Skin brightening mud bar

Made with Rhassoul mud from the Atlas Mountains, this soap works marvels on troubled skin. Perfumed with earthy patchouli, each muddy bar contains pumice powder to exfoliate. After the Rhassoul mud cleans away dirt, use the ground pumice to slough away dead skin. Use it on feet, elbows and knees, all the tough bits. By the time you start up a new piece of Waylander Rhassoul, you'll find that your skin has already transformed itself magically from dull to bright.

Features

  • Don’t live near a mud spring? Neither do we. But we do have the next best thing with Waylander Rhassoul, our deep cleaning hand and body soap.
  • Go ahead, get muddy! Waylander contains Moroccan Rhassoul mud to draw out deep down dirt, and oil out of the skin.
  • Ground pumice: Pumice gently scrubs and exfoliates to leave you feeling fresh and smooth.

Customer Review

from Em Bee Aitch
"So refreshing on sticky days. Yes, it smells like patchouli and mud and earth and trees. It can also be a tiny bit smoky, and a tiny bit spicy, like pipe tobacco. This soap is NOT flowery, sweet or frilly in any way. Kind to my summer-parched face and skin. ...more"

I have had this soap on my drawer for a while with no real intention on using it. Today I decided to try something new and picked it up from my stash and I loved it!! I like to take long showers in the morning and as soon as I got back from work I had to have another shower just to smell it all over my body again. Although I did smell it on me for a while after, it didn't last long. Also from those 2 showers the bar has distinguishably worn out. A most try if you like creamy earthy soaps.

I am a total lush-lover and I hate to write a bad review. BUT I would not recommend buying this soap before smelling it in the store.

I'm sure some people would like this smell, but I thought it was aweful! It is extremely earthy, musty and just kind of stanky. I can't quite put my finger on what it else it smells like, but IT IS NOT GOOD. Also, the smell is nearly impossible to get off your skin, i have washed my hands with Vanilla in the Mist 3 times since using this soap, and the smell is still extremely overpowering.

However, the exfoliating pumice in the soap is awesome and it has a really nice creamy texture, so if you can get over the smell I'm sure this would be a good soap.

I want to like it, Lush, but please rethink this scent.

Comments about LUSH Waylander Rhassoul:

This is a distinctive-smelling soap. You'll either love it or hate it. I lovelovelove it. I found it in the UK and had it shipped to Canada before it became one of the retro options. If you're looking for fruity or flowery, this is not your soap. If you love walking in the woods and the smell of fall rains, I think this soap will captivate you too. If not, send it to me!!!

Didn't live up to my expectations

      Comments about LUSH Waylander Rhassoul:

So, I bought this after reading the description fully thinking that I was going to love it. And after all, it must be great if it was brought back in retro, right? wrong.

First of all I love patchouli so I was really disappointed when I opened this soap and it had zero scent. Doesn't smell like patchouli, doesn't smell like anything.

Then I was kind of expecting it to be a little crumbly and messy and melty since its made with rhassoul and pumice. Nope. There is rhassoul and pumice IN it, but its definitely got a soap base.

Then when I used it I was expecting it to be exfoliating since it says its good for knees and feet and elbows. It isn't. There isn't enough pumice in it to do much of anything, even on my chest and arms, it surely will not smooth your feet.

This product fell short of any expectations I had for it. Its a soap, with no scent, with mud in it.

I received this soap as a sample in my online delivery. At first i was skeptical but it turned out that I love the earthy smell! It's perfect for a quick shower when you don't have time to make a huge lather and hold the bar in your hand (it'll melt otherwise!). The smell was new and different but I think I'll invest in more in the future!

        Comments about LUSH Waylander Rhassoul:

It's rhassoul mud. It's gonna be soft. "Creamy" is the word used in the description copy, and I think that's apt. This soap, like Mud Flats, can make a lovely quickie mask for your face. It's exceptionally good to my skin, soothing and softening it, never drying it. Even more than most Lush soaps, this one MUST be kept away form running water ... a bit tricky in the shower, I know. I wouldn't use Waylander in the bath, as the entire bar might melt away during one soak. But that's mud for ya. The scent is unique, but it does NOT smell bad or musty or rotten. Not to me, anyway. It's always been faintly patchouli and full-on-mud. The pumice is very gentle. No other soap like it. I like to alternate this one with Karma.

I got a sample of this soap with my most recent Lush order. I know Lush suggests you do not use their soaps on your face, but once I found out what was in it I just HAD to try it.

It made my skin feel so clean! And of course, with the pumice in it, my skin has never felt so soft. While the scent was no Godmother at first, I have to say it became rather nice once mixed with the scent of my toner and moisturizer.

I might have to get some more of this stuff.

I really should have read the reviews first before buying...bought it online. I used it today and thought ok I won't be hasty, I'll give it a try. I just could not get past the very pungent smell this soap has. Never thought I would dislike something from Lush but I actually tossed it in the garbage. Forgive me Lush but this soaps scent just doesn't cut it...but that being said, it is very softening to the skin.

This soap is NOT flowery, sweet or frilly in any way. Kind to my summer-parched face and skin. Lathers nicely, but will melt quickly in hot water - it is made of mud, after all. Creamy. I love patchouli -- Karma, Tramp, Blue Skies -- so I love Waylander Rhassoul. It's much more straight-up that Karma, Tramp or Blue Skies. If you don't like patchouli, don't bother with this (gorgeous!) soap.
