A shampoo that cleans like no other. Your head gets that feeling your mouth gets after you brush your teeth.
As a natural blonde, I can tell you that this product will make your hair even lighter. It's sort of like the sunshine-effect in a bottle.
Cynthia adds an incredible softness to my hair. I can't stop touching it!
While this is a superb shampoo, I only use it every few days. I have hair that's somewhere above fine and just south of medium, so a strong shampoo like Cynthia is a bit harsh for me to use every day. Cynthia is also a bit difficult to wash out. Really work the water through though, and it's great!
It also has a slightly bitter smell. But that's barely noticeable in your hair, and isn't that what perfume's for?

When I decided to buy this I had only ever purchased one product from Lush before, a bar soap. I'm in the process of bringing my hair back to its natural blonde from bottle back. The years of dying it black combined with the initial bleaching and dying to bring it to where it is now (light brown) have been extremely hard on my hair and it is very fluffy, frizzy, and damaged. I've used this shampoo with the Retread conditioner for two washes now, and the results have been amazing. After I blow dry my hair its half as big as it used to be, and straightening it is much faster that before. Even though it tames and gives my hair weight, it doesn't make it prematurely greasy, like other products that make similar anti frizz claims. I personally love the scent, and I've got compliments on how great my hair smells. Overall, Lush really hit the nail on the head here. My hair is shiny and full of life again, and so much more manageable. Thank you, thank you, and thank you again!

I bought a small bottle after reading some reviews about the smell I was a little worried. I used a quarter sized amount on my scalp and the same amount on my ends and my hair looks AMAZINGGG! First time ever that I haven't needed to use conditioner!!! This shampoo left my hair so soft and shiny. The smell is not even THAT bad. Usually my hair is frizzy and full of fly aways but seriously, it looks like i just left the salon and all I did was wash it and comb it when i got out of the shower. Worth every penny.

I got a sample of this stuff and man did it lather! My curls are usually pretty gross by the time I give in and wash them, but this stuff got right in there!

A friend who works at Lush suggested I give this a try because I have curly, frizzy and THICK hair. I was pretty skeptical because the smell really turned me off and I personally have never used such a liquidy shampoo before but it WORKS! I need something to weigh down all this hair and it does the trick! Not to mention the shine and softness it adds. Paired with American Cream and c'est magnifique!

I use Cynthia Sylvia Stout about 3 times a week and I love how shiny my hair gets. I've had several compliments on the shine. It smells great and lathers wonderfully. My boyfriend's friend used it and now he loves it too! Has to be pretty special for a guy to admit he likes it. This is my favorite shampoo of all time. Now if only Cynthia would make a nice conditioner to go with it.....

I was weary about the smell and how some people said it weighed down your hair. I don't know what they were thinking but I have frizzy thin hair that doesn't seem to know if it wants to be curly, wavy, or straight. This shampoo cuts down styling time with both the dryer AND straightener. It's smooth and lush and you can tell the difference RIGHT AWAY!! No need for smoothing creams or like products. I use this in conjuction with a shampoo bar or with BIG- sea salt shampoo for extra lift. I am so happy with lush products that I've permantly switched and don't use anything but. I definately recommend this for people with frizzy hair that can't be tamed.

PS- my hair is surprisingly humidity resistant throughout a rainy day, could be the shampoo ;)

Normally I am a simple Head and Shoulders type of girl. Nothing special, nothing strong. This shampoo has reformed me entirely.
1) My hair stays dandruff free for days after use, even if I sweat, unlike with Head and Shoulders.
2) My hair is super soft and super shiny after using it, even though I just dyed my hair.
3) My mixed between wavy and straight hair stays straight with this, without having to use a blowdryer or flat iron.

The only downside is the scent is a bit strong, and masculine for my liking, but I'm willing to deal with that because my hair is so silky and straight and awesome.

I tried a small bottle of this, but did not like the smell. It lingered in my hair all day. I have thick, coarse, frizzy hair. I have no complaints about this product other than its smell. If I liked the smell, I would buy it again. If you like the smell of beer, this shampoo may just be the thing you are searching for.

I'm not much of a beer drinker, but I do like the smell of this stuff. Unfortunately, the smell alone isn't enough to warm me up to this one. It's a fantastic clarifying shampoo, but it works so well that it dries out my hair and weighs it down too much. Now that I've found I Love Juicy, I'll be using that one instead.

I was skeptical about this shampoo but totally loved the outcome after one simple wash. I have curly hair which goes out of control and usually needs a conditionner in order to be suitable, and with this, I only use the shampoo and can manage my hair really well.

Gives my hair nice curls, and shine when I straighten it, along with good hydratation. The smell needs a little getting used to, but my boyfriend loves it haha.

I tried the product today the shampoo feels light and clean in the hair, then i used the american cream conditoner makes your hair soft and clean it took awhile to comb my curly hair the scalp feels relaxed and not itchy or dry... then I used the R&B and the curls look more defined and hair is so soft and shinny and full of body.

I was initially skeptical about Lush shampoo products, as I had not used any before. Cynthia Sylvia Stout is a great shampoo for anyone suffering from frizz in a humid environment. I have thick medium-length hair and I find this stuff works great. I haven't noticed a significant increase in shine, but I have noticed enhanced volume (used 3 times so far). Though it does help with the frizz, I still need a bit of wax to keep it in place. I live on north Vancouver Island and it's super humid up here.

Great product, will recommend!

I use this shampoo to perk up my hair when it looks dull and feels too frizzy or puffy.

It gives me shine and puts a little weight on the hair. I don't use it often so that my hair does not lose its volume. This smells like stout and lemons and the scent definitely sticks around. When I'm not using this for my hair I'm actually using it to cleanse my makeup brushes. The clients seem to like it and my brushes look and perform like new!

I can't even use any other shampoo now. My hair is perfect and if I try anything else, I'm always disappointed. It weighs my hair down quite a bit (in a good way) so I can't imagine it working very well for people who want more volume.

I have a 4 year old with gorgeous, straight, fine, blonde hair. When I was combing it the other day, I noticed flakes. Lots of flakes. Upon closer inspection, it looked an awful lot like the cradle cap she used to get when she was a baby. Gross (sorry honey, but it was). I was at LUSH picking up some tuca tuca solid perfume and the LUSH staff gave us a sample of Cynthia Stout. I'm already a BIG fan so I used this sample on my flake ridden child. I figure, I can't drink beer so might as well put it to use somewhere else. Two days later (one stout hairwashing a day), and the scaley, dandruffy, waxy garbage is GONE!!!!

I was recommended this shampoo by an associate in your toronto airport location, and I have fallen completely in love with it! My scalp has been on the dry side lately and this shampoo has made it stop being so itchy. It keeps my hair smooth and shiny, and when used with your American Cream conditioner my hair stays beautiful for days after washig. Very happy to have discovered this product. And the smell! Delicious beer and lemons are a great way to wake up.

Okay. It's just undescribably good. The smell doesn't bother me at all, actually the veganese or jungle quite beats it. Which I think is bad, because it's a very lovely warm smell, doesn't smell like alcohol that much when it's lathered.



My hair is in seventh heaven. So soft, silky, smooth, touchable and SHINY! I even discovered the undertones of my hair I didn't even know they were there! I noticed some reddish undertones in my usually very dark brown hair. No grease! No tangles. Just silky wonderful delight. Can't get any better.



I AM SO HAPPY!



I condition with veganese or jungle. I'm gonna try Jasmine & Henna fluff-ease though it's pricey, because I can't stop loving my hair. And Lush.



I have to admit I was sceptical before about Lush's Hair Care Products because my previous shampoo was BIG - it wasn't for me, was too harsh and tangled my hair. This is a remedy after Big :)
