I have tried everything for my acne.EVERYTHING, from oral to topical. This moisturizer is the only one that I've used that actually absorbs fully into my skin and does not clog my pores. I have bounced back in forth, only because of accessibility to LUSH stores. Big mistake, as I broke out and had ruddy red skin immediately after switching.I am absolutley in love with this moisturizer and will never, ever, ever stray again. I'm a LUSH girl for life!

I had never used a face moisturizer before buying this. I decided to give it a try since my skin has improved a ton since converting to Lush. At first it made me feel a little greasy and weird but then I discovered I was just using too much. I cut down on how much i used and it's awesome. Makes my skin feel smooth and awesome and my skin really seems to appreciate it. A little really, really does go a long way! I have been using it twice a day for two weeks now and it still looks like it was never used. Love it.

My aunt gave me this moisturizer since it wasn't doing anything for her. I thought why not give it a try and I was pleasantly surprised by the results. It moisturizes and hydrates, leaving my skin dewey and soft and comfortable all day. It doesn't irritate, cause oiliness or breakouts. I use it day and night and only need one application each time (as opposed to reapplying if your skin still feels dry afterwards). I like the smell, I like the results and I especially like the price. I think my skin type is normal-sensitive and I do get pimples now and then but nothing remarkable. I find that I either get oily or dry if I'm not using the right products and when I break out it would be because I was using the wrong product or stress/hormones so nothing topical could really help that. Just in case readers are curious, I use an organic castile soap for sensitive skin to wash my face (occasionally with a sonic facial brush) and pure tea tree oil on spots. This, in combination with Lush Imperialis seems to be a perfect skincare routine for me!!! After years of searching (and spending) , I've FINALLY found my moisturizer :-) Thank you Lush!

I feel like it did nothing for me though. My dry areas looked the same but it didn't make my oily aread worse ( which was great!)
If your skin isn't super dry/patchy and just mildly dry - this would be a good choice

I first bought Imperialis in store because I was looking for a product that would suit my combination skin. And boy does it! In fact, it has almost completly balanced my skin! I have also found that I am able to use it in the super humid summer, and in harsh winter conditions. I am simply in LOVE with Imperialis! Some other reviewers haven't liked the scent, but I have to disagree. It's super light, and I'm a huge fan of lavender. If you want something that leaves your skin unbelievably soft, smells of lavender, and is unbelievably soothing, Imperialis is a must have. Don't be fooled by the small pot size, a little goes a long way.

It took me a while to get a good skin routine going. I work in a pool so on one hand the chlorine stripped and dried out my skin which made me break out over my cheeks and T-zone, and on the other hand, the area around my mouth and chin would just stay super dry. Finally after trying various drug store solutions (Aveeno, Clean & Clear etc) I was recommended to try Lush.

After using Ocean Salt, (which irritated and dried my skin even further despite being in love with the smell) I tried the combination of Fresh Farmacy, Tea Tree Water, and Imperialis.

Imperialis is wonderfully light weight, and it soaks in really fast. I wasn't a huge fan of the smell at first, but I kinda like it now. It mattifies and moisturizes and does exactly what it says in terms of balancing combination skin.

The only complaint I have is that for the super dry parts of my face, sometimes I need to add more layers throughout the day because my face feels dry.

Overall, I feel it does a better job on the oily parts of my face than the dry parts, but it does not stop me from repurchasing.

I have been using Imperialis for over a year now. I have gone through many facial moisturizers in my lifetime, and this is the one I've stuck with. It feels amazing on your face, does the job, and is great in combination with my other LUSH products. My face feels soft all day after applying it under my cover up. I'd highly recommend this to anyone with dry or combination skin types!

After many recommendation I received a sample of this product at my local Lush, but was less than thrilled when I tried it at home. It didn't feel like it was being absorbed as I applied it and it left me feeling greasy all day.

So I've never had luck with face creams. My skin is oily in places and dry in others, and most creams are either oily, dry, or for normal skin. No lie, this cream is the most amazing thing I've ever used. For me, a little goes a long way, but I add a little bit more to my dry area's. Though it does smell a little weird, you get use to it. Honestly, the smell doesn't even matter because it works so well.

I used this along with the Eau Roma water (which is awesome), daily for my morning moisturizing. I did use the entire jar and it was definitely moisturizing but the consistency bothered me - felt heavy but also watery on my skin - once I finished the whole jar I opted for Celestial instead. The smell wasn't amazing, but it wasn't anything offensive either. Overall it is a great moisturizer, just not for me.

This product is amazing! It's really lightweight, and it spreads really easily. Just a little dab will do ya! Especially if you're prone to oily skin like me. I love this moisturizer because it really balances the skin. It's so lightweight that it doesn't clog the pores, and adds moisture where it's needed. I just can't decide if I like the smell or not! It has a really powerful scent. I definitely didn't like the smell at first, but it has grown on me. People with oily or combination skin definitely need to try this!

I am a cheapskate. BIG one. So the price of anything from Lush and the size of their tubs REALLY put me off, but I began getting desperate with my face.I have extremely uncooperative skin; Combination sensitive skin. It hates product, but more than that it hates just being washed with water and left without moisterizer. My cheeks flake terribly and feel like lizard skin, and my forehead could rival oil spills-- I wondered if I would ever find a product that balanced it out.

Nothing I spent my hard earned money on has worked... that is until a couple days ago when I picked up a sample of Imperialis (free samples are good in my book!). Ordinarily I would wait to review an item until a week of trying it, but the minute I put it on I just had to write something. In just two days of use, my cheeks have begun their long awaited softness! And my forehead is not producing as much oil as it did... just wow. I get giddy just thinking about the results in a week of use!

The cons of it is I can see what other reviewers have said; it's quite thick. I find that just adding fingertipped amounts to the problem areas (my t-zone) after washing my face and while it's still wet, is enough to appease the skin gods. Thus making the rather small tub not so off-putting afterall.

When my sample runs out, this cheapskate will be spending the money gladly to get TWO tubs.

I Live in Northern Canada where the air is so dry you see static when you put a sweater on. I found this moisturizer works extremly well. You have to use it on a daily basis and I use Eau Roma Water and it's fantastic. I haven't found a body moisturizer from them yet that works well enough but the face cream is awesome.

I use this once a day. My skin is a bit of everything really. So it is hard for me to identify it with one "type". I walked into lush one day just cuz and was introduced to this cream. used up the whole container and i love it. Its just the perfect basic moisturizer.
I didn't break out at all, my pores got smaller and my skin much clearer. Its amazing.
I am originally East Indian so I am dark but very pale for a "Dark" person. Its just a dab and it goes a long way. LOVE IT!!!

I wasn't too fond of this moisturizer. I have combination oily/dry skin, and I found that this moisturizer never really sunk (sank?) in. It left my face really shiny, and I feel like even hours after I put it on, I could blot my face and still feel the moisturizer on there. It just didn't absorb well into my skin and made it even more oily. On a suggestion from a staff member, I switched to Enzymion and it works much better for me!
