First off, the smell is divine! I used it after my bath last night and I have never felt so good inside my own skin. It calmed the eczema on my legs right down and soothed my dry patchy areas. I will always use this product!

This is one of the first products I bought from Lush and what a great introduction to the company and its products. I look forward to applying this body lotion every day because it smells just divine and it feels heavenly. Your skin will thank you everytime you use it. It absorbs well and you don't need to use very much. I'm going to buy this again and again and have already given it as a gift.

I suffer from chronic celulitis due to an immunal condition and this product is heaven when it's active. My legs get extremely swollen and angry and the only options I have to stop the burning are loads of antihistamines or steroids. Now I have another option, Sympathy! It gives temporary relief even if it's just for a few hours and it's great after the attacks to get me back on track to healthy skin. I usually use King of Skin in the shower to try to prevent attacks by keeping my skin super moisturized - unfortunately since it's ummunal doesn't work but it feels good anyhow!

I am a new Lushie and went into the store looking to buy Dream Cream for my eczema (since it's apparently good for that), but liked the smell of this one better so left with this one after the sales person told me that for my skin it would be fine (I don't have very severe eczema, but it is moderate on my hands, feet and elbows mostly).

I have used it for a few days now and it has helped get rid of it all on my hands and elbows, and my feet don't start itching partway through the day, driving me crazy until I get home. You have no idea how happy this makes me.

Plus it smells like banana pancakes with creme chantilly on top. As in: a very mildly banana-ey and vanilla-ey smelling creme, which almost has the texture of whipped cream, and for me was very non-greasy. Maybe they have changed the formula a bit since some previous reviewers, because I got no greasiness at all.

Definitely a must have!

After reading many reviews and trying this moisturizer in the store I decided to purchase it. The smell is amazing. It definitely smells better on the skin then in the pot. I find the texture of the lotion to be a bit watery, however it does absorb well and makes my skin soft. I do find this moisturizer a tad greasy after it is applied, but its not a huge deal. Overall, it is a nice body moisturizer. I find it works best after a hot shower/bath or right before bed.

When I first started applying it I wasn't convinced. It smells fantastic and there's no argument with that. Reminds me of Natural vanilla ice cream and bananas!
It would apply easily though and I felt like I used quite a bit. Literally 5 minutes later I had the softest skin I have ever had. Not a single rough spot!
This stuff is fantastic!

I was drawn to this product cause of the bananas. However when I tried it at the store it had an unpleasant smell to it. I tried it anyway and it would not absorb. I literally walked around the store rubbing my hands together trying to get it to absorb.

I will admit though that it is long lasting and that the smell does get a little bit better after some time being on your hands.

I love this lotion! It smells great and goes on so nicely. The only downside is it is a bit greasy once applied. It's perfect to put on before bed!

Well hello there, Sympathy!

I moved to Calgary from the East Coast last May, 2011.
Coming from a very moisture-ridden climate to one virtually void of it, it took a lot of adjustment, especially skin-wise.
Never one to have used moisturizers before, I was desperate for something to sooth the itching and burning and cracking.
Lo and behold, Sympathy for the Skin is just what I needed.
Never having experienced "wind burn" before, a couple of weeks ago, I just didn't know what to do to relieve the chapped skin on my hands. Then it dawned on me that I had a huge pot of Sympathy hanging out at home.
Now, I sit at my desk at work and just moisturize. Amazing! within two days of using this and ultrabalm, my hands are silky smooth and soft again. yay!
I had some super dry skin on my legs.. put this on, and bam.. less than two days later, my legs are soft again, too. Thanks Lush! you rock my world.

At first when I smelled this lotion in the pot, I didn't like it at all; it resembled old banana peels mixed with socks. But nevertheless, I got a sample of it, and WOW. Once it's on your skin, it smells SOOOOOO good. Seriously, it smells like you dipped your hands in banana cream pie. It absorbs very fast, and is super moisturizing. The only downfall is that it is a tad sticky. However, the scent makes up for that, which I'm in LOVE with. I could sit there forever just smelling my skin.

I love Sympathy for the Skin! I purchase a lot of Lush products, online and at the retail stores, and have requested a sample of this twice. I'm very fussy regarding hand and body lotions. There are a lot out there that are either too thick or too watery. This lotion is perfect, it has a great mild scent that can usually be a base scent for any fragrance you're wearing. It particularly mixes well with gourmand or sweet type scents.

My only qualm regarding this lotion is I wish it came in a smaller pot so it would be easy to take with me everywhere. Then I could have a large pot at home and a small pot with me in my purse!

I live in a very dry cold climate and my skin gets crazy itchy after a shower. I slather this cream on, I am not a banana scent fan but the fragrance is subtle enough and the results make it worth living with the smell. My dry itchy Eczema is kept at bay. When ever my skin starts to get itchy in the evening I apply some.

The only body lotion I care to use anymore. It smells amazing, absolutely delectable when it dries, & it makes my skin silky smooth. The only con I can come up with is the tiny black flecks it leaves on your skin (I assume they're banana seeds or parts of the vanilla pod), but they're so few & so minuscule you'd never notice unless you looked for them. I simply refuse to go without it. A must-have for sure!

I first got a sample of this and thought I didn't like it at first from the pot, but it smells absolutely delicious on the skin. It really does smell very much like vanilla banana custard to me. I used the sample super quick and just got a big container of it and I'm really excited to have so much to use! I'm not sure if I'd use it as my primary lotion but it's worth it for the yummy smell.

Love this lotion. Simply put I love the light vanilla banana smell it leaves on your skin and the way it makes your skin oh so soft. I cannot be without this lotion.

Like most Lush products, I find that a little goes a long way with this cream. I generally put it on my legs after I get out of the shower, as they tend to get dry if I don't moisturize them. The smell is very mild, I find, and it goes on really smoothly, sinking in really quickly. The effect lasts all day. This is a great cream!

i use this cream after showering, before bed, and whenever I need/want a little boost for my skin.

It smells wonderful and it gives my vanillary perfume an extra boost, softens my skin, and a little goes a VERY long way, though I still like to over indulge a bit.

I only wish that the smell would last longer and that it moisturized a little deeper.

I had seen this product on the web and was excited because I LOVE banana scents. The nearest Lush is 5 hours away driving but when I went down for a Lush haul, this item was at the top of my list. In the store, I was a bit disappointed because it didn't smell like bananas but I brought it home anyway, and am I ever glad I did!! Outside of the store, it smells very nice, with a light banana scent. It is so refreshing! The smell is wonderful, as is the texture. You need so little that I'm sure it will last a long time.

I love Sympathy for the Skin :) I'm a sucker for anything that smells like bananas. When I first bought it in stores the banana/vanilla smell was very faint in the pot, but when I applied it to my skin the smell was AMAZING! It literally smells like a banana/vanilla custard and I just want to smell my skin for hours! It also lasts ALL day. Even though it lasts all day I still apply it in the afternoon and evening because I love the smell and the texture of it so much :) Not only does it smell great but it makes your skin so soft... even really rough areas like your elbows!
