I love this product. It is gentle on Curly Hair and lathers well. I live in Alberta, the long dry winters can be hard on curly hair. Its a heavy shampoo and doesnt lather well if used direcly on hair. I usually mix a little of the shampoo with water evenly and then apply the mixture to my hair, then it lathers well. If you have applied ultrabalm in your hair, it wont lather at all. It reallt brings our the curls ans makes my hair shiny too. If you have curly hair, use this once a week and you hair will love you. If you live in a humid, hot climate, this may be very heavy on the hair. Overall good to use once a week for great soft curls.

This is my first time using a shampoo from lush, and while I gotta say I love their products and will definitly continue to buy from them, Curly Wurly is not the shampoo best for me. This shampoo was a bit difficult to lather, did not help with tangles, left my hair frizzy and the coconut pieces get all over my shower/bath tub. I'm going to try other shampoos from Lush until I find the one best for me

One of my favourite shampoos from Lush. Nice and hydrating without making hair oily. My only complaint is that the little coconut chunks can sometimes be hard to get out of your hair but with the help of veganese conditioner it's not a big problem.

- the cleaning agents in this one are a lot less harsh than in the solid shampoos (my scalp can feel it!)
- It actually helped define some curls which is always good
- Definitely adds volume
- Hair feels more soft
- There is definitely more moisture in this than other shampoos, but I still had to add conditioner to my hair just for extra moisture.

But I just can't get over the smell! Every time I walk into my bathroom, the smell just hits me in the face. Thankfully, my hair didn't hold onto the smell as much once it dried.

And there really isn't any use to the coconut flakes; they're kind of a bother I think.

This product lathers well...once you have mixed it thorough fully! I learned it the wrong way. The first 3/4 of the pot, I didn't like this shampoo because it didn't lather and I didn't feel like it was cleaning my hair. When I reached the last 1/4, I found that the "lathering portion" of the product has separated and gathered at the bottom. I finally liked this shampoo and it washed by hair perfectly afterwards! Even if its supposed to be a conditioning shampoo, I still use a conditioner afterwards. I suggest that if you have oily hair, you should be fine using it alone. Overall it's a great product once you have mixed it!

I love this shampoo it leaves my hair smelling great and soft and its just wonderul the only thing ive noticed if you have very curly hair the coconut chunks do stay in your hair. i was reading all the other comments who have Wavy hair that They dont have a problem with it . if you have very curly hair it will get stuck because its thick. wavy hair is almost like straight hair it will just run through your hair, thats not the case with very curly hair. But i just try to pick out the bits

I've only used Curly Wurly a couple times but I loooove it! Gorgeous coconut smell stays on hair for ages. I haven't personally had a problem with the coconut bits and the girl at the shop told me they were for a light exfoliation of the scalp, it felt like a dream to use and I just rubbed it in my hands first and got a nice lather. My hair feels gorgeous and vibrant.

I love this shampoo. It would be nice if it added a bit of volume, but I have ways around that. My curls/ waves hold together and I'm not left with frizzy hair in our west coast rain. I will be buying this product again and I'll also be using it the day of my wedding.

I love this shampoo. It lathers great with only using a little bit and it lasts a long time with daily use. The smell is very nice and lasts on my hair for a couple of days even if I use a non-coconut smelling shampoo afterwards. The chunks of coconut seem to really bother people, but for me I rinse my hair out in the bath and then I take a short shower afterwards and rinse my hair again in the shower. After that the chunks are completely gone and I've never had a problem with having any still in my hair. The scent is for coconut lovers!

I love this shampoo because it works well with my type of hair-curly, thick and dry. It smells amazing and the chunks of coconut do wonders to keep my curls soft and healthy. It's reasonably priced seeing as how you only need a little bit for each use.

I have moderately thick shoulder length asian hair. I recently got a perm which dries out your hair. Normally I get greasy hair the next day but now I'm at the other side of the spectrum. This product is great. It doesn't have an intense amount of lather but it cleans my hair. If I'm lazy I can go 3 days without washing my hair (a bit greasy by the end of the third day). The great smell stays strong but not intense the whole time! It keeps my hair moisturized without being greasy. The coconut flakes wash out when I run my fingers through my hair so there are no worries of it getting stuck in the curls.

After doing some research, this was the first product that I bought from lush and am I glad that I did! I noticed the benefits of the natural products right away when my hair became instantly softer. The smell is amazing while in the shower and stays lightly in your hair. I have wavy/frizzy hair and it gave the moisturizing effect that I look for as well. I have not had a problem with the coconut flakes staying in my hair but I use a good conditioner (the jungle bar, which compliments the smell of curly wurly well!) and if the conditioner does not get it out then brushing my hair after the shower does!
I will repurchase this product for sure!

I love curly wurly! It's great for my curly, Thick hair! It can sometimes makes my hair a little oily-er but thats ok. My hair is really oily and it can make it greasy as I said but it gives it alot of shine and body. It lathers really well if your take the amount and put it in your hand then and a little water to it then add it to your hair. It will leave a few coconut chunks but most of them will come out once you condition. If not just pick them out, it dos'nt take long.

This product is decent. I washed my hair, then ig ot ot of my shower and i had a few cocounut shavings in my hair. It took me maybe 3-4 minutes to get them out. Please lush get rid of the flakes! It was good other than that.

Long time Lush Lover...this is the first product that just did not work with my daughter's curly curly hair. I was so excited to try it, the smell was wonderful and the ladies at my Lush gushed over it. Unfortunately it encouraged more tangles even with a gentle shampooing and I spend hours trying to pick out the white bits from her thick hair. She was in tears and so was I by the end of the ordeal. I was still seeing the white pieces the next day. I am sure that this works wonderfully for some however for my girl's sweet curly biracial hair it did not.

This is it! I have found it, I need to look no further! I wasn't even shopping for shampoo today, but this was recommended to go along side the conditioner I bought and oh man am I happy I listened!I have VERY thick (think regular hair elastic will only wrap twice) hair with a half curl half wave that never co-operates. Oh and it's also frizy, clearly something in my gene pool didn't want to mix.
This stuff smells AMAZING and to anyone who says it didn't lather well or they had to use alot, they must not have been using it correctly because I didn't need a whole lot. I didn't end up with suds up to my elbows, but my hair is squeaky clean. The coconut bits wash out just fine, if you have an issue, use a comb!
Do not pass this up!

I'm not sure what I was doing with my hair before Curly Wurly, but I'm not doing it now. Hands down this is the best shampoo I have EVER used on my thick, dry, wavy hair. I'm finding my scalp is almost never oily because of this shampoo. My hair is shiny, with perfect curls and smells amazing. It doesn't lather the best, but that doesn't bother me.
The flakes are a pain, but the water pressure in my shower is quite high so that makes it much easier to rinse.
All in all this is an amazing product, and I recommend it to anyone with wavy/curly hair.

For my picky curly haired pre-schooler who hates having her hair washed, the smell of this shampoo lures her in. She gets a lot of compliments on the nice smell of her hair too. I have curly hair too, and have received comments that my hair has been healthier and shinier looking these days. The only con is it is a pain to rinse out the little bits, especially with my impatient little one.

I love this product. I have very tricky bi-racial hair that is waist lenght and tends to be very frizzy. I love the smell of this product, I love how my hair feels silky after I use it, and I love how moisturized my hair feels. I don't mind the coconut flakes as I use a wide-tooth comb in the shower as I'm rinsing rather than a brush when it's dry. I find this helps me retain curl. A pot of this lasts me a long time as I only shampoo once or twice a week.
