I've always by-passed this product in the store, despite being a huge lover of all things glittery. Finally, I decided to purchase it online. It just arrived several hours ago and I immediately applied it to my legs. It rubbed in nicely and left the prettiest layer of glitter! The only con [which isn't even a big issue] is that the sparkles are iridescent, and show up big-time on my dark skintone. I don't mind at all as I love sparkles, but this makes it a little more 'costumey' than subtle in my opinion =)

It's a great moisturizer, too, and doesn't rub off! Several hours later and my legs still feel soft and moisturized.

It doesn't melt as easily as soft coeur, or other massage bars. Instead of rubbing it on my skin hoping it'll melt, I took my cousin's suggestion and blasted it with my hair dryer to melt it a bit before rubbing it on.

Holy batman, I'm sparkling! The fine shimmer is evenly and heavily dispersed throughout the bar, and when you rub shimmy shimmy on, you will be visibly shimmery. This was nice for my semi formal dance - having shimmery shoulders and legs - but not subtle enough for everyday use. When I use this on a regular day I try to brush off as much of the glitter off as I can.

The smell is heavenly though - unique, vanilla and something else lovely. I put this on my wrists and all day I was in a daze.

All in all, it's inconvenient to use, the glitter is too much for every day, but the smell is amazing. I would LOVE a shimmy shimmy without glitter, but I would only recommend this one if you want shimmer.

This product is 70% delicious vanilla, white-chocolate smelling, moisturizing massage bar. The other 30% is glitter. I'm a young teenager, and so I obviously, I love the glitter!

However, that is not the only thing that attracts me to this product. This smells absolutely amazing! The vanilla scent is not too sweet or strong. However you definitely would not wear perfume with this, as the subtle vanilla scent lingers softly on your skin, along with the golden-pink sparkles.

This massage bar is also very moisturizing. A couple of swipes here and there along your body are all you really need. It leaves you skin soft and touchable, without a greasy or oily feeling.

The only thing is that this massage bar is a little more hard than the others. it does not melt quite so easily in your hands. What I like to do after I shower, and want to use this product, is I warm it up a little bit with my blowdryer on the lower heat setting. Be careful not to hold the blowdryer too close to the product, or the surface will easily melt into a liquid form. I keep the heat about a foot away, and only for about 10-20 seconds, depending on how much I plan to use.

This product is my second product from LUSH. And I m truly a sparkle person. It doesn't melt as much as the other massage bars with is a good thing for me , because I don't really want this to melt or else ill be overloaded with sparkles all over me! It has a soft touch , only slight scratchy on skin and the smell is relaxing and subtle not too strong or fake.And I am the kind of person where everything smells like play-dough to me. The price is considerably O.K. It leaves skin sparkly and it will make you stand out of the crowd. It eaves my skin soft but not too oily and it is not sticky or wet either. I definitely recommend this product. The Shimmy Shimmy smells very creamy but not gross. Very light. And it does not leave a draggy-feeling on my skin. Also it is great that my sensitive skin likes this product cause I LOVE IT.My skin is not itchy but sweet-smelling! <3 This product will last very long. It can be worn to school just gently rub it over your skin so you do not OVER-SPARKLE. It is also ideal to wear this at a party or gathering.

*Comment on others : Why did you even buy this if you hate sparkles? If you are interested in this product I recommend that you are a SPARKLE FANATIC. Because the charm of this product is the fact it has sparkles. So don't complain. And I understand it was your opinion and I'm fine with it. But I do not want others to be mislead.

I love this bar! It's very moisturising and smells exactly like my American Cream conditioner! The sparkles are fun but it's kinda awkward coming to school all sparkley... I wish they made another version of this bar without sparkles for everyday use (:

So, this product is not for me. It came in a gift set and I thought I'd give it a go, but I just don't have much use for glitter on a daily basis.



However! That doesn't make this an inherently bad product! If you're looking for something to give you a little shimmer before hitting the town or heading to a party, this is perfect.



Don't apply it directly to your skin - the glitter may irritate, and it won't spread evenly. Instead, rub this between your palms (for a short time/gently if you only want a little shimmer, or for a long time/vigorously if you want a lot), and then massage onto whatever body part(s) you want to shine! If you're only applying to small area, rub just one finger on the bar and then use that finger to apply.



Be warned that using this means you're probably going to find it all around your living space for ages to come, so bear in mind how your housemates might feel about finding glitter all over THEIR things too. :)

I lovee this bar! It is super sparkly and super moisturizing. I read some reviews that said the glitter doesnt stick, but they are probobly using the bar incorrectly. Before rubbing it on your skin, you melt it a little in your hands to make it warm and creamy! The glitter stays on really well. When you you touch things it doesnt come off, and it doesnt come off when you rub it either, but thats okay with me cause I lovvvveee glitter :) I this the smell is sweet, and perfect for a sparkly bar. Not for people who dislike sparkles :) <33

I got this as a gift for christmas, and until i looked it up here, i didnt know it was a massage bar. (insert embarrassment here). I used it in the shower before going to a dance, so the light would catch it. People definitely noticed. I have really sensitive skin, but using it in the shower, it didnt bug my skin at all. My friends loved it too. Will buy again.

This product looks really cute just sitting on my shelf :)

I love the smell of this; subtle vanilla and cocoa butter with a hint of sage to tone down the sweetness.

It goes on weirdly; not quite rough but not smooth either. I rub a straight line down my arm and rub it in.

It's moisturizing and gives you a great shimmer, so long as you don't use too much!!!

Wayy wayy wayy to sparkly love the smell but hate the glitter, I got this as a gift i will not recomend this product *tip* if theres too many sparkles then u take sugar and soap and lather ur hadns together and wash ur hands a WOOOHOOO the sparkles are gone

I totally hate this massage bar for only one reason: the sparkles. They are all over my bed. Plus, it makes the product a bit scratchy.

I got this product for a pre prom glow without to much sparkle or pezzaz but i feel in love! it feels amazing on your skin! it doesn't melt to much when you touch it so it last longer ( i think the sparkles help it not melt as fast) its perfect for the summer days of shorts and tanks for a nice glowy look anyday or when your skins looking a little dull! and also perfect for those winter occaisions when you need to spice up you skin alittle! i find it goes on best right after the shower just make shower you skins completly dry! and rub it with your hand after so the sprakles don't clump in one spot but it is perfect for all occaisions and you smell amazing for hours! the smell lasted me all prom nigh and even lasted after i went swimming! its an awesome product i think everyone should have one!

This is more of a novelty than a "real" massage bar. The sparkles make the bar quite abrasive on the skin. However, the scent is nice (similar to American Cream) and using the bar before a night on the town might be fun.

This one smells like Flosty Gritter, I used it for the first time on my birthday and wow is it ever sparkly! Like the other reviewer I apply it directly to my skin, otherwise the sparkles just stick to my palms, which was ok too, I justed smoothed them into my hair and it kept it from getting staticy. I got this one with the Christmas specials when I got the Twinkle gift for [$]. I will definately buy this one again, though it seems like it will last a very long time.

I usually use this product after I shower and exfoliate because it goes on smoother and adds that bit of extra moisture to your skin. I love the sparkle it gives your skin plus the scent is great! I always feel like such a princess when I use Shimmy Shimmy.

It does however, rub off on your clothing so I would suggest wearing it on the parts of your body that your outfit won't cover for the night. Other than that, it is a great product and gives you a natural shimmer everytime =)

.... could really do without the glitter, or at least a little less of it;) To me this smells like almonds, I don't smell the lavender in this at all, but I adore the scent of this, it seems to last a long time and moisturizes wonderfully! However like a previous reviewer suggested, a glitter-free version of this with the same scent would be great, for those of us who prefer not to show up for work looking like a 14-year-old figure skater. I just didn't know there would be quite *that many* sparkles in this LOL On the smell alone this would rate 5 stars, but the excessive glitter makes me take one off.
