This shampoo is my best friend.
I have eczema on my scalp. I used pharmaceutical products on it when I was younger, but discovered that Head & Shoulders was the only and best thing (at the time) to help my scalp.
I decided to hunt for something new because I've heard so many bad things about H&S like that is uses chemicals (which I'm trying to get off of as much as possible), cancer causing agents, and leaves build-up in my hair making it unable to lather and my hair would get greasy fast.
Anyway, product after product left me wanting to bang my head against the wall. Then I tried this, and it is THE BEST SHAMPOO I HAVE EVER USED. My eczema is completely gone. My scalp is healthy. There is no build-up and my hair lathers, it just does every thing I need it to! :)
The only con is that the smell is less than pleasant (like a campfire) but luckily I like the smell of campfires and find that Lush conditioners mask the smell pretty well (but not completely) and I use Veganese with it as it's light and I like the scent combo.

Its easy to use.It really works ,I was so fed up with all the dandruff shampoos..it never cleared my scalp,so I went to Lush hoping to find something natural and healthy and I am so happy I did. It works well with long or short hair...my husband loves it too. The smell grows on you, once the hair dries out the smell is gone.I also used it on my 3 year old... its that good and safe.

Bye bye dry scalp. The real pro here is that the product does what it is designed and created for. My scalp is not dry or itchy and my hair is not oily. The added bonus is the smell. If you like earthy unconventional scents and you or your significant other likes to sip on scotch then watch out! You are about to become irresistible.

I used this shampoo almost every day-- not out of choice but because my hair would get greasy so fast after using this product. I like that it lathers well but as I know that is from a sulphate, which doesn't seem to go well with my hair, it isn't really a good point. I am a big fan of LUSH, but it seems this product didn't suit me as well as I hoped it would. My hair would squeak in the shower because it was so dry, and although it did rid me of most of my dandruff, it gave me dry scalp instead. It may work for many other people but I found that for me, this shampoo was too harsh.

When I read that soak and float is best for dandruff, I was excited to try it. I wasn't disappointed, I was really amazed by how fast it worked in eliminating the scalp itchiness and flakes were gone in just one use! I have tried a lot of dandruff controlling shampoos but nothing gave me solution to my scalp problem. The reviews about this product are all true. Need to say more? Try it and you will not regret it. I have extremely dry scalp - scabby, itchy, flaky, just plain gross - and have used expensive medicated shampoos that have barely reduced the issue. I got a sample of soak and float when I purchased scalp treatment Hair Doctor and used the two in conjunction and my scalp already feels totally clean and flake-free. The smell really is awful and I was shocked with how something that smells so harsh and feels so coarse can lather so nicely with just a tiny amount, even in my thick long hair.
I would recommend using this product with Hair Doctor, which isn't available online but can be found in store in the face mask section if you want to reduce dry scalp quick. The only reason it's not getting 5 stars is because it was very harsh on my hair color, so those with colored hair, beware! I literally watched my hair dye go down the drain as I washed out soak and float.

I have tried various dandruff shampoos over the years (all of them are terrible). I got introduced to this when when looking for hair doctor(a lush wonderful scalp treatment for dry scalps) and thought i would give it a shot. I didnt know when i bought it that it smells like campfire! but i dont mind it at all. after i condition my hair and put in my products, you can only smell it on my hair if your face is burried in my curls (which is pretty weird to begin with...) and it works! my scalp no longer troublesome when i use it! and i definetly notice a different when i go back to old shampoo on weekend trips when i dont bring it. this product is amazing! i use it daily! such a good price too! [$]$ and it lasts for awhile! i bought my in march? i think and its now june and i still got lots left!

When I had a whiff of this herby-campfire-smokey-bacon shampoo bar in store immediately I was excited to try it. I don't have dandruff so my reason for buying it was purely because of the smell, I think it's strange not more people love it because when I showed some guy friends they went nuts for it but I guess it's not an expected LUSH scent.
The condition it leaves my normal wavy hair is awesome! I don't use conditioner and I find this is a good 2 in 1. I just add some Rub Rub Rub for volume!
Buy it for your boyfriend or husband you will both love it!

I bought this for my husband who has pretty bad dandruff. It has definitely treated the flakes very effectively.
I see a lot of the other reviews mention the bad smell. It is intense, kind of smokey like the way you smell after you've sat by a camp fire. My guy happens to absolutely love that. I love the condition of his hair, it's never looked better.

WOW!!!!! This is the best product. I have scalp psoriasis with terrible huge flakes. My scalp scalp was almost totally red, sore, itchy, weepy... just nasty. Nothing helped.. UNTIL soak n' float. I've been using it for 6 weeks now and I could cry over the results. Within the first 4 weeks the redness and weeping was gone... the tight itchy scalp went away after a month... and now 6 weeks after using this products.. my flakes are almost gone. Please give this product a try.. and stick with it... for me, it didn't work over night but I am so happy I didn't give up. It lathers great, smells awful (haha) but the smell doesn't linger on your scalp, it also leaves your hair with a wonderful shine. Thank you Lush.. I can finally wear black again!!!

I love this product. I just started using it a few days ago and it's already helped get rid of my dandruff. Although it smells really smokey, I'd take the smokey smell over the chemical smell of some of the other dandruff shampoos out there. And in the end it works, and that's all that matters to me.

I cant believe no one ever told me about this product and store! I am now addicted, and cant wait to wash my hair :) I used to have to worry ALL the time about embarrassing flakes on my shoulders, but now just after a week of using this product my hair feels great and I have confidence that there is no more 'snow' on my shoulders.

My very first Lush experience was awesome. I was kind of nervous to go in the store and have to tell them that I have a very flaky scalp. But the sales girls were so helpful and knowledgeable, and I because of this I was totally at ease, and didn't feel judged or awkward at all. And to top it off they gave me a few samples.

I love the product, it will be part of my regular routine from now on! Thanks Lush :D

So I decided to get this because I have cradle cap which is a severe form of dandruff. WORST IDEA EVER, not only does this shampoo smell unbelievably gross but it disintegrated and fell to mush. It did absolutely nothing for my hair except make it greasy and disgusting. My husband took one smell of my hair and said it smelled like month old over cooked hot dogs.

I will never recommend this to anyone.

I've been using this product for a few weeks and am quite disappointed with it. Although I love the campfire smell, and it also lathers really well, all this shampoo did for my thick asian hair/scalp was make my dandruff flakes smaller and more fine. I talked to the guy at the store and he says it's most effective for him using it everyday and maybe thats my problem since I use it every other.

Well, my love for lush will take me to the snake oil instead.

Tried this one to try and combat my aweful dandruff and ended up letting it dry out and stashed it in a tin due to the smell which overwhelmed my bathroom.



Works well if combined with snake-oil and the smell does go away after a couple of uses but I only use this one every now and again to combat a flare-up.

Wow! This shampoo is the best. I have tried a lot of shampoos to get rid of dandruff and the Soak and Float is the only one that works for me. The smell might not be your thing, but it doesn't linger. This product makes my hair shinny, light and so clean... Love it_ I use it with Jungle and R&B and it's a perfect world!

As a dandruff sufferer, it's hard to find a shampoo that really works and is actually halfway good for your hair. A friend recommended trying Lush solid shampoos, and as an avid Lush user, I decided to try it.



If you're concerned about picking the best one for your hair - ASK AN ASSOCIATE. Almost all Lush staff are super friendly, and they know what they're talking about. The woman helping me helped me figure out which shampoo bar to buy for my hair, and taught me how to use it in the store.



Granted - It doesn't have the most appealing smell. My boyfriend has complained that it doesn't smell as nice as when I was using other shampoos, but he also touches my hair more, and comments on how much nicer it feels.



Will I use this particular shampoo bar for the rest of my life? Probably not, but if you've got a problem scalp, this will DEFINITELY help. Just don't expect something that smells like your garden.
