People who do not like this product obviously do not understand how it is meant to be used. I have very dry feet, especially my heels. I have tried using this product in a couple of different ways, and all have been effective. First, I tried dissolving it in a large bowl and soaking my feet for about 5 minutes, which was amazing - they came out so soft! However, usually I break off a chunk and rub it onto my feet out of the water stream in the shower. It smells absolutely amazing and my feet are so smooth afterwards. I also found that it is EXCELLENT when used to exfoliate my legs before shaving - no irritation or bumps! If you use this product properly and keep it away from water until you're ready to use it, you will love it.

I bought this expecting it to remove the dead skin from my feet. When I used this in the bath, it immediately started fizzing/dissolving like a bath bomb. The fact that it's so crumbly makes it hard to scrub well. I expected this to be more like a pumice stone but it was much too soft and could not remove all the dead skin from my heels.

It did make the tops of my feet feel soft and it does smell nice. But, I wouldn't buy this again because a plain pumice stone works much better.

    Comments about LUSH Stepping Stone:

I picked this up on my last LUSH visit to try on my weary feet. I work a full time retail job, so my feet would be happy for a little TLC. The first thing I noticed was the scent- a lovely lemony-mint blend!

Following the SA's direction, I put this to use post-shower, while my feet were still wet. I quickly noticed it begin to froth and crumble as I rubbed it on my soles. It left my feet very green, and slightly tingly (which was nice). However, once I rinsed my feet off I noticed the dead skin, still intact, and tinged green. So I was a bit disappointed! Since the bar had dissolved about halfway by now, I decided just to crumble it and scrub that way. Worked a bit better, but still lacking.

While the butters in this bar did soften and moisturise my feet, it definitely lacked in the exfoliation category. While this bar is not a substitute for an old-fashioned pumice stone by any means, it might be nice to use after the stone to smooth out/soften your feet- but it is not hard/solid enough on it's own to make any real difference for me.

While I did love the scent of this, I probably would not buy it again. I have had better results with Buffy.

    Comments about LUSH Stepping Stone:

When I had bought this product, I was eager to try it in hopes that the skin on my feet will improve.
I have only used this product once but already feel let down in some ways.
It does soften the skin and is gentle especially if there is someone with skin sensitivities. It smelled amazing, not too strong but enough to give you a zip if you need a little pick me up in the morning.
The downside is that it started to fall apart fast when I was using it against my foot. I ended up breaking a small piece off and let it crumble in my hand while massaging my foot.
While I was massaging the product onto my feet, I realised that it had not only faded in colour but the product it self was used up in such a short time and only left my foot looking slightly green. There was not enough pumice/abrasive material to get off all the dead skin so I ended up having to use a real pumice stone which aggrivates my skin. Maybe if you don't have much feet problems such as I do, this product could be great. I haven't noticed about the odors yet so I'm still holding out on that.

This product smells amazing. I read recommendations on how to use it and though it is hard to break off bits, if you soak your feet in a bath first than just sit on the edge of your tub and rub the whole thing along your feet so a little bit is left all over your feet and really rub that it i find its good exfoloating and the bits that come off i leave just a bit of water in the tub and after scrubbing just let my feet soak a bit longer in the tub.

I have to say, I LOVE THIS. I have used one stepping stone on three separate occasions and have enough for a fourth. It makes my feet smell amazing, and oh so soft. I will agree it is mild at exfoliating and eliminating calluses but for the price, and how good your feet smell, it's well worth it! Definitely will be repurchasing.

I love this, when i read the reviews, a few people mentioned it was messy to use, so i basically just broke a little bit off put it in a plastic bowl poured some water over it (i should have used hot water, but i dont think it makes a difference) i let it dissovle and i just poured some into my hand and rubbed it all over my feet, took a little at a time until i finished the liquid i made and then i washed my feet, i did this all in the tub, so even though i had green liquid all over the tub i could run the water to clean it. i liked it, just gotta find ways to use it wont always be the same for everyone!

This smells INCREDIBLE.. it is so good to use after you've used Volcano foot mask. It smelled so good that I ended up rubbing some around my arms & neck so I could smell that good too.

It works best to break off a chunk, dissolve it in water and massage it into your feet.

This product does soften your feet with cocoa butter but it is NOT hard and will not work as a pumice! Buy this if you want your feet to smell great and to soothe AFTER using a pumice.

        Comments about LUSH Stepping Stone:

This works so well-it is the best foot exfoliator I have ever used. I don't have a shower, so after my bath I let all the water out, sit on the edge of the tub, and break off the smallest piece possible from the bar. I turn on the tap and whisk the piece quickly under the water, then immediately scrub my feet with it as it dissolves. The amazing thing is that even though it doesn't feel rough, or like any scrubbing action is going on, it has the most amazing effect on my feet! They are instantly smoother, and all the rough patches on my heels disappear!

I love the fragrance- it seems like products for the feet always have a minty smell; the lemongrass/ citrusy smell of this is a welcome change-so fresh and invigorating! I usually have my bath right before bed, so after using this I rub the Tiny Hands solid hand cream all over my feet, and they are so soft and smooth in the morning!

          Comments about LUSH Stepping Stone:

I looooove this product! It smells good and it feels like it does a great job for my feet. I use it two different ways:
First, when I want a quicker treatment for my feet, I cut a piece of the Stepping Stone (that way you don't take the chance to waste it all in one use) and rub it on damp (not super wet!) feet. It exfoliates well, and the pieces of cocoa butter soften the skin. I rinse and follow with a heavy-duty moisturizer.

The second way of using SS is by using it like a feet-bath bomb. So, again I cut a piece of it (about 1/5) and drop it in my bath wear my feet are soaking. I like to keep the piece under my feet in the water while it fizzes. That way your skin gets soft and ready for exfoliation (I use Ocean Salt) followed by moisturizer.

I have done this a couple of times in the past month and my feet are in super shape compared to what they are usually. I Highly recommended to tried it, and at this price, you don't risk so much!

            Comments about LUSH Stepping Stone:

I picked up this item at my local Lush store yesterday on a whim, since my feet were feeling a little rough in my flats.

I first must say that I may not have purchased this if I knew what the smell was like. For those who have been in Lush stores and know that the scent of the store itself is pretty overpowering, I will say that the scent of this item in store was relatively unnoticeable. However, when I took it out of the bag at home, I was hit with a REALLY overpowering lemongrass scent - one that I'm not really a fan of. If you too are sensitive to too strong scents or just do not like the smell of lemongrass, do NOT buy this product.

When using this in the shower, I felt that it was fairly easy to use - break off small chunks (I broke off some of the "toes") to take in the shower, and scrub onto your soles, heels, and toes without adding any extra water. It does disintegrate pretty quickly, so I would suggest to start using it on the part of your feet that need the most help, which for me is my heels. It also is a really strong green colour from the dye, which left a slight green tinge on my hands, but was nothing that couldn't be washed away easily. Although my feet felt immediately softer after using Stepping Stone, my feet are still kind of dry now, just a few hours after my shower. Therefore, I would suggest this product as more of a quick fix if you're between pedicures and your feet need some love, or for regular, daily use, to gradually slough off dry skin.

As with any new product, I made sure I understood how to use this. I was told to break off chunks for multiple usage and to keep it out of streaming water.
I decided to use it like my Buffy: shower off, wet feet and scrub. As soon as the Stepping Stone got even a bit of moisture it started to fizz and crumble. I barely had a chance to exfoliate anything. Even when I used the rest of the item, it didn't take off any dead skin and my feet felt kind of dry after. To be honest, Buffy was more exfoliating than this thing.

However, it smells amazing. I'll probably pick another one up and just leave it sitting in a bag in my room

This is one of the best foot products I ever used. It smoothed my heels and made my soles feel amazing. I saw some of the reviews had a problem with it crumbling. Here's the thing, one of the sales associates showed me how to use it. You should break the bar into pieces and add a bit of water to it, it then foams and you massage it into your feet (I also mix it with a bit of Ocean Salt for extra exfoliation). It works great and helps keep feet looking good between pedicures.

Great price too, will definitely be repurchasing in the future. :)

I was expecting ths too be similar in texture to a solid scrub, like a pumice stone with the benefits of nice hydrating essential oils to nourish the foot. While the oils were there and definetely doing their job, the "foot" is itself just crumbled and melt, not doing any exfoliation. It is more, in the end, like a powder. So, if you are looking for something like that, it is a very good choice, but for something that will exfoliate as well, look elsewhere.

Smell was nice for me by the way, very lime-y.

I use this scrub in the bath on my feet. The first time I used it, my hands and feet were pretty wet and the scrub start breaking apart very quick. As long as you dry your hands and feet, this scrub works great. It doesn't feel like it is working but after your out of the tub, you will be amazed at how much softer your feet are (and I have very rough feet). I have used this scrub 1-2 times a week for the past month roughly, and I still have lots left!
