I am still undecided as to whether or not I like this product. Really it is no match for the Big Tease (which I really really really hope finds its way back someday). Not sure if I will buy it again because of the tackiness of it. Also the scent is just OK/not my fav.

I like how it holds - very strong and lasting, but I don't like how sticky it leaves my hair throughout the day. I also have very thick, straight hair and it makes my hair even thicker, which I don't need. I also don't like the thick and pasty consistency.

I loved how the Big Tease would hold my hair, but soften up and not feel sticky as the day went on - almost seeming like magic because my hair was still styled great but felt like there was nothing in there. I was unable to find anything like it before or since it was discontinued. I'm very bummed. I also much preferred the thinner water-based consistency of The big Tease.

Overall Dirty Hair is a good product, but it's not unique and I have found similarly effective past-like substances that are cheaper and easier to acquire (don't have to go to the mall). Hopefully some day The Big Tease will again find it's way to my bathroom sink.

I've never been one to use hair products aside form shampoo/conditioner. When I cut my hair suuuper short, I found that the only way to achieve the desired texture I wanted from my cut was to use styling products! Since my scalp and skin were so sensitive, I dared not use anything from a drugstore or salon! Luckily, my brother had some Dirty styling cream lying around, so I took a bit and WOW! I fell in love and it is all I've been using since.
First of all, I love the smell. It smells soft, musky but also a bit sweet. It is not overpowering in the slightest.
Secondly, it is very easy use. I scoop a little onto my index finger, rub it between my palms and run my hands through my hair. Be careful not to use too much since it will make your hair look chunky and greasy! But it isn't anything some water can't fix. :) It is easier to add more later than to take away the excess!
This isn't a con, however find I have to wash my hands after applying because of how sticky it is when it dries on skin.
Thirdly, while the texture of my hair after applying the product isn't silky smooth by any means (my partner can tell I have it in my hair when he touches it), my hair is still pliable, soft and holds my desired textured look all day. I'm not afraid to go to bed with the product in my hair. It doesn't irritate my scalp nor the skin on my face.

The only reason I did not give this product a five star rating is that, sometimes, it feels like the cream has totally disappeared from my hair by the end of the day. However, this can be due to some human error and/or environmental reasons, ie. not applying the right amount, touching my hair too often, and the rain/wind.

umm...wow! This is by far the best hair cream I have ever used. I have gone through about 12 different brands, and this is number one. Strong hold and great smell! Watch out boys, the girls will be all over you

I used this right in the shower. Take a little, rub it in palms then scrunch my hair.
I did let it air dry for a few minutes before diffusing to finish off. It left my hair exactly how I like it, lots of volume, defined curls and smelling great.

I probably used too much as my hair has a bit of a dirty feel, but I can live with that if I can have definition in my curl.

the texture is different than anything I have seen before as it's more of a whip than a cream.

I have thick straight hair that does not style very well - consequently I have to use firm-hold products to get the look I want. I have used The Big Tease, which has a nice, heady, exotic smell, but I find I cannot use it in a closed-office environment, due to some people having sensitivities to odours. This new gel is very soft, has a delicate, herbally smell, goes in very easily and holds my hair in place without any "crunch". It keeps my hair soft and touchable while maintaining style all day long. I would definitely recommend this product!

I have course, wavy hair that likes to curl up in cowlicks in the back. I have tried about a thousand different products to make my e behave -- this is the only one that works the way I want it to!

I put a little in my hands and smooth it through wet hair. Also good for refreshing your style later in the day. It's not heavy or greasy, as are other products. Its easy to wash out (unlike R&B from Lush). Holds waves nicely.

Only odd thing is the smell... It smells unnatural, like something at a dentist or doctors office. That's the only thing I didn't like.

I got this product as a sample and i figured i would give it a whirl it was a little bit heavier then i anticipated but its hold style really well i have pretty short hair and it helped me get so much volume out of my hair i was amazed and it holds without looking to greasy or gel like would definitly recommend to people with short hair gals or guys! OH and how i used it i ran it thru my towel dried hair then blow dried my hair dry and then i used a straightener since my hair is curly and i wear it straight 24/7! will DEFINITELY be buying the full size when my sample jar runs out!!

I use this product as soon as I get out of the shower so that i can spread it evenly throughout my hair. I lightly scrunch afterwards, let my hair dry naturally and I have perfect curls for the day.

Try to place the product on the ends of your hair, because it tends to get a little sticky around the scalp.

I used the hair gel this morning after my shower and my style stayed all day!! It even lasted through my dinner date in the evening! totally a repurch.
