Q:Does this grow your hairAsked on 4/4/2015 by Macy the newbie
A:NEW! is designed for those with thinning hair. It contains tons of stimulating ingredients like clove, cinnamon, and mint oils to stimulate the hair follicles to help grow lovely thick hair. If hair growth has fallen by the wayside due to scalp issues, this is a great way to coax circulation back to the scalp to keep it healthy! Please note that we can not promise that any of our products will cause hair to re-grow.Answered on 4/5/2015 by Myriam
Q:Is the D&C red color safe in this shampoo? It stained my washcloth and I couldn't remove it even using bleach. I now have concerns applying it to my scalp.
I would appreciate a respone from you.

A:LUSH has a commitment to safe ingredients for both the user and the environment. All of our products are vegetarian and some are Vegan too! It's also important to understand that we don't use any ingredient that doesn't have a long standing history of being safe for the body or the environment. While the dye has stained your wash cloth I don't think you have anything to worry about in regards to your health. Shampoo bars are the gentlest way to cleanse the scalp as per our resident Trichologist, Mark Constantine has said.Answered on 3/21/2015 by Alexander from LUSH Direct
A:I keep mine in a tin always, but mine has always worked wonders I love the cinnamon scent, the red dye isn't harmful at all. Just buy a tin. :)

Q:Can my 8 year old daughter use this product?Asked on 4/20/2014 by Suzie's from Calgary, AB
A:I started using this product when my daughter was 8 years old, she is now 9. I love how it leaves her hair and the smell is awesome. I combine it with the Okra conditioner. I can' go wrong.Answered on 5/7/2014 by Anonymous
A:There is no reason why your daughter can't use New shampoo as long as she is not allergic to any of the ingredients which are listed on our site!Answered on 5/3/2014 by Anonymous
A:Hi Susie! I don't see why not. How old is your daughter? I myself love the
shampoo bars and I am in my late 20s. I frequently by LUSH products for the
kids in my life, although I have never purchased a shampoo bar for a child
I think they would love one.Answered on 4/21/2014 by Anonymous
Q:How often should I use this to stimulate hair growth?Asked on 9/29/2013 by Kat
A:I would recommend you use this product daily to make your hair strong and healthy. It does tend to take a couple of months to see the full effects so definitely keep that in mind!Answered on 12/8/2013 by Anonymous
A:I use it daily to make my hair strong and healthy!
I've also seen an increase in hair and less dead hair!
Hope this helps :)Answered on 11/25/2013 by Mel from Ottawa (Ontario)
Q:How long does the shampoo bar last? (in the sense of how many times can I use it until it runs out)Asked on 8/9/2013 by Money from Edmonton, CAN
A:It depends on your hair length and care you take in storing it. For long hair I would estimate it lasting approximately 30 washes, so long as you dry it immediately following showers. For shorter hair it could last about 60-70 washes.Answered on 8/14/2013 by Anonymous
A:I don't know how long it lasts. I expected to use more each time I
shampooed but it takes very little and the bar doesn't look different
except the seam around the circumference is gone. It will last much longer
than I thought it would.Answered on 8/9/2013 by Anonymous
Q:Can this product be used on colour treated hair?Asked on 10/30/2012 by LittleLushie from Canada
A:Our haircare at LUSH is not tested on colored hair, therefore, we do not market the products as being "color-safe". This being said, there are definitely some shampoos that tend to fade color more than others because of the ingredients they have. It is best to stay away from shampoos with salt, or citrus juices, as they are clarifying ingredients that tend to strip color faster. New shampoo should not be one of the shampoo bars that fades color.Answered on 11/2/2012 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
Q:Hi, Is this PH Balanced? I have wavy black hair and am experiencing (thinning hair) hair loss and my scalp is usually oily and ends frizzy. I go 3-4days before shampooing again. I am skeptical if the product will dry my scalp or strip my hair of moisture after usage. I am in love with the smell though :) currently using other brand protein shampoo with Jungle.
Please advice if I can safely use it.
-Desperate lush lover from IndiaAsked on 4/27/2012 by Artpost from Singapore
A:At LUSH we don't use a pH scale to measure products individually, as we like to focus on the bigger picture of bringing fresh botanicals and essential oils to the hair and skin for great results. New! is a very stimulating shampoo bar because we include loads of clove bud, peppermint, and cinnamon leaf, and it helps encourage blood circulation to the scalp for optimal scalp health. I personally have not found it to be drying for the hair, and it's best used in combination with one of our hair conditioners to restore hydration again after cleansing.Answered on 5/3/2012 by Megan from LUSH
Q:Hello, how long does this soap last before going rancid or expiring?Asked on 1/22/2012 by Lubly from Toronto, ON
A:The solid shampoos have a shelf-life of 14 months, and will last a long while if you let them dry fully between uses. Keep them in a well-drained soap dish for best results.Answered on 2/16/2012 by Megan from LUSH
