I have searched high and low for a really great hand cream and this is the one! I have tried everything, from brand names to stuff from the health food store...most were greasy, and really didn't last. The other types were often really oily, and smelly. This cream is just the opposite. It has this really soft, pretty, subtle smell, and it just melts into your hands when you put it on. I swear it makes my hands look younger!

In the winter I always develop red, sore, rough patches on my hands from dryness. Most hand creams just soften the redness, but it's still there. This cream got rid of it completely. Now, this cream does not last all day-it needs to be re-applied every time you wash your hands. But it smells soooo good, and a little goes a LONG way. I find if I put too much on, I have to work it into my whole arm, it's like my skin can only absorb so much! I really don't think it's realistic to think a cream would stay on for hours. But what I can say about this cream is that while others seem to just add a layer of "cream", this hand cream actually treats your hands, like a medicine.

I am an educator, and I wash my hands thoroughly, and frequently. I now carry this in my purse, and have just ordered another one to keep by the bed. I even put it on my legs at night, because my legs get really dry in the winter. I've also ordered one for my mom-It is really amazing.

A friend and I were walking around the mall one sunday. He was looking for Hockey gear for the upcoming season, and I was looking for new school supplies.

Loving all things natural and aimed at making my skin soft, we popped into LUSH. The two sales girls there wanted to used a cuticle balm, a salt scrub and then let us use a lotion on our hands. My friend needed a little convincing: "I'm a BOY, Becca." But he did it without too much complaint. :P

It was brilliant, as a cook I wash my hands a lot, and they're dry enough to begin with, so they quickly become chapped. As for my friend, as a hockey player he gets "Glove hand" and they honestly feel like scales. We both loved this product, and he was very quick to buy it. Much to the amusement of all three sales girls, and myself.

I would recomend this product to anyone who needs a little extra help, it would be great for winter dryness, and even after playing in the dirt.

Oh my goodness, I first received this lotion from a friend as a gift about two years ago and I've never gone back. I used to get terrible eczema on the tops of my hands due to winter dryness and it could only ever be soothed. Since I started applying Helping Hands every night before bed (since I got it the first time), my eczema has never even popped up in the winters since!
It smells fantastic and since my body associates it with sleeping, I'm lulled to sleep by its scent. It's an excellent moisturizer, but if your hands are extra dry, you may have to apply it a few times, which doesn't bother me one bit!

I had an allergic reaction to a soap from another store, and my skin on my hands had become extremely dry and sore. Not to mention how red my skin was as well.

I went on a trip to Lush to buy this, having heard good things about. After I left the store, I put it on and instantly felt relief. The redness in my skin was more or less gone, and the pain from the dryness was going away. The best part? I had only used a tiny bit from the underside of the lid! I hardly need to use any in order to get results.

This is an AMAZING product, and possibly one of my favourite things from Lush. I will definitely be buying this again whenever I run out of the stuff I already have.

I have very dry hands. I am a nurse and wasj my hands often, but i also have very bad eczema on them. they get cracked and bleed and got very sore. with helping hands, they are no longer sore, not at all itchy and smooth! I brought it to work and was passing it around for other nurses and psw's to try!

This is amazing! I bought this after a salesperson suggested I try this as I have horrible dry cracked skin. Washing my hands multiple times a day at work doesn't help either. I put this on when I get home and my hands feel so good afterword. They're finally soft and smooth, I will definitely be buying this again. I love the smell as well, it smells like a mixture of wood chips and cinnamon.

I got this product during a mix-up with an online order. I didn't intentionally order this, but when Smitten was out of stock, I was given this instead (for free!). I was very happy to see the substitute in my package, but immediately my first impression was that Helping Hands isn't as "fun" or exciting as Smitten would be, so I was a little sceptical. Needless to say, I love Helping Hands! The scent is very light and like lavender. Itis a thick hand cream, and if you apply too much it can be greasy. If you run it in enough, or only apply to the backs of hands, it's not really a problem. The one thing I like best about this product is that it leaves skin feeling different than traditional moisturizers. It leaves my skin feeling extremely soft and moist to the touch. It's a really refreshing feeling. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Living in Ontario with the cold harsh winters doesn't help my already dry/chapped hands. Add overusing hand sanitizer and my hands need some serious help! A LUSH employee recommended this cream to me, and I am so thankful! I use it every night before bed, and when I wake up in the morning, my hands are still soft! In fact, my hands are still soft throughout the day! The cream absorbs nicely, without completely vanishing on your skin. I've used other creams and body butters that absorb into my skin, but don't seem to help the dryness. That is not the case with this cream! It's seriously a life saver!! The smell isn't that great, but I could really care less since the cream works so well. It's a little greasy upon application, but a few minutes later it's absorbed into the skin nicely. This is my new must-have!

This product is great for dry or chapped hands - especially after a bath or shower. However, it's somewhat greasy, so put it on at night with gloves or before watching some TV, otherwise it will get rubbed off. I've noticed a positive difference with my hands.

I was suggested this by a sales representative when I told her I had dry and sometimes cracked skin on my hands. She told me that this is used by hospital professionals as they wash their hands a lot and use antibacterial serums. This is the only lotion that keeps my hands nourished even through lots of washing. A little goes a long way, and the lotion works, so I don't mind the [$]price tag. I just wish this came in a tube instead of a tub!

I love Helping Hands because of it's very subtle, barely-there smell. I work in the medical field and strong scents are frowned upon around patients, so this cream is ideal for use at work when my skin gets dry after wearing gloves or using hand sanitizer. I can honestly say that I would have awful, dry, cracked skin without this wonderful cream. I highly recommend it!

This cream is like magic. I work in health care and am constantly washing my hands with soap & water or with isagel...add the fact that it's a very harsh winter in Saskatchewan, and I pretty much set a world record for the most dry and chapped hands. I bought this stuff just yesterday and already my hands feel as smooth as a baby's bottom. Seriously worth the [$]. It is a tad greasy when you first apply it, but after a few minutes it's fine. I also love that it is unscented (which is necessary with my job). It has a bit of a smell to it from the essential oils, but has not had any scents added to it. Also lasts through quite a few hand-washings. :)

I run a bakery, and one of the worst parts of the job is the constant hand-washing with a PAINFULLY strong anti-bacterial soap. On busy days my skin usually cracks on the tops of my hands, since I have dry skin to begin with. We can't keep hand cream at work, but as soon as I get home I slather this bad boy on, and my hands are instantly soothed. I typically apply it once or twice a night, and it erases all the damage I have done that day. It absorbs surprisingly quickly and leaves some residue, but its more like a barrier than a greasy mess.

I know there's a Lush smell for everyone, but unfortunately this stuff is not the smell for me. Luckily the smell doesn't linger as long as the softness.

I have eczema, so a good hand moisturizer is a must. I used this every night, and didn't need to moisturize again during the day. It did a great job, and kept my hands soft. It also absorbs pretty quickly. The only downside to me is that it has parabens, and I don't use products with parabens (didn't realize it when I bought it). If you don't mind parabens, then this is a great product. I use the solid moisturizers now instead, they are paraben free.

I was given this hand cream as a gift and now cannot live without it! I live in a dry climate and have had excema on my hands since childhood

so they are exceptionally dry and get painful cracks on my fingertips, especially in winter.

This cream is soothing and moisturizing and has longer lasting effect than any other I have tried.

I bought this because I needed a hand moisturizer to keep in my desk at work. In the store, the scent wasn't too appealling, but didn't seem overpowering, so I thought it would be a good tradeoff as long as it kept my hands moisturized.

Unfortunately, outside the store, I found the scent to be even stronger and more pungent. To make matters worse, this cream doesn't even moisturize that well. It's better than nothing, but leaves much to be desired.

Get Handy Gurugu instead!

I received this as a sample during the summer and quite enjoy it! The back of my hands get uber dry in the winter, and this works well to soften them right up. My only complaint is that it does feel quite greasy though on the palms of my hands where the skin isn't as dry. Still, when this pot runs out I will likely go get another! :)

I was using Smitten at first and wanted to try something new, so the sales lady sold me this. I think that it takes forever to absorb and leaves everything greasy that you touch. This is not ideal for me because I use the computer a lot at work and ends up leaving my keys greasy. I also noticed once it is almost absorbed, it has a sort of grainy feeling to it. I am going to try others but I may go back to Smitten.
