Darn, I was so excited about this when it came in the mail today.
Even when I opened the bottle it smelt really good. The coffee and chocolate and lime juice all intertwined just begging to be brought into the shower!

As I ran the loofah across my chest I suddenly got overwhelmed with what smelt like stale cigarette or.. wet cigarette ash. Which.. really does not smell too pleasant.

Very good lather but... I don't see this being used too often. Just glad I bought the tiny bottle.

Love, love, looooove this product! The scent is amazing--not too sweet or strong, perfectly balanced even after wearing it for the day. Wish this one wasn't a limited edition retro product, or it'd be something I'd come back for month after month.

What could be better than chocolate & coffee? That's what I was thinking when I bought this. But I didn't like the smell. It smelled like cigars or pipe tobacco. It lathered nice, however I won't be buying this one again.

This is one of my fav LUSH products! It smells phenomenal! I love the coffee and lime scents and it really wakes you up in the morning or when you feel tired. Again (as I find I say in all my reviews) I find it pricey but a little goes a long way. I bought a smaller bottle and it lasted 3 months with daily use.

It smells more like the chocolate oranges that you have to whack to break into pieces (you know the ones!) than it smells like coffee. But regardless, it smells AMAZING! I bought the smaller bottle, but now I'm going to buy the big one. :)

I purchased this with the intent that my boyfriend would find the name amusing. I'm not a big fan of sweet smells, but I have to admit that this is much more complex than just a chocolate coffee shower gel. I can definitely smell the lime juice and other notes in the product. My boyfriend isn't a big fan of sweet-smelling scents either, but this product really captured his attention. Whenever he perspires after using this product, he would muse about how much he smells like chocolate. Thanks Lush for making my hunny yummier! *gag* :P

Sonic Death Monkey... Wow. Well, first of all, amazing name. Amazing scent, and will definitely give you a kick-start in the morning, when you're half asleep in the shower. The only problems that I have with this product is the poor lather; unless you use a lot of it, you don't really get anything amazing in terms of the lather. The other problem I have with this is that I wish it was a little thicker; whenever you squirt some into your hand, it's almost the consistency of water! However, this has lasted me a long time--- I'm not even done my first bottle, but I've had it for months now, and the bottle isn't done yet. I just wish this wasn't in Retro Lush, because now I can't just get the shower gel by swinging by the nearby Lush store. Overall, though, a pretty good product!

I am a sucker for things strange and wonderful. This is certainly both! It reminds me of the first day I ever smelled aromatic pipe tobacco. The finish of lime is incredible and unexpected after the chocolate tobacco scent. Congratulations LUSH creators - a pure work of art in a bottle. *monkey kisses*

I bought this mainly because I loved the name and wanted to try something new. I smelled ok in the bottle but in the shower it was completely overwhelming. I was hoping for a light chocolate scent to be left behind on my skin but I didn't notice any. The consistency was a little weird and didn't lather well.

I was expecting this to smell like The Wuss bubble bar, but instead it smells like a Terry's chocolate orange. At any rate, it smells great and works well as a shampoo. Too bad it's being discontinued.

Ok so I was have always been hesitant of trying this shower gel even though I love chocolate,but I got a free sample of it and wow.I really love the scent and my skin felt so softe when I got out of the shower.I wissh I had tried it sooner but now it is definately a Lush favourate.

I love this Shower Gel, it smells very unique (in a good way) But beware! if you are going to use as a shampoo, don't get any in your eyes!! It stings like crazy!!

This is my favourite Lush product! My boyfriend doesn't usually like scented products but loves this one. It lathers well in the shower...and a little goes a long way! I love anything with hemp in it because it's very moisturizing for dry skin. And the chocolate scent is great.

I wish I'd showered with this instead of just trying it on my hands before I'd reviewed it initially. I was so excited to get it, I didn't figure it would make a difference. It did. The smell in the bottle is nice. The smell while using it is that of an old man who has smoked a pipe for years while eating a Terry's Chocolate Orange. The tobacco stink is nasty.

How could anyone go wrong buying a product with such a unique, funky name?! I love chocolate products, and this is one if the best; a rich, cleansing lather that smelled of chocolate and ONLY chocolate, not orange as some products tend to do.
