Lip balms are one of my beauty obsessions, and I have tried MANY varieties from many brands over the years. High-end, low-end, I've sampled them all. This is one of the very best.

I was nervous about trying it, because the reviews were inconsistent, and I waffled back and forth for weeks. I'm a big fan of Ultra-balm, which I carry in my purse and use a lot as lip-balm so I didn't know if there was any reason to get this one too...I'm so glad I decided to get it!

It has a consitency that is completely different from any other balm I have tried. It's hard to describe, it's almost flaky. It's also white, not clear, so it's sort of a weird expererience getting it out of the tin and putting it on your lips. But the minute you start rubbing it on your lips it starts to transform-it gets all soft and, I know this sounds weird, but almost fluffy. It says in the description that because it is made of cocoa butter it starts off with a "hard consistency", and I would compare it to putting room temperature butter on a nice, warm piece of toast-your lips are the toast, and it melts right on in the same wonderful way!

The person in another review who described it as making her lips feel like pillows was right on-it makes your lips feel immediately soothed and softened. I didn't find you need to carry it in your pocket-I never do that. I just get a little piece on my nail and apply it, or rub my fingertip around in the tin until I softens up a little bit. No biggie.

It also has the greatest scent, it's like a really subtle lemon custard, not overpowering at all, but light and fresh. And I usually hate lemon flavors/scents!

I never realized it before using this, but most lip balms are too goopy, and too strongly flavored. The subtle flavoring is perfect-it makes the balm pleasant to apply, but not so yummy you want to eat it off again! I'm ordering a bunch more of these for stocking stuffers, plus I want to have another one myself-I need one for the bedside, AND one for my purse!

I was surprised that I did not like this item. It is very hard. You have to warm up the product with your fingers. I found it ineffective, and my lips would be dry within less than an hour

I usually don't write reviews but i really APPRECIATE when ppl do write reviews because it helps me buy products and not waste my money. I read reviews on this and decided to give it a try. I used to get terrible chapped lips, it would get like weirdly white on the corners of my mouth. Whenever i used chapstick or anything else i felt like it was just BUILDING another layer on top of my chapped lips so it wasn't really doing anything for me except add on a layer. But lip service really makes you FEEL like it is working and making your lips feel healthy and smooth! I use this in combination with the mint julips -PERFECT COMBO! You do have to warm it up a bit before you use it so i usually just put it in the pocket of my jeans or sweater for like a min or two then take it out. ENJOY!

I have been using Lip Service for years and years and cannot live without it. It is so rich and my husband says my lips feel like pillows. I use it everyday, whenever my lips feel dry. It is one beauty product that I CANNOT do without!

Went splurging at Lush again. Picked up Lip Service cause fall and winter are around the corner and my lips are the first to feel it. They were dry and cracked for a few days, purchased Lip Service and they are immediately feeling relief! The balm isn't greasy but in colder temperatures it seems hard to apply, nothing a little body warmth can't smooth out. Once you put it on your lips the balm immediately melts. Loves it!

It has creamy not too firm texture that spreads well on my lips. Leaves a nice light just enough to be noticed smell. My lips feel really smooth afterwards. I thought I loved Honey Trap (still a good one) but I think I have a new favourite.

This is a great product, it doesn't last too long, but it's AMAZING at treating chapped lips. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who doesn't mind re-applying your lip balm a little bit more often . (:

While it smells okay and does some good things for my dry lips, it's really hard to get out of the container. I do keep the tin in my hip pocket and this usually means that it will apply pretty easily. Otherwise, it's really hard to get out of the tin, and does not want to smooth onto my lips. I'll finish this one up, but then I'll try something else.

This was just ok. It didn't really impress me, which is surprising because some of the other lip balms really did. What I disliked the most about it was how hard it got, after only a week. It's almost impossible to get out of the container unless I heat it up or dig it out, and it doesn't smooth onto my lips very good either.

I have extremely dry sky - I live in a windy university town. I chose this lip balm for its natural ingredients. I have to say, it's not bad. It feels natural, and tastes natural, and is super smooth.



However, you definitely have to warm this up before putting it on, otherwise it's near impossible to smear it on your mouth. Also, I still find carmex is more effective for me. Finally, is there any SPF in this? It would be nice to have sun protection.



It took three days for this to totally soften my cracked lips. Every day I saw an improvement, but the first day was discouraging.

I have a really disgusting habit of picking my lips to the point where they bleed and I have scabs for a couple of days. To avoid this, my only saving grace until I could stop this annoying habit was Carmex.



One day, I found myself without any Carmex, but there was a Lush shop. I decided to try Lip Service, and was pleasantly surprised. The balm is AMAZING! This one is as healing as Carmex. Not only did I wake up the following day without the scabs and redness, but my lips were soft and smooth.



While there are no bells and whistles like other balms that offer gloss and flavour, Lip Service does some heavy duty work for me. I'll buy more when this one is done, which based on how long lasting it is, won't be for a while!

I just starting using this lip balm yesterday and I am liking it very much. It doesn't really have a taste or smell - but that is actually good for me - i'm not tempted to lick it all off or get a headache from a potent smell. I only took off 1 star becuase I need to reapply quite often. Some people mentioned that it is hard in the tin, but if you keep it in your pocket, your body warmth is enough to keep it soft - plus it gets soft when it hits the warmth of your lips too.

After reading the reviews on this one, I thought I would give it a try. While it's quite good, I find the citrus scent a little too much for me. But that's minor- it still works very well and I don't find it's too hard to apply. Lite Lip is still my favorite though- Lush makes the best lip balms (and everything else :) )

I find this product works if you apply it about 3 times a day. You should also apply it at night. I find this product hard to put on you finger because it is very hard. You will have to put it in your nail. This product works on extremely chapped lips. It works all year long. If you are looking for a product that even works with cold wheather such as winter weather I recommend this product.
