No Drought

I have been cursed with greasy hair ever since i hit puberty; I have to wash my hair every day or risk looking like an oily mess. So I tried everything: strong shampoos, not using conditioner, aerosol dry shampoos, switching my hair-washing cycle, but nothing worked. Until No Drought, I had given up the battle.

No Drought doesn't make miracles. But, it's the best thing I have come across. Although the initial price can be off-putting, I can tell that this bottle will last me for a couple of months, if not half a year.

I can wash my hair every other day now, and use ND in between. I unscrew the cap and tap half a tea spoon's amount of the product onto my palms (repeat as needed, maybe four times), rub my hands together, and distribute the product to the roots of my hair. I find that it makes my scalp itchy so I try not to rub it in directly.

I prefer to tie up my hair after since it feels heavier with oil and the powder, but I love that it smells so much better, isn't shiny, and best of all, there is no clumping! I have tested this with a few colleagues and friends – they tell me it doesn't look like I have dirty or oily hair at all. I find the extra texture from No Drought makes it easier for my straight hair to sit in braids.

This can also be a life saver if you don't want to wash your hair but worry your honey won't like sleeping next to greasy hair.

If you are on the fence about ND, just try it! You won't regret it.

This wasn't for me. I've been looking to try a dry shampoo but this didn't leave my hair clean. I was hoping to use a dry shampoo every second day since I have to shampoo every day & wanted a break between washings. This wasn't it. It smelled lovely, as do most Lush products, but my hair certainly didn't feel clean and it looked as flat and greasy as ever.

This product has been on my wish list for a while as I am a stay at home parent of young children - I even waited to buy it while in store (vs online) so I could be shown how to use it and am still disappointed. I have tried it a bunch of times (as I was shown in store with only a tiny bit in my fingers and then a full tossel) but I always end up with white powder glued to my scalp. I really want to love this product and I swear I'm not using too much but it just looks like my halloween hair dye hasn't completely washed out yet. :(

LOVED this product! I absolutely adore the smell and how well this product works with my hair! If I don't wash my hair every day, I get greasy. This is great for those mornings where you don't have time to shower or you are just running out for a few errands.

I used this a few times since buying it a couple of weeks ago and I love it! I've been trying to go longer between shampooings to give my hair a break from the suds, so on the days I don't shampoo my hair (or when I don't wash it at all), it's nice to be able to avoid looking and feeling too greasy.

My method: I normally take a thin section of my hair near my part and flip that over to the other side of my head, clipping it in place, then I sprinkle a tiny bit of No Drought near the new parting on my head, rub it in with my fingertips until it's absorbed, adding more if I need it; always start with less than you think you'll need because it's easy to add more, but harder to take away too much! After that, I flip the thin section of hair back over the "freshened" section and use my fingers to rub my hair and scalp again to blend it all together, then I do the same on the other side of my part. That way, I don't end up with grey "leftovers" on the top of my head, but my hair is no longer oily looking and smells awesome!

With how little I use with each application, I feel like this giant bottle will last a really long time. A+ job, Lush!

I bought this product about a month ago and I absolutely love it. I'm a huge fan of citrus smells, and this is just that. I have black hair, and a couple of times I was a little heavy handed, but if you rustle your hair really well, the white disappears eventually :) What I really love about this product is that it isn't like the other dry shampoos that are sprays, and more or less act like hair spray, and have a strong perfume smell. It also ads just a little hint of volume. Probably one of my favourite lush products.
My ONLY complaint is the packaging. I found that the lid gets clogged with product and I can't close it. I think it would benefit from a baby powder type lid.

Just bought this shampoo yesterday and tried it out this morning and it's great! Seems to absorb the nasty oil and it doesn't leave white spots at all. Usually when people see white flakes or spots, it's probably because they haven't combed or messaged it through their hair enough. It also gave my hair a bit of fullness for a bit when I applied it. Smells great, great price for this amount of product. Thanks Lush, I'll be looking forward to try your other products

Although it can be a little messy, for what it does that the other Dry Shampoo sprays from other companies cannot I would buy this again definetly. With this I don't have to wash my hair everyday, I can wash it every other day. It's a timesaver and is easy to use. If the little flakes are still in my hair, I just comb it out and it looks fine.

Great product, but very messy if your not careful.

I use dry shampoo nearly every other day and have been trying many different kinds. This is by far my favourite! Although, it definitely IS messy, and maybe not AS effective as other brands, the fact that it last so long is worth the money!

I bought this just before Christmas, and normally, with the aerosol cans, I'd have to purchase a new can every couple of months. It's nearly June, and I've barely made a dent in the bottle. It is well over 3/4 of the way full. This will probably last me well over a year. :)

I am notorious for washing my hair every day since I can't stand it being even slightly greasy. So when I stumbled upon No Drought, I had to give it a shot. When I lifted the seal, the product exploded all over my face - it was horrible but hilarious...so open the seal AWAY from your face to avoid this!

I have long and thick Asian hair and a little goes a long way. I pour a dime-sized amount into my palm and rub it between my hands. I then proceed to run my hands through my roots (as close to my scalp as possible) for a good minute or two. After that, I comb through my hair and voila! My hair is as fresh and soft as the day before. It`s no doubt that No Drought is one of the best dry shampoos out there today!

I find that this product works best sprinkling it directly into my hair and then massaging it through. You may find it does leave a grey tinge to your hair, but don't be discouraged. If you keep massaging it in - it will go away! A little goes a long way with this stuff. The more you put it, the more work you have to do so use it sparingly or just as much as you need to get the job done.

I love this product. I've used other dry shampoos before and they would usually only last for a few hours and then my hair would be even worse! i have a fringe and after one day of not washing it's pretty greasy. i sprinkle this all over the top of my head, brush it through and shake it out, and presto! grease is gone! and without residue of white streaks through my hair.

I've used this once and right after, it made my hair even more limp and it looked like their were even more flakes in my hair. I would not recommend this to people who have greasy hair but somehow also manages to get flakes.

It is ineffective in cleaning, leaves residual on hair and scalp..

Unfortunately this product did not fare well for my sensitive scalp. I used it on days between washes with only some success. I found that while it made my hair appear cleaner, it still felt clumpy and greasy and therefore I would wash it more any way. It does however smell fantastic and perhaps for different scalps it will be perfect. Also a tip- for me I found it messy or a tad difficult to apply so best to do it before your make up so it is falling on an already made face.

I saw this in the store, and picked up the last bottle on the shelf. I was pretty excited about it. The bottle is pretty big, so pretty good value for the price. I like the smell better than other dry shampoos I have used (including Oscar blonde - which is lemony, and the cake beauty version). I have dark hair, and this product works well for me. I use a bit at a time, and let it absorb, before adding more. The scent isn't overpowering, even if I use lots...and I checked with my bf, it doesn't look like my head is all white and covered with flour. Great product - must have!

I love this product! Love love love! My hair is so oily and it made it possible to go two days between shampoos when I was away. Works well, looks great, my only complaint is that it sometimes makes my hair pretty static-y but not all the time. I can't seem to figure out the pattern! Looking forward to bringing this to the beach with me this summer

I've been searching for a good dry shampoo for a while now. The expensive salon brands are ok, but they cause a lot of build up and are difficult to wash out. Plus they cost more than I'm really willing to spend for any shampoo. I gave up on them and was using a mixture of baby powder and baking soda. It worked, but this is just so much better and makes me smell like a grown up :)

Best way to use this I find is to apply it to your hair with a big make-up brush. Swirl it around in the powder so you're not dumping a huge load of white powder in your hair, and then lift up your hair with a comb so that you're not only putting it on the top layer of you hair (absorbs more oil this way making it look fresher) and apply evenly. Lasts for the rest of the day.
