I've always loved different types of mint scents, so finding this was great! It's best to use in the morning, since mint wakes you up. It makes me feel so clean and refreshed. The only issue I had with it was that the wax was a pain to peel off at first, but once I got a bit it all came off in one big strip!

I got this as a sample in my last order, and when I went to try it, it smelled soo good! I'm a fan of spearmint and mint in general so i was really excited, plus it looks really cool. However I went to try it and although it lathers nice and feels nice going on my skin, it feels terrible once i wash it off. It leaves a grippy, sticky, not very nice residue and I found that I had to wash myself again with a different soap to get that clean feel. I don't know why, and I was disappointed cause everything else seemed great but I don't like feeling like plastic coming out of my showers.

As a girl I find it to be a bit musky but it is nice on my boyfriend. For boys not so Lush involved though the wax is not the most user friendly. Our batch in partiulcar did not peel off easily so we cut it off. Once the apples are exposed it does not last very long, or at least it's pleasant earthy scent doesn't- becomes very rotten very quick. Made the mistake of throwing it in the same tin holding my body butter...bad accident! But in fresh small batches it is a nice twist.

I love the scent, I love how it cleans my skin, I love how you feel when you come out of the shower. You're fresh and clean and your skin is so soft. This soap does not moisturize but does leave your skin soft nonetheless. The only thing I don't like is the strip of black wax they put along one side of the soap, lol.

I went into Lush to find some soaps for my boyfriend to try. He works night shifts and is always complaining about being sleepy. I went in and asked the Lush associate what are some good soaps to try to give someone energy :) She gave me three free samples to have my boyfriend try. The Demon in the Dark was one of the three.

The scent was pleasant. I love the minty smell and the color of the bar itself was absolutely breath0taking (a work of art my boyfriend called it!)

When he came out of the shower he smelled wonderful! He told me to give it a try and so I did. It lathered well and the smell was amazing! I was surprised at how long the smell stayed through out the day.

He has not tried any of the other soap samples yet but I can tell this is the one he is going to choose in the end!

I love this stuff! I was looking for something that would hydrate my skin which gets extremely dry and irritating for a few hours right after I shower. When I told the Lush salesperson I was dealing with (who was an absolute sweetheart), she recommended another soap that I haven't tried yet but Demons did the trick! I bought it for the smell which is wonderfully intoxicating and it did the trick on my skin as a bonus. I got a roughly 100g slice (the salesperson asked me if I wanted her to remove the wax so I wouldn't know if that's much of a con or not) and it lasted me three months.

My one problem with this stuff is that the scent never lasted that long after I used it! I was heartbroken because the bar itself is so strongly scented.
Would buy again.

I am a huge fan of anything minty, so it was a toss up between buying this soap and ice blue. Luckily for me I couldn't smell the ice blue very well that day and the Demon in the dark just stood out for me. I mean look at that name also it sounds so bad and tough!

I love this soap. I would use this for the rest of my life as my one and only soap. The smell is so strong and powerful in the shower and I was worried it would be really powerful on my skin. But it smelled minty in the shower and on my skin it mostly smelled like apples.

I really had no problem with this soap. It has lasted me FOREVER! I just make sure I take it out of the shower after each use (that way the water doesn't wear it away)

The only negative I would say which isn't really a negative is the black wax. I have to pay for the weight of my soap, including the black wax that I just throw away. It just seems like a waste.

This is a great soap to use when you're sick (the lady at LUSH when I bought it told me she uses it for that purpose). The mint in it helps to clear out your nostrils when you have a cold. However, this is a difficult soap to use, as the wax is very hard to peel off, and if you don't get it completely off, the soap won't lather at all. I also discovered that if the wax is not removed, it can stick to the bottom of the shower, and will require the use of a scraper to remove it.

I have nothing bad to say about Demon in the Dark. Very nice soap. Good for sharing. Smells great but the scent is soft enough that I never get sick of it; it's not overwhelming, just pleasant, not to mention unisex. Feels lovely on the skin; makes you a big tingly and doesn't dry you out. Definitely one of my favourites for everyday use.
The wax layer probably helps it last a bit longer too, if you don't cut it off.

This soap is the ultimate soap for a man. It smells great, cleans amazing and lathers like a pro. It also lasts long if you keep it on a soap tray with holes.



It's truly an instant classic & keeper and I've been using it for years. One of the few soaps with a more masculine scent it's great for every day use in the shower.

Soooo yummy!!! I love the color, smell and ingrdients! For those freaking about the wax. It's not that hard to just slice it off when you get it home! You can use a knife dropped in warm water to get it off easier. Two complaints though. 1- It doesn't lather well. I wish it did so I could have the rich lathery smell of it all over! 2- I expected to have little pieces of mint in it, to some it's probably a good thing but I was very excited for my chunky spearmint soap! ;) Well done LUSH!!!

If I had to pick just one soap to use for the rest of my life, this would be it. It smells so good, it can wake me up in the mornings, or calm me down in the evenings, its warming when I'm cold, and cooling when I'm hot. It's basically a magical soap that knows just what I need.



Mint has always been a favorite of mine, and the cloves add a nice zing as well as exfoliating my skin, the apple juice I wouldn't have guessed had I not read the ingredients but it works!



It doesn't make alot of lather or bubbles when you use it, but I don't think it has too, I think it works just right. It gets you clean you don't have to wash the same bits over and the bar lasts almost forever. I ordered I think 8 bars last Christmas, and I've still one left now, and its just as fresh as when I first ordered it.



The mint smell sticks around too, not in an overpowering way, but enough that you can smell it, which is just how I like it.



In short, this might be a demon, but its moonlighting as an angel for my skin.

When I first tried Demon in the dark, I fell in love with it. The only thing is that it doesn't lather up as much as I would love it too, but cleans beautifully.

I love this soap! I usually buy the sweet smelling stuff but when I smelled this I knew I had to buy it. It very minty with a hint of apple at the end which I love, it wakes me up for those early morning days and it lathers really well compared to most soaps or body washes I've used. The only downside is that black wax around it. It's easier to peel off wet than dry I've learned...I lot a good chunk of my soap from peeling off the wax when it wet lol.
