I have been using the same bar for nearly 8 months now (seriously, these things last forever). I originally converted while looking for a solution to my coarse and extremely split hair. While this bar didn't help with the latter problem (though a much-needed trimming did!) my hair now feels soft and smooth.

A great way to get a enough lather is to give the soap a little rub on the top of your head, then use your fingers to spread it out.

My hair used to be dependent on a chemical filled shampoo for YEARS. I have medium length, thick, dark brown, wavy hair. I was reluctant to find a solution because my hair was so reliant on my previous shampoo that if I didn't use it everyday, my hair would be so incredibly greasy that I was practically forced into using the shampoo.

I was THRILLED to come across Jumping Juniper! I felt a miraculous difference on the first day of using it that I will never go back to my old shampoo again. Usually at the end of my day, especially after work my hair used to be incredibly oily even if I had showered a couple hours before. But I've noticed my hair is dry yet silky smooth and shiny for at least a day or so.

I was surprised at the fact it could take away my grease but still leave shine, creating a healthy feel. I always feared products that promised of "shine" because to me it just meant it would irritate my scalp and hair glands some how and make my hair even more greasy. But Jumping Juniper does the opposite and instead of stripping my hair completely and leaving my hair dry, course and dull; it leaves my hair looking healthy with a hint of shine!

I was also very surprised on how much it lathers! I feel that it is very effective. Although I give this product a well deserved 5 stars, I do have to say that in the shower at first it seems as though it somewhat strips my hair. But once I use a good conditioner, my hair seems to be back to normal.

I try to only shampoo/wash my hair every couple days, instead of making it daily like I did in my past. So on the days I'm not washing, I like to pair Jumping Juniper with Lush's No Drought Dry Shampoo.

So .. I've been using this product for about two weeks now. I have extremely oily hair and it definitely helps with that. I'm currently sitting here on my second day of hair and no signs of oily-ness (which never happens - I usually have to wash my hair everyday)and the volume that this thing gave me! Oh my jebus! The bounce! it's a beautiful thing.

Downfall? My ends are drying up real fast. I find myself having to put conditioner on my ends in the shower and then still use a leave in conditioner when I get out :s Keep in mind- I had bleach in my hair from when I went blonde and have recently gone back to dark (two weeks) so I know that could have something to do with it but even as a blonde my hair never felt this rough :s
With that being said - The girl who helped me at LUSH mentioned that it wouldn't pull my new color and after one wash I noticed a HUGE difference. I could see my color going down the drain.
Again, that could have something to do with the pre-blonde but still :(

I'm still using it because I love the volume and bounce but will I continue after the bar is done? That - I do not know.

I tried this because I was sick of my bulk shampoo bottles and the wasteful packaging. I was very skeptical that this would work at all, but it turns it that it works better. You need very little to lather. I have thick long hair and went way overboard the first time. My hair looks so healthy and gorgeous after this. I don't use conditioner with it, as I have oily locks as it as. My hair seems to only need this to look it's best. I use every other day for best results, and keeping oil at bay. The smell doesn't linger, wish it did, that is my only con.
I am mainly just happy that I can start using solid shampoo and say farewell to my costco bulk bottles forever. The lack of chemicals/icky ingredients is nice too. This is a good unisex scent, not too girly for my husband (although it does look girly, being purple and all). I also bought 'godiva' to try incase this dried out my hair too much, but I haven't had to break it out yet.

This product makes my hair seriously clean! I will admit I was really skeptical about trying this solid shampoo bar but it totally works for removing oil and it smells great too! I don't recommend using every day because it can be very drying.

I have just got out of the shower trying his for the first time after buying this product. And I have to say this is so amazing!!!! My hair has never felt better! I have dyed, bleached, and abused my hair so much and it has been terrible! It's growing out and has a problem with being greasy one day and dry the next! After one wash, my hair is better looking and softer than with any other shampoo I have ever used! Also, the fact that they don't test this on animals. New favorite Product!!!!

I have very straight hair so my hair would get greasy fast and really gross by the end of the school day. I was reading on LUSH and I saw great reviews about Jumping Juniper so I decided to pick it up. I use to wash my hair everyday and now I can last up to three days! My hair smells great and my hair feels really soft after! I use my Jungle solid condidtioner and it does wonders! I don't think I'll buy any other shampoo, thanks LUSH!

I was concerned that a bar of shampoo wouldn't be able to work through my VERY thick, VERY long hair. The sales associate told me I only needed to rub it up and down my hair 3 times and it would lather up... I rubbed it about 6 and had WAY too much lather. A little goes a long way, it smells beautiful and my hair looks amazing!

I LOVE this product. After only the first use my friend, Lush enthusiast, noticed something different about my hair (and I never even told her that I used the shampoo)! Honestly I have never had such gentle hair on the second day after using other shampoos! Jumping Juniper leaves the hair absolutely soft and untangled (as my hair gets seriously tangled if I leave it down)! It also gives my hair a very nice shine to it! The only negative thing I've noticed when using the shampoo is that after rinsing it in the shower it feels like it dries out my hair. But after drying it it's absolutely silky smooth! Honestly, I am so glad I found this shampoo!!

I have quite oily hair and then 'jumping juniper' was the answer. it stripped down all the oil that would normaly be left over in my hair, compared to using shampoo bought from shoppers. you dont need to use much of it either, it just lathers up beautifully reaching every part of your hair not missing any spots. I love this product and will continue to buy it as my normal shampoo.
Now, the only thing is it started to dry my hair out to much. so i went to an easy solution, i got 'godiva' a shapoo bar thats a conditioner/shampoo in one to even out the dryness. so I use juniper one day and the next godiva and my hair is perfect and soft!!
so if you have oily hair these two products are a perfect team!
also makes a good travel shampoo since you dont have to worry about it explodig in your luggage :)

I originally bought this product because I am allergic to all the chemicals in regular shampoos. I didn't think it would work too well being made out of what it was, but I've been using it for a while now and it works great!! It makes my hair feel so clean!!

I've heard about LUSH solid shampoos for years but I'd never tried them because I thought it would be a hassle in the shower. My best friend sings high praises about the solid shampoos (she loves "NEW!") and we have similar hair types, so I figured she might be right and I tried out Jumping Juniper, and I LOVE IT. It's so easy to use in the shower -- I just try to keep it out of the spray of the shower so it doesn't get too wet.

I wet my hair, take the bar and rub it in top to bottom strokes a few times. I put the bar back into the tin (wet side up) and then add a little water to my head to lather up. I was surprised at how easily it lathered, and the bubbles felt less "soapy" and drying than regular shampoo lather, if you know what I mean. I let it sit there while I do the rest of my shower and then rinse out.

It rinses clean and fast, but I probably should've used a conditioner because when I blow dried my hair yes it was shiny, manageable, and had volume, my ends of my hair were a bit dry. So I just rubbed some coconut oil on them to remedy that. The smell of the shampoo doesn't really linger on my hair, which is a shame, but oh well, I really like how this shampoo makes my hair look!

I've purchased Seanik too and can't wait to try that as well!

Overall it's a nice, cute and light product but I prefer my other liquid shampoo. When I use this, it doesn't remove the oil from my scalp completel, like my other shampoo does, even if I later 2-3 times..

I bought this because I have the greasiest hair if I don't wash it for one day but at the same time I have annoying dandruff if I don't wash or overwash. I can't use this every single day or else my scalp gets dry and starts to flake like crazy. It definitely cleanses my hair very well, leaving it super shiny and silky and I find that I lose less hair with this. I used other drugstore shampoos that cause clumps in my shower, I still get them but not as much. Overall, really good for every other day shampooing.

This bar was bought after my liquid shampoo burst whilst travelling Alberta. Best 10$ spent ever!

I have hair down to my waist that gets really greasy really fast. So do two of my younger sisters. We used this bar at least 4 times a week for 3 months. It lasts forever!

For the first time in my life I've actually had static in my hair! It's a strange, strange experience.

The only thing I thought was bad/strange about this bar is that my hair seemed to be bleached by it. Instead of getting darker as winter progressed my hair got lighter. It's lighter right now than it usually is in the summer. This kind of makes me wonder what'll happen if I use Jumping Juniper in the summer.

Other than that strange little factoid, this bar is an awesome shampoo. I will definitely buy this product again.

Okayyy so THANK you lush for taking this off of the retro line and putting it back into circulation in the stores! I always wanted to try this shampoo because I have long hair which is manageable, but very oily at the roots, which can be quite a pain at times. This shampoo bar is very balancing as the SA described it to me, and helps give a nice clean refreshed feeling after washing my hair, without drying it out. I usually get oily the day after washing, but I can save at least another day when I use this, or even two! I also have to say I loveee the smell of this one, it reminds me of froot loops and it's purple too! Overall, will continue using this paired with jungle on the ends of my hair which seems to be the perfect combination!

I was nervous about my hair being greasy, but the product worked really well. You don't need to rub the bar too much to get a lot of lather. My hair felt super clean, and the next day it was soft, shiny and not greasy at all. I wish the shampoo made my hair smell like juniper, but it's not a big deal to me. I would definitely buy this product again.

I was really excited to try this product after reading everyones reviews. When I used it for the first time I was surprised how much it lathers! it was great...I didnt use any conditioner because I have really oily hair. When

I came out of the shower I brushed through it fine and it didnt tangle at all.... later on in the day my hair didnt feal clean at all. There was no smell to it which I didnt really care but my hair just didnt feel clean at all. I would normally wash my hair every other day and use dry shampoo for the days in between but using this product I have to wash it everyday.



I wish it worked for my oily hair but it doesnt. Hopefully another one will work.

For a few years now I've had problems with little beads of oil accumulating on my scalp after I shampoo. I've tried every medicated shampoo and nothing has worked. Then I read the description for the Juniper shampoo bar and decided to try it. So far it's working great! The oil beads have gotten less and less in numbers. The bar also smells great! It reminds me of a Long Island Iced Tea full of citrus. I hope LUSH keeps it in stock for years to come.

The scent is just beautiful to use in the shower, yet it lingers only lightly on my hair. The shampoo cleans my hair very well, like all of my Lush shampoo bars, and rinses out well. I like to rub it over my hands like a soap bar, and *then* rub the lather into my scalp and hair, rather than rub the bar over my hair and head like suggested.
