I bought this after reading it was the only effective product used by people who've tried everything. I don't sweat alot, I was looking for an effective odor control and my dry pits got moist after 15 minutes. Smells okay, but it's very ordinary and not worth the money.

I marked this as 5-stars, even if it does need a little bit of getting used to.

To be honest, my boyfriend and I share this stuff. He can be as greasy as a frypan after a hard day's work, but just by putting this on, he smells GOOD and isn't as sweaty!

On me, well, I don't think LUSH will be able to make Gov'ner not leave a black residue - that's pretty much the only downside, but depending on how much you disperse and how often you apply, it isn't a big deal (at least not to me, but I apply twice a day).

As I said before: we both use it. We have had ours for a month now and are only done a third of the bottle. Ridiculous, right!? I'm impressed!

I use a powder puff and just poof it on. I find that if I use my fingers, I get it all over them and in turn, on my clothes.

Best natural deodorant (and a light antiperspirant) I have ever tried! Oh, and I have really sensitive skin, and it still works like a charm.

It works amazingly! I put it on once in the morning and it works all day long! REALLY! I honestly perspire alot, and Im always looking for a new antiperspirant since mine never seem to last long plus my skin is sensitive. So I tried Lush's new guvner and its amazing! Only cons I have to say is the colour and odd smell but its worth it! The smell can be dealt with and the colour is only bad when you first put it on.

I went to lush to pick up Coconut deodorant powder to pair up with another natural deodorant I use that just wasn't cutting it. I ended up leaving with the Guv'ner at the service representative's suggestion and I am so happy that I did! This deodorant is awesome! I have such a hard time finding a natural deodorant that provides great odor control, and this one does it! I sweat easily, and still make it through the entire day without any odor. ( I am using this deodorant on its own... not pairing it with my other less effective one.) It is a bit messy to apply, but the effectiveness of this deodorant definitely outweighs that, and I will continue to us it. Thank you Lush!

This actually works! I can hardly believe it. It has a nice smell but not overpowering. I usually put on a salt crystal deodorant (which never works on its own) followed by this when my pits are dry and it works all day. I work hard and sweat a lot and rarely need to reapply Guv'ner later in the day. Not only do I not stink but I stay quite dry as well. I have armpit hair so I can speak for how it would work on shaven folks but on me it works like a charm. This is definitely the most effective deodorant I've ever used.

This is also great cos I have mostly black or dark clothes, so the darker powder doesn't show up on them. I might be scared to wear it with a white tank though.

I bought this the last visit I had to Lush last week (amongst other stuff, lol) and I use Aromarant first then instead of Greeench I used this product here. Just a warning, it is dark greyish black from the charcoal. The smell isn't fantastic, but I didn't buy it for that. I does absorb some wetness or I should say it absorbs better than Greeench, but doesn't stop wetness totally. I don't use it if I'm wearing something of a light colour just in case the colour rubs off on my clothes. I will continue using it and see how well it works for me.

I'm in school for massage therapy. On a day of manual training, we spend approximately two - four hours actually massaging in a warm room. I've tried this several times and always end up smelly. The sales rep told me she also was in school for massage therapy, wore it to a clinic day (when we have class and do clinic massage in the evening), played a game of soccer then went out and still smelled good. I just went to class and smelled like body odour and not like the gov'ner. Unless the gov'ner was a stinky massage therapist.

Overall: This product may work for people who don't sweat, do manual labour, or for people who sit at a desk all day and then come home and do not go to the gym/exercise. It's grainy, leaves black smudges on anything light coloured, and tends to smell like pepper rather than other spices.
