This shampoo is fantastic! I have fine hair and mixed skin (between dry and oily) and it works perfectly! As i have a mixed scalp, i need a shampoo that both cleans really well, but doesn't dry out my scalp or hair. My hair is loving it comboed with Retread at the moment, it's refusing anything else. This is probably my favourite lush smell as well... I kind of want to drink it (not that I would recommend doing that, despite the title of my post).

From reading other reviews I'm noticing a trend of people either loving or hating it and I think I know why:
People with thicker, oily hair - this guy is for you. It will take the oil off, without killing your hair. Of course everyone's hair is still an individual, but from what I hear from people, this is probably the best shampoo for you. You will however need to use more then people with finer hair to get that epic lather you crave - but it does work!
I can't speak for people with curly hair - it will work for some, but not others, I'm sorry (and I'm jealous of your curls so please don't hate your hair for this).
People with thinner, dryer hair - keep reading. This is NOT a shampoo to lather in, make a faux-hawk and sing the entirety of 'I've got a pocket full of sunshine'. If you leave it in too long, YES it will dry out your hair and scalp. I did it once (leave it in too long, not the singing) and yes, my hair was a little dry after so I put a leave in conditioner that day. In general though, this shouldn't be that much of a problem unless you really leave it for a while.

First off, shake that bottle!! If it's not mixed, it won't lather as well. Take the needed amount, scrub it in well to your hair and scalp and wash it away fairly quickly. How long you have to leave it in before it will start to dry you out - I cannot say, we are all individuals, but common sense tells us this product contains real fruits like pineapple. Hence, they have some acidity and enzymes (which is why it cleans oil away well) but can also take too much needed oil off. The oils in the shampoo do repair hair well, but not if you soak it in the juice forever.
If you are noticing you are washing quickly but it still is drying you out - try using it every other day first before giving up on it completely. Finer to medium hair typically doesn't want washing everyday anyway. :)

Follow it up with Retread/American Cream and leave that in for a minute or 2 - cue your pop-star fantasy moment. Rinse out and conquer the day!

I was first recommended this product about a year ago when in the store. My hair was in bad shape, split ends, frizzy and thin, I was desperate to revive my hair.
After the first use, I noticed the shine and life was back in my hair. The frizziness was gone and you couldn't notice the damage like you used to. This product doesn't remove damage, that's what a hair cut does but, it makes it less noticeable and helps give health to your hair.
A definite staple in my shower.

I have thick,coily hair with mostly fine to medium strands (4b/c if you use that system).

I loved how this shampoo made my scalp feel (refreshed and tingly) and it smelled so wonderful. The ammonium lauryl sulfate does its job as a surfactant and DID NOT leave any softness in my hair ..."deep clease" is right!

It's a good product, I would just caution those with coily, thick hair to use this shampoo to clarify or if you need to really cleanse and treat your scalp NOT as a moisturizing shampoo. Just follow this up with a deep conditioner, leave in, oils and it's fine.

Ok, let me give you an honest review. After reading some reviews here, some people really over exaggerate and underestimate this shampoo. For many years, I have used shampoos with silicone that made my hair look fabulous, soft and shiny along with those expensive brand name conditioners. My crazy problem; I have blonde (dyed; but not toned or bleached) hair that is naturally very long (up to my bum). My hair would get so oily the next morning and my ends were dry from constant blow drying and straightening. My hair is naturally pin-straight and fine but I have a lot of it, so that means its extremely heavy. I also have healthy, moderate hair, so it does get dry but never like straw.

So this product resolved all my problems -
first: When showering, I only apply a quarter size of shampoo to the front, back and middle of my head. it lathers OK, if you have very oily hair that day USE A LITTLE MORE..
second: wow does this ever take the oil out AND makes your hair DRY. yes my hair felt like straw after. very gross and I was so disappointed (remember to ONLY apply this shampoo to the top of the head)
third: use a CONDITIONER!!!! apply to the bottom only, maybe even a LITTLE to the top for comb throughs. I use HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY; after pairing it with a conditioner, hair feels great.
fourth: the smell is kind of gross. the shampoo smells like olive oil and citrus put together. its weird but it doesn't linger for long. i'm over the smell.

Results:
After washing my hair with shampoo, felt like garbage and straw, but it was SO CLEAN. yes you MUST use a conditioner if you have dry hair to begin with. also I use my own leave in conditioner on towel-dry hair to help with combing. Ok, so my hair got more knotty after, but the leave in conditioner helped me with that. After fully blowdrying my hair my hair WAS AMAZING. It was so soft, yet so CLEAN!! Also, my blonde was enhanced and it actually SHINED. After straightening it, it looked even better

This shampoo really restores your hair after so much damage. I naturally have good hair but this makes it even better. NO more split ends, enhances texture, feel and colour (natural or dye) of the hair and adds tons of shine. THIS IS GREAT FOR HEAVY HAIR. my long hair was FULL of volume. The shampoo is pretty harsh, probably not good for sensitive skin or for hair tones that are so very dry to begin with. but the point is to CLEAN and RESTORE. I now wash my hair every other day or even every other 2 days. Makes your hair feel so nice and fluffy, something you don't get with long heavy hair. this shampoo gives you the same results as an expensive brand name, without weighing it down.

I won't give it a full 5 stars because I don't think its suitable for everyone (hence the dryness it can make) and because of the weird/nasty smell to me

Believe me, I'm a huge critic of hair. I love my hair.

Rehab has saved my dry, wavy, frizzy, and color-treated hair (I have lots of grey hair, so I have to touch up my grey hair every 2-3 weeks). I have been using Rehab for over a year now. My hair texture has changed significantly. I have been receiving so many compliments on my hair because it looks so healthy. I used to have to blow dry, and straighten my hair daily so that it would look some what decent, but ever since I have started using the Lush hair products, my hair is so soft that it allows me to embrace my natural wave. I towel dry my hair and rub a tiny amount of R&B on the ends and let it air dry. I absolutely love this product and have been recommending Rehab to all of my girlfriends who have frizzy, unmanageable hair.

I was really skeptical about using this shampoo at first as it was one of the first LUSH products I'd ever used. I don't know what I was thinking because now I can't imagine my life without it. Rehab is absolutely incredible.

With the shampoos I was using before, I used to have to wash my hair daily or it would get seriously oily and unbearable as I have combination hair that seems to get both extreme ends of the spectrum. I get oily roots and dry ends. I've been using Rehab for the past three weeks and I almost feel like I don't even need to wash my hair on the second day, it's THAT good.

I use Rehab with American Cream and I find them to be an amazing combination. For combination hair, I would seriously recommend this product.

This shampoo smells amazing. Seriously. I love peppermint and I love citrus-y smells...Together? It's absolute shower heaven.

However, I haven't found it's made my hair look better. I have thin hair, that often looks frizzy. When used alone, my hair is frizzy and looks a little dry. But with a light conditioner, my hair looks smoother.

I love this product. I am someone who colours their hair every couple of months. I recently came out of the hospital after having brain surgery and unfortunately my hair took a beating. I had unwanted dreds and my hair was falling out. It was dry and dead and was in dire need of some help. I had my hair cut by my hair dresser however it still needed something. It was full of product, the scalp was flaky with the worst dandruff in years and didn't matter what I used, nothing helped.
I have been using other hair products for a long time. I stick with what works so I don't change often. I decided to give REHAB a try. It was GREAT! My hair felt clean and my scalp was tingly clean. It felt great!
Only reason I give it four stars is because it left my hair feeling good, but dry. I have this issue with most shampoos and I need to use conditioner to make it better. However, the first time I used Rehab, I only used a little product afterwards and my hair was curly, wavy and great! My suggestion is to use a conditioner with the shampoo. It has a tendency to dry the hair out.

However the clean and fresh feeling is wonderful. I don't feel like I have mounds of product in my hair after using it. It has really helped since getting out of the hospital. And being full of natural products, I don't worry about it being near my stitched and healed wound area.

When I got a sample for the I Love Juicy shampoo, I absolutely loved the smell but was heartbroken when it damaged my hair even more after using it. Ends were breaking off and my shirt was covered in the broken off pieces of hair. So I went to my local LUSH and talked to a girl who worked there, explaining my problem. She recommended I try Rehab instead, because my hair is very processed from bleaching it and dyeing it, blow drying and straightening it. I am so glad she told me about this because I absolutely love this stuff! My hair is much healthier and softer than it has been in a long time!!

My first review, here goes...

I went into the Lush store after 10 years (I was 12 and had bought a mother's day gift with my mom's friend--I think it was a soap bar--and the overpowering smells all in one tiny store turned me off til now) with one intention: to pick up a perfume. I picked up my perfume and decided to check out some of the hair products I had looked at online. The woman who worked there was extremely helpful and knowledgable so she convinced me to try this shampoo and the American Cream conditioner.

This shampoo is so energizing and light. I had been using this volumizing Bath&BodyWorks shampoo now (after having used Herbal Essences Hello Hydration for years) and just from one wash this morning, my hair was so light and fresh. I have Asian hair that has been permed to waves, so I prefer volumizing shampoos that make my waves more prominent.

After using Rehab, my hair wasn't weighed down, it didn't flatten, but instead it really was lifted from my scalp. It felt like my whole head was lighter! The smell is delicious and though it doesn't seem to lather up as other shampoos (probably because of Lush's natural ingredients/no preservatives), It seemed to have done a super good job of cleaning my hair.

I'm gonna try using it consistently for a few days and see if I should go back for more!!

This is by far the worst shaampoo I have ever used.
My scalp is so itchy and irritated aand rashy feeling after only one use. My hair is incredibly frizzy and puffy and straw like even though I used Retread conditioner as suggested after using this product. During washing I could tell it was overstripping my hir as it became matted and impossible to run fingers through. I bought the largest size and am so disappointed as I would never even try this again, it is that bad.

I, LOVE this shampoo. I smelled it briefly in the store, and liked it due to its sort of citrusy, minty smell. When I first tried it, I was BLOWN away by the delicious smell! It lathers so nicely in my shortish length hair, and cleans it so well! If I let my hair air dry, I don't even need a conditioner, it's so soft.

My hair is quite dry on the ends from lots of colouring, blow drying, and straightening, but quite oily on the scalp. So when I asked the sales lady for a hair product she recommended Rehab. After one use it throughly cleaned my scalp leaving it all tingly. I used it with American Cream, and a drug store deep conditioner, and oh my god my hair is so soft. I cant stop touching it!

I'm not usually one to write reviews but I LOVE this shampoo. I was a little skeptical when I first bought it, but after a couple uses I knew I would be a long time Rehab user. I only wash my hair every 3 days and this shampoo makes my hair soft and healthy every time. I use it combined with the American Cream Conditioner and No Drought dry shampoo on the inbetween days. My hair has never looked, felt, or smelled better. It is shiny and healthy and full of life that was never there before. When I first got a sample of it, I didn't believe that the small plastic container that they give you would be enough to wash my past shoulder legnth hair, but I was wrong. I kept the sample container and now I poor the shampoo into that before getting in the shower so I don't waste product. A small bottle has lasted me over a month and I still have 2-3 shampoos left. I highly recommend this combination of products to anyone with normal-oily hair!

After a lifetime of using "salon-exclusive" shampoos, I got a sample of Rehab. It made my hair shiny and smooth, and even enhanced my highlights. I bought a big bottle of the stuff and have been using it pretty much daily ever since.

My scalp psoriasis has stopped flaring up, and my hair is light and shiny even on the next day! Only a quarter-sized amount is required for a really thick lather.

I use this product with Veganese conditioner and have never been happier with my hair than I am now.

I have very thick, wavy hair that is prone to being oily and is also colour-treated once a month. Finding a shampoo that tackles the desire for my hair to turn into a frizzy, dry mess has been a challenge over the years. This product has been a real delight to find and I hope to goodness it doesn't disappear from Lush's line up.

I am actually quite fond of the smell and find that it lathers well - a little goes a long way. Even washing my hair with our well water doesn't seem to affect it's performance (other shampoos work well with water that has been treated but not necessarily with our well water.)

I don't have the frizzies after I'm done, but my hair isn't flat and devoid of life either. I only condition twice a week using American Dream and other than the addition of a little bit of smoother my hair couldn't be happier - or healthier.

I don't know what exactly it is that my hair likes, but I'm happy if it's happy!

I love this product! I only need to use a tiny bit and I get lots of lather! I was actually able to brush my easily-knotted hair while this was in it, which I have never before been able to do! I was skeptical about using this because it doesn't smell great (smells kind of like herbs) but I was impressed! It leaves hair feeling soft, silky, and smooth. I don't use it every day, because it seems to lighten the colour of my lush henna-ed hair. Overall, it's a great shampoo!

I have used some high end shampoos, and while some of them are pretty good, there is something so amazing about Rehab. Firstly, it feels light. Secondly, a little goes a long way, which is what I have found with a lot of Lush products. Sometimes, I come home from the gym and my hair is super greasy and I still only need a fraction of what I would normally use with other shampoos. It also smells fantastic. I get compliments on how healthy my hair looks. If you're like me and you kind of abuse your hair by blow drying it and using the flat iron, I would highly recommend this shampoo. Don't let the price scare you! As I said, you really dont need much.
