I got this as a gift and never having used a solid shampoo before, I was apprehensive. I have color treated hair and did not notice it fading my color. What I did notice, compared to my expensive salon shampoos, is that it makes my hair more bouncy, curly, and lighter. I love it! Have no opinion on the smell - never even noticed it. Just love lathering it up in my hands and using it (doesn't take a ton to spread around). I'm anxious to try other kinds from Lush as well.

I work at a pool, so I'm in the water everyday. My hair is already very dry as it is, but I decided to try Squeeky Green because it has tea tree oil, which is known for its cleansing and restorative abilities for the hair. I was hoping it would work well enough to get all the chlorine out at the end of the day. Unfortunately, I found it to be too harsh, so much so that it caused a flaky scalp. So I would not recommend it to people with drier hair, only for those who have hair that is especially oily.

The smell is lovely however! So fresh and clean!

I bought this hoping to buy a natural shampoo free of unhealthy chemicals. Squeaky Green seems to do the job right! I used it three times before writing here, in the hopes that this becomes a review that you can trust.

This product was recommended to me by an employee at Lush. She said it will last around 60 uses, which is very good since it cost around $10 (a good price). You use it like soap - just wet the bar and rub it on your hands until the bubbles appear, and then apply the bubbles to your hair.

I LOVE the smell of the shampoo bar! And I haven't noticed an increase in dandruff, even when I've replaced Head & Shoulders with this natural products, so it seems to be working.

I did not notice any increase in shine or any extra nice smell in my hair. Just being realistic. I didn't buy the product in the hopes of getting some new extra benefit from my shampoo, so if you are, you might not find it here. Also had NO issues with bits of the shampoo getting stuck in my hair, so don't worry about that.

If you want a natural shampoo that smells good and is good for you, then Squeaky Clean is it!

I was recommended this product by a Lush employee to help with my dry and itchy scalp and to help clear up the flaking. The flakes are nearly gone and my scalp no longer itches or gets those dry patches and I've only been using this bar every other day for a little over a week. A lot of people have said it was harsh, but I don't find it so, maybe because I have some what oily hair and use a light conditioner(Veganese).

It can be messy because the rosemary and other herbs can come out and get stuck in your hair, but I haven't really noticed that yet. If you think it would be a problem, but still want to try the bar just put it in a nylon. I heard that helps with the mess.

The scent isn't bad, kind of smells like a minty garden, to me anyway. My husband thinks it smells like a hippy.

Overall, I'm happy with this bar and will be repurchasing once mine runs out.

I wanted some solid products for traveling so I decided to buy a Little Green Bag. I wasn't sure about this shampoo at first. I liked the smell, but there were tons of other solids that, scent-wise, I would have originally chosen over this one.

That said... I've discovered that this thing does wonders for flaky scalps. After 3 or 4 uses my scalp was completely cleared up. I don't know if it's because of the specific herbs they use in it, or if it's just because there ARE herbs in it that helps you exfoliate your scalp as you use it, but my scalp has never been this clear in my life.

I don't use this as my everyday shampoo, but I do use it once a week to keep my scalp squeaky green and happy!

When i was on vacation, i bought this product from a nearby LUSH store. and while the people were very friendly the shampoo was not. I came into the store asking about the NEW shampoo, and the person who was helping me explained how it worked and said SQUEAKY GREEN was a gentler version.I didn't like the smell of the NEW (too cinnamon-y)so i went with this one. So that next morning i used the shampoo, it feels invigorating.But within that day i noticed my hair was shedding. My hair never sheds. it was shedding more and more to the point where i was getting clumps in the shower. i thought it was the shampoo. I have not heard of many people having this problem before.So i cut it out of my routine, and its only been two washes. but i really want my hair to go back to normal. No it was not messy, but it did get 'squishy' if i left it in the wet tin.

I purchased this at a local lush store looking for a deep cleansing shampoo. Just like the name says, it did leave your hair very clean, but to the point of dryness, itchiness, and scalp irritation...

I have dry, thick, relaxed and slightly straight hair. I use this when I have oilier locks or just as a deep cleanser once a week. It's great for travel too!

After using this product for a continuous period of time, I have noticed cleaner, healthier hair. An added bonus is that this shampoo smells just like one of my all-time favourite LUSH products: HANDY GURUGU HAND CREAM.

I have encountered many problems with this. Even though my HAIR looked healthier, my SCALP got irritated. It dried out, was itchy and flaked. The herbs in the bar were very packed, but along more uses, it unraveled like confetti and was SO MESSY I HAD TO CLEAN MY SHOWER EVERY TIME. IT EITHER HAD PIECES OF HERBS EVERYWHERE OR THIS WEIRD GREEN LIQUID. IT MADE MY TUB/SHOWER LOOK DISGUSTING.

Overall, I would give this a 4/10. It was expensive, messy, drying, and irritating to my scalp. It did do a very good job at deep cleaning. I recommend this as a once or twice a week deep cleansing shampoo to use with a treatment. Unless you have very oily locks, DO NOT KILL YOURSELF AND USE THIS MORE OFTEN.

I have short, super straight, very thick hair. As a result of it's thickness, I am prone to oily hair and an itchy scalp. I probably use a little more per use than an average user, but one full circle around my head and it gives me more than enough lather to really get down to my scalp and and get it good and clean. I also absolutely LOVE the smell of this shampoo!

There are little bits, they look like pine needles to me, that come off and end up either in my hair or in the tub but they wash away very easily.

I have long thick hair. This bar does not lather well. I usually use another shampoo first and then use this secondl I love the smell and it is gentle and not drying. It works better on my daughter who has thin straight hair.

I LOVE this shampoo!

It has made my dry scalp less flaky and less irritated. This shampoo lathers well and rinses easily, plus the smell is amazing.

Its very inexpensive when compared to other shampoos that run out much faster then "Squeaky Clean" (it lasts for a long time when put on a soap dish to dry!)

This stuff smells so good! It lathers up really well, I have thick coarse hair and this only took 3 swipes to cover my hair completely. My hair is soft (without having to use shampoos with silicone in them), shiny, and feels so good. Even my boyfriend loves how this smells, and he hates most hair products. Received this product in the Little Green Bag, and I would definitely buy it again all by itself. <3

I have wavy, out of control hair. This shampoo didnt do much to improve the texture (define curls or straighten it!). Hoewever, its a very effective clean, lasts for a long time and smells alright. The scent kinda reminded me of baby powder..

I thought I would try this because I love anything pepperminty. It wasn't as minty as my favourite shampoo and wow. It made a total mess of my tub.. I'm used to karma komba and just swiping it over the top of my head normally. Doing that with this would mean rosemary junk got caught in my hair.

It also made my hair feel kind of stringy, but I have thinner, totally untreated hair so I feel perhaps I am not the target audience.

This shampoo smells good and washes well. However it leaves a huge mess. The pine needle things and seaweed like stuff get all over the shower and are in my brush after I comb out my hair. Disappointed as I have liked the other solids I have purchased.

If you've walked by the shampoo bar section of the store you know... It smells... Really strong... I have been a long-time religiously devout salon brand user, with over processed hair, and finally had enough. Enough bottles, enough pumps, enough filling travel containers, enough toxic grey watter production. I'd spotted a couple bars in a friends shower, she has REALLY nice hair, so I gave it a shot. I bought this as part of a set (Little Green Bag) and couldn't have been more surprised by its effectiveness. I wash my hair every second day and aside from it's slightly drying effect (negated by jungle conditioner) I can't tell the difference between it and my *insert hoity toity salon brand here.* If you haven't tried the solid shampoo yet I recommend it highly.

I originally bought this just for traveling since it takes up very little space and can go in my carry-on luggage. I've since made it my at-home shampoo as well since it smells so lovely and leaves my hair so soft.

I love this product. Although I only use it once a week. I find that it can dry out the ends of my hair if I use it too often, but it works wonders on my scalp. Using it once a week means I get to use other products during the week too which is awesome because I also love variety. Thanks LUSH!

I tried this product because I was looking for something I could bring in my carry on when I travel. This particular product should be labeled "Not for use on color treated hair". I have professionally colored copper hair and it took the color a shade lighter on the first shampoo and even lighter on the second try.



Surprisingly, even though the shampoo stripped the color and oil from my hair, it didn't stay clean any longer than usual. Hopefully I can find another Lush solid shampoo that lets me keep the color. It certainly is a great concept and it's really fun to use.



It's worth noting that this makes a mess in your tub .. like little flakes of parsley or something.

I received this product as a gift. My hair would always get greasy and oily if I went a day without washing it- little did I know that the commercial shampoos, though costly, were stripping my hair of its natural oils and so it kicked my scalp into overdrive to produce more, creating a nasty cycle.



This fantastic little bar broke that cycle! I now shampoo every second or third day, and my hair has never looked better. I am already envisioning bringing this along in a little tin when I go camping this summer, having everything I need to keep my hair looking and feeling great. Do not be fooled by its low price; as someone who bought expensive shampoos from salons, I can vouch that this lil' bar is leaps and bounds above them for treating your hair and scalp right.

I have been teaching swimming lessons for years now and have tried every cleansing shampoo out there. This is the first and only one I have used (uncluding those expensive specialty shampoos) that has done the trick! After using Squeeky Green my hair is chlorine free and fully of body and shine! Love it!
