Let's just start by stating the obvious: this product SMELLS AMAZING! I can just sit here and sniff my bottle of I Love Juicy forever!! Think of that fantastic smell of the Juicy Fruit chewing gum... but much more intense and delicious. You can't dislike this scent.
I love the way this shampoo cleans my hair. It gets any impurity out of there. That is where the only con comes in: I can't use this shampoo every day because it dries my hair and scalp! I blow-dry and straighten my hair and so those are extra reasons why I can't use a somewhat drying shampoo on my hair everyday. To fix this, I use it just a couple times a week, alternating with Seanik and Godiva shampoo bars. What a combination of great products. I like to pair with American Cream and Veganese conditioners, all from Lush!
Lathers amazingly! I have looots of thick, oily hair and the smallest amount creates a mountain of clean lather on my head and the great smell lasts days. Try this shampoo!!

I normally wash my hair every other day, but by mid-to end of the second day it is very oily around the roots.
I bought this shampoo thinking that it would dry my hair out enough that I could stick to my usual routine but not be a greaseball by the end of the second day.
However, I found that it REALLY stripped my roots of oil to the point of dryness, and then the second day had even worse oil because my scalp was trying to replace all of the oils that I had washed out the day before!
In addition the ends of my hair tend to be very dry so I found that the shampoo MAJORLY dried out my ends by using it every day.
3 stars because it DOES work but probably works better for someone who a) doesn't have super dry ends and b) uses it every day.

I have oily, fine hair so I turned to this shampoo to clean my hair well and it does. I think it's a bit too harsh on my hair and it strips any dye right out of your hair but it does leave it very clean. I recommend using this every other day instead of everyday. It was okay but I'm going to try something different.

I see some mixed reviews, I guess everyone is different. I have waist length "normal" hair. I wash it every 2 or 3 days. I have been using this for over a month with zero issues. It smells very fresh like orangey tropical juice. It lathers extremely well and really lasts a long time. The amount of lather and length of time it lasts puts it ahead of any shampoo I've ever used. I should also say that my hair isn't any "healthier" or "shinier" either, really no different.

I use this shampoo every other day and it just leaves my hair oily so far. It lathers really well, and does seem to cleanse the hair perfectly, but that's part of the thing I don't like about it. After rinsing it out, my hair is an oil-less clump of shark skin. It cleanses way too intensley for my normal/thick/straight hair. If I don't use a conditioner with it, forget about combing that mess. The smell was also irritating, there wasn't a large selection of shampoo when I bought this one, so I thought I'd just try it out. Never again.

I gave I Love Juicy is effective! It smells amazing and it gives your hair a really clean feeling. BUT, this product is NOT for dry/normal hair!! This is definitely a product that should be used by people with very oily, product gunked hair only! My hair is thick & wavy but normal and I tried this - but it stripped my hair down to the point where it was breaking and falling out after only 3 uses, even with conditioner.

I was having an issue with not being able to have second-day hair due to the fact that I have oily hair. I went to a LUSH store and they told me this would be perfect, it would dry my hair out just enough to allow less washing and such. This is the best product I've bought from Lush!
I don't have thinning hair, but I do have baby-fine hair that lays extremely flat, and falls easily. I also have very sensitive skin.
Previously I was using Big shampoo, and I found the smell unbearable, and the product application a hassle. The amazing smell of I.L.J is like emerging from deep water- a breath of fresh air.
This shampoo lathers amazingly, even with the greasiest hair. I go camping every week, and sometimes showers are few; it's great to have a shampoo that doesn't need to be repeated to get your hair clean.
As with all Lush products, by far my favorite feature is the fact that it's all natural. I don't feel bad washing my hair in the river, and the scent doesn't leave me with a headache.

I'll be up-front: this product is for people with OILY hair.
I have super thick, oily hair. My hair is grease-city quickly after a wash with "just any" shampoo, but this one cleans really well! I can actually go an extra day when I wash with this. Which is great, because who wants irritation from overwashing? Also: 1) can be used with no conditioner; 2) a little dab'll do.
As for the smell: even though it's one of the last ingredients, I find the smell of kiwi is the most prominent here. Not my favourite, but I'm sure other fruit-lovers would love it.
I Love Juicy dries non-oily hair out, but IMO, it's not the shampoo's fault; it's just meant for greasier hair-types.
So: If you have oily hair, consider this product! If not, try something else. I hear Trichomania is great for dry hair.

This stuff is fantastic! I have incredibly greasy hair, and nothing seemed to work on it until I tried this shampoo. I am pleased to say that it mopped up almost all the grease and left my hair feeling squeaky clean! It also smells fantastic! The only problem is that it doesn't clean too well right at the roots of my hair, but other than that, great stuff! Will definently be repurchasing.

I have been looking for this shampoo forever!!I have very oily hair and have to shampoo every day which is a pain in the butt when you have no time. My hair is super fine and super oily. I absolutely love this shampoo!! I have dreadlocks, which means that I need to use a shampoo that doesn't contain moisturizers or leave any residue. I Love Juicy fits the bill perfectly! If you have dreadlocks, and have been wondering if any of the Lush shampoos are okay to use on them, I Love Juicy is definitely the way to go! :)
Since dreads don't need to be washed as frequently as regular hair, my bottle lasts me a really long time, even with my (also dread-headed) boyfriend using it! It also gets rid of the musty dread smell that sometimes happens if you fall asleep on wet dreads.
The little bit of salt in there helps tighten em a bit too! 5 STARS!

I really liked this when I first bought it. It smells amazing, to me it reminds me of skittles. It allows me to go longer without washing. I originally bought it because my hairdresser dyed my hair too dark (black) and I needed something to strip the colour. It worked okay for that. Now I have a medium brown colour and I dont use this often because I want to keep my colour. Its good for clarifying though. I find it makes my hair really knotty and hard to comb through. It also dries it out quite a bit.

I recently bought I Love Juicy and am amazed at how clean and soft my hair feels! I have noticed, however, that it strips off the demi-permanent hair dye I use on my hair... A:
Since fruit juices lift away dirt, oil, and deposits from the hair, they're not able to differentiate between deposits you want to keep (such as any dyes) vs. styling product residue or other build up you want to remove. To minimize colour stripping, we recommend selecting a moisturizing shampoo that doesn't contain any fruit juices or sea salt. I quite enjoy the Gentle Lentil solid shampoo in the Retro line, or the Godiva solid shampoo for the least colour-removal.Answered on 6/12/2012 by Megan from LUSH
