Q:Are the ingredients in this Cleanser safe to use if I have a septic. I'm thinking the charcoal in particularAsked on 6/24/2015 by B
A:Good news! All of our products are safe for septic systems.Answered on 6/30/2015 by Coley from LUSH Direct
A:I'm definitely not a plumber by day, but it seems to me that the amount of
Dark Angels you would use (a pea sized amount), and the frequency by which
you would use it (a couple times a week), would be a very negligible amount
in your septic system. BUT! I would ask a professional septic service
technician if you're really, really worried about it.Answered on 6/25/2015 by Kimmie from Tallahassee
Q:I just love the smell, and I'm wondering if theres a body scrub/smothie/cream/etc. with the same (or very similar) smell ??Asked on 4/23/2015 by The Laziest Indulger from Sudbury, ON
A:Dark Angels gets it's particular scent from the charcoal it contains. Guv'ner is the product with the closest scent to Dark Angels.Answered on 4/26/2015 by Myriam from LUSH Digital

Q:A few questions:
1. I have dry skin but this winter it's been breaking out in red, painful whiteheads here & there, so would this be ok for me to use or would it dry me out even more?
2. Since it contains activated charcoal can I use this as a mask?
3. Can this product tint light skin?
Thanks in advance!Asked on 1/2/2014 by Ivaiva from Toronto
A:If you are finding your skin is on the drier side it is probably best to go with a cleanser that is geared more towards drier skin. Fresh Farmacy is a really nice choice, or if you prefer the fresh cleansers, Aqua Marina might be a nice one. We do not suggest using Dark Angels as a mask, as it is intended to be rinsed off right away. While the product does not tint the skin, it is very dark so it is important to ensure that all of the residue is rinsed off to prevent any remaining charcoal from being visible.Answered on 3/19/2014 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
I'm Lyndsey. If you have dry skin I'd consider using Fresh Farmacy or Aqua Marina. They both have calamine and help sooth your skin and they're both designed to help target blemishes. The essential oils will help moisturize your face as well. Aqua Marina has a similar consistency to Dark angels, so that one you'd be able to use as a mask. I think Dark angels will dry your skin out more because of the activated charcoal. And for your final question, no, it doesn't tint light skin. You just need to use lots of warm water to wash it off.
I hope this helps!

Q:How often can I use this on my face?Asked on 9/4/2012 by Kati from Winnipeg, MB
A:Most people will find Dark Angels gentle enough to use daily to help tame oiliness, but if you prefer to use it a few times a week that's perfectly fine as well! Everyone's skin is different, so if you find that your skin is becoming too dry, just try using it a little less frequently until you've found a good balance for you!Answered on 11/2/2012 by Brandy from LUSH
