Q:Will this shampoo help maintain silver/gray dyed hair ? Will it help with color protection ?Asked on 7/5/2015 by Gabbe from Ottawa, Canada
A:Daddy-O is designed to diminish brassiness from blonde and silver hair types. If you want to enhance the silver than I would give this one a go!Answered on 7/9/2015 by Kels from LUSH Direct
A:Yes! Daddy-O was actually designed with silver/grey hair in mind! However, it is not great with color protection. What this shampoo is doing is keeping your color nice and bright and clarified - but your color will still fade and you'll need to maintain it with touch-ups. However, if your hair is a great growing force of nature, you'll probably be touch-ups on your roots anyway. I would say that you should try a small bottle of Daddy-O and see how it works with your hair color, if you find it causing it to fade too fast, maybe try a different shampoo from LUSH with moisture in mind. I know there are a few that folks with dyed hair rave about and swear it keeps their color longer. And And Daddy-O is really great, but there is lemon in it, so that may cause some fading of color over time. It will really depend on how often you wash your hair and what works best for you!Good luck!Answered on 7/6/2015 by BrisusCheez from EST USA
Q:Can I use daddy o on brown hairqAsked on 6/16/2015 by Daphne from Chatham, On
A:Yes, you can definitely use Daddy-O on darker hair. It's clarifying shampoo so it will really help clean your hair.Answered on 6/19/2015 by Pauline
A:Yes! Daddy-o is great for blondes AND brunettes! It is a clarifying shampoo, but not one that "dyes" hair. You may notice some lightening, but a lot less than bleach or peroxide. I haven't noticed any dramatic highlights myself, but I notice my hair is very clean and shiny and I love the smell of violets! Good luck and enjoy!Answered on 6/16/2015 by BrisusCheez from EST USA
A:Yes it works well on mine - cleans and shines without drying out.

Q:I have dark brown hair and I dyed it to black( really black) and highlighted it to blonde by bleaching it. The highlights turned to very orangey. Does this shampoo helps to tone the bleached hair to blonde?Asked on 1/11/2015 by Serena from Vancouver, BC
A:Daddy-O will help tone down the brassiness in the blonde parts of your hair, but it won't actually change the color. If your hair was initially dyed to an orange-y color, it isn't likely that Daddy-O will change it, as it is more of a preventative measure to keep the brassiness out.Answered on 2/15/2015 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
A:It is a great shampoo that will keep natural hair - blonde or grey - from turning yellow or orange - not sure about dyed hair

Q:Since using Daddy o I have noticed that I have an itchy scalp and an allergy rash on the inside of my thigh. I get the rash on my thighs and the backs of my elbows whenever I come into prolonged contact with chrome or nickel. Does this product have any known allergens in it? Especially metals?Asked on 8/28/2013 by sarah from bristol, United Kingdom
A:We list all of the ingredients we use on the products themselves, as well as in stores, on our website, and in our catalogs so we definitely recommend consulting the listings if there are ingredients you are sensitive to.Answered on 10/28/2013 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
Q:Is this product only for blondes or grays? I have brown hair and bought a bottle recently. Guess I was more focused on the "shine" part of the product's description.Asked on 2/16/2012 by LUSH Crush from Bathurst, NB
A:The Daddy-O was originally designed to help minimize yellow, brassy notes in gray or blonde hair, but that said, it can definitely be used by people with other hair colours to soften the hair on account of the beautiful seaweed infusions, as well as the shine enhancers like fresh lemon and lime!Answered on 2/17/2012 by Megan from LUSH
