I like this product it has light pretty herbal scent and the bar itself is lovely as it shimmers. The product lathers really well and washed out without leaving any residue. I wash my hair every other day and this is gentle enough for me to use for every wash. My hair is thick and waist length so it is great that you don't need to use very much product to get a good lather. On the down side I found this bar gets sticky very easily. I pat the bar dry with a towel and let it air dry after each use, but I find it still gets a little sticky, more so than my Seanik or Jumping Juniper. This product also does not add any more shine than a regular shampoo so that was kind of a let down, but it's still a great buy I will repurchase in the future.

I was surpirsed to see that others have commented it dries hair out. I have very think, dry and wavy hair and althought it is not the most moisturizing shampoo (try godiva or trichomania)it has never left my hair dry or britlle.
It HAS left my hair looking very shiny and unbelieveably healthy. It does not leave the little glittery peices in your hair or in the shower.
Very easy to use, lathers very quickly and easily and lasts forever. I love how soft and light my hair feels after I use this shampoo. For those with thinner hair I imagine this would be a great volumizer but unfortunatley I just have too much hair for that to happen!
I have even had friends comment after trying this that there hair has never felt so good. A great buy and delivers what it says it will.

First solid shampoo we tried out - very impressed. It was almost effortless to use, and my weird sticky-uppy curls are hanging down! I wouldn't recommend it for daily use, though - it makes everything so squeaky clean.

I could barely get this one to lather and even if I just rubbed the shampoo bar directly in my hair, I still barely got any shampoo in my hair. It smells decent, but it's a rather weak scent and doesn't linger in your hair. Maybe it's the fact that my hair is super thick, but it didn't make my hair shiny at all. It works as a regular shampoo, but it doesn't do what it's advertised to do.

I bought this because I wanted to try a solid shampoo and I wanted shiner hair. I have blond hair and I never feel like it's as shiney as it could be. Ultimate Shine makes my hair soooo shiney, easy to work with, and it isn't greasy for days. I used to wash my hair everyother day but by the third day it was gross and needed a wash. Now I can go two-three days without washing it and it doesn't look gross at all! Definitely a great product!

I got this as a sample at my local LUSH. The cashier noticed all of the products I was purchasing were for my face, and asked if I'd ever used anything from LUSH on my hair. I timidly said no. My hair is long, frizzy and slightly damaged from colour-treatment. To be honest, I wasn't expecting great results but decided to try it. I'm a sucker for freebies! And guess what? I'm now giving away my bottled shampoo stash. I never want to use a different shampoo again! My highlights look a million times better.

It lathers well and I can actually feel it cleaning my hair. Some people are put off by the smell, but I like it. I haven't needed to use hair products after washing like before. My hair seems to fall right into place with minimal frizz and flyaways. I always had to wash my hair everyday before because it would get oily quickly. Now I don't have that problem, but I have to stop myself from constantly touching my hair because it's so soft.

I bought this product hoping to add shine to my newly dyed black hair. Ive used other LUSH shampoos in the past, Rehab in particular worked very well, but I wanted to try a solid shampoo. The idea of using no packaging and lasting a long time was very appealing to me.

It smelled lovely and it lathered very well with only 3 strokes across my hair.

However, when I washed it out, I noticed my hair was clean. Too clean. Uncomfortably clean to the point where I couldn't run my fingers through my wet hair. It was so squeaky clean that my normally oily hair felt dried out.

I had to use a lot of conditioner just make make my hair feel moisturized after using this solid shampoo.

Perhaps I should try another solid shampoo. It might not be like this one, but the bottom line is, once this one runs out, I wont be buying it again.

When I first heard that one puck equals about 3 bottles of shampoo, I had to give the solid shampoos a try. Ultimate Shine was my first choice because I had normal hair and it had a neutral scent. I wet my hair and swiped the shampoo bar all over my head (more times than suggested). It lathered quite nicely, but I do find that there is less lather compared to liquid shampoos. Using Ultimate Shine left my hair feeling clean and soft once dry. It did feel a little bit dry and 'gritty' while rinsing. Also, Ultimate Shine did not leave any scent in my hair. I found the fragrance left right when I rinsed it off. Overall it didn't seem to do anything special.



It is only getting 4 stars however because I find that it left my hair soft but not shiny at all.. which is disappointing, considering it is supposed to give shine. I wouldn't recommend Ultimate Shine to a friend, but I would recommend LUSH's solid shampoos in general.

This was my first foray with solid shampoo and I was pleasently surprised.



Like most people I hadn't tried it because I thought it wouldn't lather enough for me to get it through my thick hair but, it lathered perfectly so don't let that stop you!



Overall The smell is subtle and light. This particular bar has 'sparkles' in it but they don't show in your hair. It has made a HUGE difference in the health/texture of my hair.



Try it, you'll love it!

I love ultimate shine! I recently henna-ed my dark brown hair with caca rouge and the sales associate at Lush recommended I try ultimate shine just so the auburn in my hair can gleam more in the sun. Thank goodness I listened to her advice! I'm never going back to bottled shampoos sold at department stores.



Ultimate shine lathers really really well and yet, it doesn't melt quickly. I've had it for a month and it looks like it's the same size as when I bought it. My hair used to be really oily before and I would have to wash my hair daily just so I wouldn't look like a grease-monkey. With ultimate shine, I find that I can go without washing my hair for two to three days and it still looks absolutely amazing. The first time I tried it, I found that it was a bit drying. But hello! That's what the Veganese conditioner is for! I stand behind this product 100%.



For those of you who don't want shiny hair (maybe you want a shampoo that does something else), I still recommend you try any solid shampoo from LUSH! My sister uses NEW! and she loves it. You won't be disappointed, I promise.

I love the solid shampoo bars, but this one didn't really impress me. I don't not like it, but it doesn't seem to do anything special. I like the scent in the store, but after I used it that faded and it now smells like, well, nothing. It cleans well, though sometimes I have to wash my hair more than once for the level of squeeky-cleanness that I like, but it doesn't seem to add a ton of shine to my hair.

I'll keep using mine, but I don't think I'll buy it again.

this makes my hair so shiny!

it doesn't have much of a lasting smell, but i like that because i use the american cream conditioner and it allows that smell to take centre stage.

i do find that it makes my hair a little greasy faster than usual... i typically wash my hair every other day because it dries out if i wash it daily. however, my hair starts to feel like there is residue on it the second day, which i could do without.

it lathers amazingly and lasts forever... i bought it around a month ago and it looks like it's never even been used.

overall it's a good shampoo... i like the solids and probably wouldn't go back!

This shampoo really gives that crazy shine! I liked it, except that its not very effective for cleaning; I had to wash my hair more often than usual because the roots would get greasy faster. The scent isn't remarkable, a bit like laurel but not strong at all.

I use this everytime I shower! I travel alot and with the strict liquid-rules on airplanes, this product is travel-safe. It doesn't take much space or weight when I'm travelling lightly. The smell isn't too strong,which I actually like since sometimes I'm going for a chocolate them or a honey theme and don't want the shampoo scent to throw that off. I was originally reluctant to try this product because I wasn't sold on the idea of a solid shampoo, but it has worked perfectly and makes bubbles so easily!

This is my very first LUSH product and I am SO in LOVE! I truly did not think that a bar, with only three swipes could lather so much! It smells great, and rinses clean. My hair feels a ton healthier since I've used it and the shine is awesome! My hair used to get greasy if I didn't wash every day with drug store shampoos, but with this little shampoo bar my hair has not gotten greasy or felt like there is residue remaining in it. I definitely suggest any and every one to try it!
