I got a sample of this hand cream. My hands are always dry, especially at work, so I brought the little container with me... Well it did wonders to my hands! The smell is definitely different, but it grew on me, and I am in love with it! It made me hands and nails feel nourished and soft.

This lotion has a very similar scent to that of the Volcano foot mask. It wasn't my favourite Lush lotion, I do prefer Helping Hands. But my mother who's hands crack from over-drying did see some great moisturizing results from this product. I had no trouble using it up quickly.

If you like the scent of Squeaky Green solid shampoo bar then you'll love the smell of this excellent moisturising cream. I bought it because I had dry winter hand and fell in love with it.

I have extremely dry, flakey, chapped hands in the winter time. I got this as a gift and just fell in love with it. It smells devine and leaves my skin soft like velvet. I wish they would make more products with this clean scent!

There are certain Lush scents I go crazy over, while most others are just okay. I smelled this in the store and was instantly hooked. To me it smells like a strange combo of Grass shower gel, Dirty hair cream, and a hint of Jungle. I love the grassy-earthy smell. The smell is VERY strong which is great if you love the scent but if you find the smell off-putting it will linger all day. This is one of those products that you need to go to the store and try out first. The smell is something people would either love or hate. The texture is wonderful, very light and creamy. A little goes a long way. I use it on my hands and feet, usually before bed.

I quite loved how fast this absorbs! No greasy hands, and it's moisturizing enough to fight Canadian winter dryness. The only con for me is the smell. Its not that its bad (it smells exactly like Squeaky Green shampoo), but I prefer the Smitten or Helping Hands. This smell is close to baby powder, which always makes me gag

My skin felt smooth and supple after using it before bed for the first time! At first, I thought that it had a weird floral/herbal scent, but after a few days I began to fall in love with the scent! This hand cream is light weight and provides the same level of moisture as a much thicker hand cream. I like that this hand cream is natural and doesn't contain many chemicals that are impossible to pronounce. I highly recommend this product to anyone that suffers from any skin problems.

Use sparingly, otherwise you will have greasy hands.

I am nursing student and work in healthcare...and this product heals my sore Isagel hands! I never thought any product would help with that!

I have tried SO many different hand creams to help with my eczema, basically every single one you can buy at the drugstore! If you have eczema, BUY THIS CREAM! It wont prevent it obviously, but it is so lovely, an amazing moisturizer, it really sinks in, you can feel it working!

I only had a small sample of this (just ran out)! A I actually bought the Dream Cream for my hands. It works well but I think I will keep it as a body moisturizer, for which it works very well! My hand need extra nourishment though so I am going to go buy the biggest pot of this stuff they have today! If you have eczema please do try this, go and get a sample at least, so you can see how well this works before forking out for it!

I bought this yesterday because I've been having a hard time with dry hands. The cream is amazing and I can feel a significant difference in texture (my hands are pretty rough and well worked). At first I thought the smell was insanely overwhelming and totally off-putting (very "grandma"), and I thought I'd never want to buy this again. But I've been using it throughout the day today and the smell is strangely starting to grow on me. It almost has a faint matcha scent to it that is definitely an acquired scent. I kind of like it!

So I am writing a review based on my boyfriend's use of this:

He loves it!

It has almost a cologne smell to it so it doesn't emasculate him and it works well with sea salt to help his poor cracked and dry skin (he works construction)

I have very sensitive skin, especially on my hands where it results in cracks and dry skin no matter what the season. I use handy gurugu as a daily moisturizer and i keep it in my backpack at all times. I find it absorbs quickly and goes on lightly but still gives me the deep moisturization my hands really need.



Not everyone loves the smell, but i think it smells amazing. Like nothing iv ever smelled before, but at the same tim reminds me of the comforts of home and faintly of my grandmother which is no bad thing lol

It's a very heavy, long lasting handcream. It's so thick you can probably use it on your feet. The only downside is that it takes a while for it to not feel so icky. And ugh, the smell...it smells like old lady and the plastic from a barbie. But if you can ignore that, this cream really does the job.

The best handcream I have ever used, hands down. Strong enough to use as a foot cream too, but it sinks in weighlessly after a minute or two. Absolutely awesome! I use it in the winter and the summer. It doesn't have a sickly sweet smell or a very strong flowery scent like some hand creams, so I never get sick of it. I LOVE it! Highly recommended.

My hands take a beating during the day, so I was interested in something that would really get in and moisturize them. While this cream does do that, I found it to be really heavy and sticky if applied straight to dry hands. If my skin is damp, it absorbs much better. The scent on it is also a bit too strong.

I've never been much for hand creams as most I have tried are very greasy and have super-slow absorption time. With this lotion, a little bit goes a long way and sinks in almost instantly. I even use some on my face! Handy Gurugu is the greatest!

I got this cream after being less than satisfied with my pot of Helping Hands. I wouldn't describe the smell as bad, but it is definitely unique, and I can see how it might not be appealing to some. The smell also sticks around - I put the cream on before bed, and my pjs and sheets definitely start to take on the scent.



I have found that it's a great moisturizer, and the cracks in my knuckles that the winter normally brings have yet to appear.



However, a note of caution - this cream has lots of nut butters, so those that work with or have young children, especially those with confirmed food allergies, should be very careful about their use of Handy Gurugu.

I bought Handy Gurugu out of desperation; every winter my hands crack and bleed from November-March. No other vegan hand creams have stopped this.



The first time I tried this was on a cold winter's morning before braving the cold to go shopping. An hour later I could still smell it and was sure everyone around me could, too - and I find it a very unpleasant smell. Not a smell I could stand on a regular basis. I thought I'd wasted my money since I've never encountered a hand cream that works without regular application throughout the day.



I was wrong! I started just using this at bedtime, and even without using any other hand creams during the day, my hands have been soft and moisturized all this winter! Not a single crack, no pain - and my house is actually measuring drier than ever before! I can't stress enough how amazing this product is. Even with the unpleasant smell (which doesn't bother me at bedtime, anyway), I have to give it 5 stars. Incredible!
