I didn't know what to expect when I received my first bottle of this. It was so thick! The smell was mini heaven. It brought me back to a time when my family was en route from Canada to Germany via a stopover in Nottingham. My father met and married when he was stationed at Langar, so we still have family there even though we are back in Canada. But I digress. I was about 4 years old and I remember walking down the cul de sac where my grandparents lived and there was an outdoor tennis court with the fence covered by different types of plants and the spearmint really stood out in my mind so that even today when I smell it I think of England. Funny how a shampoo could trigger a memory.

I received this product in the mail today and used it as soon as i got home from work. I work in a hot kitchen so by the end of the day any product i had in my hair has essentially melted and made my hair feel terrible and dirty.
As soon as I poured some in my hand the entire shower filled with a rich minty smell and it got even better once I lathered.
It lathered well and cam off cleanly leaving my hair soft and very clean removing all the grease and the oils that collect from working in a kitchen.
I plan on using this every day after work now because I am in love

I have long, dark, thick, coarse hair that tends oily at the roots and dry at the ends. Right up until I purchased Washday, I was using Neutrogena Clarifying Shampoo once a month to get rid of build-up. No more, I say! I am completely enamoured with this shampoo, not as daily use, but in place of Neutrogena once a month. The colour is a dark, rich green, which apparently turns darker with time to almost black. However, the smell is wonderful. The best way I can describe it is if you smashed up loads of kale, wheatgrass, and other leaves, and the resulting fragrance is something that's leafy, green, healthy, and completely good for you. I wish they made this into a shower gel, because the shampoo was a bit too drying for my skin.

ohhhhh my! I finally found my fav Lush shampoo. my ultra short fine hair always looked limp and greasy within a day but Washday has fixed that. The tingle on the scalp is an added bonus to the shine and life. Even my greys look better...lol

I wash my hair daily and find that this shampoo doesn't really add anything...Nice scent but I found that after I leave the shower, nothing.
My hair feels somewhat lifeless, and I need to use more that I do with other Lush shampoos.
Didn't thrill me like the rest of my care package, but not terrible either.
