I have been straightening my hair for about 7 years, every day at least once a day or more. Bottom line, this product aided in repairing my hair! A bit pricey because my hair is long and I use a lot, but definitely worth it!

I am torn. Here is what. I bought this to use with the Cinnamon and Clove Shampoo that DOES dry your hair out. I read alot of reviews on it so I thought--I will buy their most Lush conditioner to pair with the really drying Cinnamon and Clove Shampoo. Initially, I was impressed. My scalp felt so moisturized. Moisture that I had never felt before. However, when it make to combing out of tangled locks from the C&C Shampoo--it was so hard. I had to use alot ,more of the conditioner than I wanted too just to untangle it. I didn't want to use any other conditioner because I wanted to see what it would look and feel like on its own. I feel like that initial moisture that I felt in the shower did not translate after I washed it out. Maybe the second time I use it I will leave it in and wash it out in the morning and see how my hair feels with it in over night--who knows, maybe it is better used as a hair mask. I would like that initial feathery light and moisturized feeling to last well after I have finished washing my hair.

In addition. The smell was, 'lack-lusher' lol
For a Lush product I was expecting--something that smelt amazing! Like the REST of the products they offer. This just smelt like, Yogurt lol Plain Yogurt....not bad..but not memorable, and not desired or craved for...

For something that was marketed as the, "Richest Conditioner" they offer I was expecting, RICH, I mean, I was expecting that no matter how tangled my hair was--I could put this in and just have a fine-toothed comb GLIDE through it. I used my fingers and the WIDEST toothed comb I had. And again, for a LUSH product--the smell should have been nothing less than spectacular like the rest of their products. Ideally, when I wash my hair, I want it to smell so good that you want to EAT IT! For several hours and days after! lol

I wanted to try this so bad after considering the purchase online for ages. So the next time I was at the store (8hours away) I picked up a sample. I have long thin wavy / curly hair and this left my hair dry and tangled. I used a fair amount (the entire small sample container once I saw that small amounts made no difference ) .

This defines my waves so beautifully and the scent.. is to die for!!!

After my shower I finish off with some R&B and I am good to go!

I've tried several Lush conditioners and I have to say Retread is like the voodoo magic of them all. I have coarse, thick, wavy, long, basically impossible to manage Asian hair and I have been looking for something to improve the texture of it for a long time. Retread is my answer to that problem. Not only did my hair become unbelievably soft (as soft as my thick strands will get without chemicals all over it), it's also helped it lay down flat and stop being so static shock prong. I personally really dislike the smell, but even then I use it every time I wash my hair because it just works so well! A definite life saver.

I started using retread because I didn't like the runny texture of American Cream (I went through a medium bottle in like two weeks...). It seems like a lot of reviewers don't like the smell but it smells pretty good to me, kind of creamy and slightly sweet. I actually liked catching a whiff of it in my hair later in the day, it's smell lingers less than American Cream though. I have dry hair that's been overprocessed but sometimes still gets pretty oil because it's fine. I find the combination of a more clarifying shampoo like seanik helps balance my hair and lets me go at least an extra day without washing (I usually wash only the roots on the second day but now I don't even have to do that). I do find it hard to get a brush through my wet hair after getting out of the shower but I find it's not at all tangly once it's dry, which is kind of a trend i've seen with lush conditioners in general since their not loaded with silicone like drugstore brands. So if you're willing to let your hair air dry before brushing I don't think you'll have any problems with tangles. Basically: smells pretty good, really great consistency, can be balancing for greasy/dry hair (what I call the "grease-wig"), moisturizing.

I love this stuff! I bought it after my beau complained about the smell of American Dream (which I enjoy). I love this one even more. It has a light, earthy, vanilla kind of scent. It's very fresh.
I have VERY thick hair down to the middle of my back and I did my whole head with only a quarter sized dollop! If you use more you're using it wrong. Once it meets your hair it spread easily and it's not hard to work it in.
I put it on my ends first, then washed my face and then I put a tiny bit more over the rest of my head and then rinsed it all out.
I used it with Curly Wurly shampoo and I can NOT stop smelling my own hair. I must look crazy.
My hair feels great, and it's super shiny and not in the least frizzy. Most importantly to me, my scalp feels soooo clean! Too often you find conditioners for thick, frizzy hair that leave build up, not this one! YAY!

This product does not condition my hair whatsoever. I have long, not thick but definitely not thin hair, and I have to use handfuls and handfuls of this and it's still not effective! I've tried using a little bit of it, and have gradually increased how much I'm using at one time thinking maybe I'm not using enough. That's not the case, it just does nothing for my hair except makes it UNmanageable. I tried to love this product but can't even say I like it, sadly. I can't say one good thing about this product.

I found this conditioner did leave my hair softer, smoother and shiny, however the scent it just terrible. One of the main ingredients is agar gel, which has sort of a barn-yard, white pepper thing going on, reminds me of biology labs. I've only recently started ordering Lush products and I've loved everything so far except this product, which is a bummer because I normally would not spend nearly $30 on conditioner. I'll keep using it but maybe skip a day in between uses to avoid the stink.

My hair is wavy, long and tangles very easily! It does better than other LUSH conditioners on the detangling side but I have to use alot if it and for the price, i'm not sure it's worth it. It does leave my hair softer and more managebale then other products. But the smell....it kinda reminds my of my friends' farm house, a kinda earthy-hay smell. I don't hate it but would rather not have by hair smell like a barn. And of course, I still cannot believe for all their frsh ingredients, LUSH still uses PARABENS!!!

I suffer from damaged hair, severely damaged hair. So when the woman at Lush recommended this I was sold! I was told that it wold work amazingly and my hair would be touchably smooth. Sad to say it didn't work as well as I thought. When I first used it I loved the smell but when I washed the conditioner out afterwards my hair felt knotted and rough, like straw. I couldn't even get my fingers to go through. By the time it dried I did notice it was a little softer, and the smell lasted all day long! It might be a matter of my hair getting used to the product, because after each use it feels maybe like it's a little softer and easier to maintain. It's hard to say, I don't think I'll be buying this again. But maybe my mind will change once I'm done the tub. I'm bummed because this is the first product I have ever been skeptical about or willing to return. :(

Problem (a deal breaker at that): PARABENS.
I'm going to finish the pot I bought, but I'm not going to buy it again for this reason.

i bought this product at the suggestion of the sales person. I have very tight, curly hair and wanted to try something different. I'm underwhelmed. It smells baaaad and i feel like im ripping my hair out when i try and comb it through. the moisturizing qualities are O.K but i've definitely had better. maybe this stuff would work better on someone with less curly hair - not for me though!

I bought Retread when a salesperson the the Lush store suggested it for for my dry roots. When I opened it up, the first thing I noticed was the really weird smell, not unlike cigarette ashes. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much, but after trying it out, it is my new favourite Lush product! It doesn't smell bad at all once rinsed out, and my hair has never looked or felt this nice! I can't stop running my hands though my hair. A+

This product smells exactly like a dirty barn. I put it on my hair and all I can picture are cows and horses and goats going to the bathroom. And dirty hay. I've tried it with a couple different shampoos and I just can not get over the smell. I usually love everything Lush but this one is sitting on my shelf gathering dust.



Giving it two stars because it might work well, not really sure though because I was too distracted by the smell to notice.

I bought this product on the recommendation of a Lush employee after I had fried my hair. The product worked amazingly, it saved my hair and restored it back to what it was like before I had fried it. It was easy to apply, however it did have a strong smell that I did not care for. Overall I would recommend this to anyone who has damaged hair.

OMG, OMG, OMG!!! The best conditioner ever. This product with Rehab and R&B have changed my hair health. I love everything about this product: It smells amazing, detangles your hair like magic, deep conditions them, makes them soft and shinny like nothing else in this world. I just can't say enough about this... It's just amazing the results that you get from Retread.

I will never be without this one___
