcol left the skin around my armpits black, but with some body wash and a loofah that came right off.
The main con of this body bar is that it's not long lasting, it shrinks significantly each time I use it but to me this little bar is a nice treat in the shower so I wouldn't be opposed to buy another one.
Honestly: the delicious scent and smooth feeling of my skin weighs out the not long lasting and messy cons for me.

I love this product, mainly for its smell. It has a very black currant-y scent, super berry and fruity and fresh. It goes on well as long as your skin is wet. I don't have a problem with its messyness as I put the bar directly on my body and then jump in the shower. No black/grey streaks are left. I actually like to use it on my face which is prone to acne and oiliness, and a whole day after I use it, it still isn't oily. I have also noticed my face is a bit clearer from using it. Also, it makes my skin EXTREMELY soft/smooth. I love it for just that. I would totally recommend it to others.

A great product. Some users complain that it dissolves too quickly. I give a couple good swipes up and down then put the bar down and rub the product in with my hands. Works like a charm!

I absolutely adore this body butter! It has helped the acne on my back and shoulders disappear!

I find that this product is best used after you've softened your skin in the shower, turn the tap off, and rub all over! After you're done, rinse off (pay attention to the sides of your body and your underarms), and enjoy the wonderful scent.

The only flaw I find with this bar is that it doesn't last long enough. I wish Lush made a bigger size like with Buffy.

i am an old school lushie, though this is my first review. ive never been compelled to write one but this is a product that i both love and dislike so much at the same time. the smell is fabulous esp when layered after sweetie pie. the feeling of it going on is nice, perfect amt of scrubbyness but it melts to nothing if you use it in the shower or with really wet skin. i find it best to wash and then turn the water off and with just damp skin scrub all over and then rinse off. i have a tiled shower and would not use this in my white soaker tub. it rinses off the tiles easy.

i wish they had kept the so soft (i think it was called? the orange body butter that just smelled amazing!!!)

this one smells great but once out of the shower and dry, i find no smell lingers at all snd i dont find any moisture left either. not great for those with dry skin. i still need moisturizer after.

i buy this once in a while as a treat simply because i like using it but you really only get 2-4 uses out of it so the price is a bit much for me to add it to my "desert island survival pack"

I love this body butter! It smells delicious, and is both moisturizing and exfoliating. I bought one in the store and used it up really quickly, so i ordered another online. Once it arrived, i smelled it and it was strange...it smelled extremely chocolatey (though the blackcurrant scent was still there)! I actually ended up loving the chocolate fragrance, but I haven't been able to find another that smells like chocolate, but i haven't given up yet! Either way, with or without the chocolate, this is a gorgeous body butter and i would recommend it to anyone.

This is my favourite body butter of all time. Seriously, I cannot stress enough how amazing it is. The smell is absolutely delightful - exactly that of blackcurrant! It moisturizes really well and the scent lingers if you use it correctly. The only downside is that it doesn't last a really long time, which is okay because i don't use it every day. Five stars for the scent and effectiveness!

This bar is like magic for troubled skin. I have keratosis pilaris (red skin on the back of my arm with little bumps that look like 'chicken skin')and there is no cure for it, but YSTW body butter helps a lot! It is a great exfoliator, the charcoal really detoxes skin, and the macadamia nut oil moisturizes perfectly! The smell is fruity soft, just like The Comforter bubble bar and it really lasts a long time. I use this on my KP and follow with Dream Cream, and my skin looks and feels a lot better. The girl in the lush store told me this bar is also great for body acne.

This products melts fast but I use it once a week. I felt I needed something a little rough and this did the job. It smells great. I am a bit of a product jucky and have alot of half used stuff around so I don't really mind buying new one because it IS being used. Product was not as mess as I expected. Just spray with shower head.

Looking for something that would moisturize my skin for the winter, when I historically have endured dry itchy skin that would keep me up scratching at night, I was drawn to this one for its aesthetic appeal. It looks like a bar of charcoal. Awesome. The smell didn't appeal to me much until I started using it. The true scent of blackcurrant wafted into my nose.



It was my first purchase from Lush, and I am so pleased with what I got. I was expecting it to be greasy to some extent, but it really is not. At all. It is pure softness in a bar.



Even my boyfriend started using it to 'freshen up' ;)



It's just too bad that it doesn't last long.

I was excited to try something different than Buffy, but I wish I hadn't. This melts in the shower and I'm pretty much done the bar and it has only been three weeks or four uses. It's a lot better if you use it before you get in the shower and just put in on your body like massage bar then rinse it off.

I don't know why this gets so much hate b/c it's great! It made my skin so smooth and it wasn't too harsh like the sugar scrubs. Yes, it black but it's able to be washed away easily and if you don't let the stuff completely dry on you it comes off in a snap. As for it staining the tub it didn't do it for me. It left bits of the scrub but I was able to wipe it off. I HIGHLY recommend people to try this if they don't mind getting alittle messy...It's worth it ;)
