I finally started using this a couple nights ago (first Lush product ever, yay!) and so far I really like it! It goes on easily, and the girls at the store told me to make sure it was relatively thick before leaving it on, it washes off quite easily, smells great, and left my skin feeling softer than I've ever seen it in years. It smells a lot like chocolate, but not really at the same time, and it's not as strong as you might think. My skin is combination/oily usually, and this leaves behind no oil whatsoever. But I used the Tea Tree Water to tone before and after also. The little pot lasts about 3-6 uses depending on how thick you like your mask, so it's a great value. One of my favs!

I have very oily skin and this solves the problem. I alternate with Brazened honey. This can be used daily. Just make sure to put a light moisturizer after.

This mask is a life saver.

Before today, I had never used a mask, but this one caught my eye in the store. It smelled wonderful and when I read that it helped acne, I was sold. I washed my face and applied this mask directly after, and left it on my face for around 10 minutes. The mask was easy to rinse off (although it did leave a bit of a residue in my sink), and left my skin smelling awesome. I could almost immediately notice reduced pimple size. I have very blotchy, red skin, and a few hours after using this mask I looked in the mirror and my skin tone was even, which I can honestly say I have NEVER seen before. Easily one of my new favourite products!

I really wanted to try this face mask just because it smelled so wonderful in the little black pot! Once I got it home and applied it to my face the smell was just to much. I found that it did not do much to benefit my skin and it was very thick and hard to remove.

I just started using this a few days ago. I love it. I have combination skin and find that my skin is dry after I've washed it and then oily during the day. Using Cupcake has kept the oiliness at bay during the day. My skin is no longer shiny by 10am and it lasted throughout the day. I was just using cupcake but I went and got Dark Angels after reading a few other reviews. I have found the products that work for my skin and highly recommend anyone with oil issues to try it out.

I HATE the smell. It doesn't smell like a cupcake at all to me. It's very strong as well. When I had the mask on I had to stand on my balcony because it was making my apartment smell and my boyfriend said it was gross.

I loved how it felt going on my skin, it was nice and soothing.

After washing it off (I kept it on for 8-10 minutes) the smell really clung to my skin. My skin also felt a bit dry so I may have left it on a bit too long. After moisturizing, my skin felt great.

But the smell. Ew. Would not buy it again.

A lovely chocolate facial that leaves your skin wanting more and more! I absolutely love the smell of this fresh mask! It goes on smoothly and comes off just as easy leaving behind soft skin that lasts forever! I use this mask once a week (sometimes even twice) just to endulge myself in it`s chocolately cupcake goodness!

This is one of my can't live without, must have products from LUSH!! I've been using it nearly a year now (I'm 25 and have combination skin that's very sensitive and I have broken out and had reactions from other department store masks in the past). I love it and can't say enough about it!

I take my Cupcake face mask in the shower with me, wash my face first and then scrub really well with Dark Angels before smoothing on this beauty of a mask. I leave it on for a few minuted then rinse it away, then step out of the shower and moisturize with Cosmetic Lad. This routine had drastically improved my skin. I don't have breakouts anymore, I don't have dry spots or blackheads anymore, it's amazing the difference it's made. My husband tells me that since using LUSH products my skin looks younger even! I can't say enough about how much I adore this face mask, and I found the perfect skincare routine for me. Dark Angels scrubs the dirt away, Cupcake deep cleans and balances my skin, and Cosmetic Lad moisturizes without being too oily for me (I'd previously tried other LUSH moisturizers and they were too rich for me, but this one is perfect).

I don't live near a LUSH location, I go to the store when we travel to the city (3 hours away for me), and I stock up on Cupcake masks so I don't run out before our next trip there. I keep one in the fridge and freeze the others, this works great for me and they aren't affected badly by being frozen at all, a LUSH consultant told me freezing them should be fine because Cupcake was a hardier mask that didn't have ingredients that would spoil as quickly as some of the other masks have. So far it's worked wonderfully for me and I don't want to change a thing!

When I first bought this I used it everyday for 1 week. By the end of the week I had a brand new complexion. I'm used to suffering from acne, uneven skin tone and lots of oil! I started getting compliments from strangers! And the woman who sells me my cosmetics and me what my secret was!

I love this product so much!
As a 30 year old who still gets acne and has oily skin this mask is nothing short of a miracle.
However, I find this product works better in the shower. I wash my face, then I apply the mask...while the mask does it's thing I wash the rest of me. When I'm ready to remove the mask, I first add a bit of water and start to rub it in. Once everything has worked it's magic I rinse the rest away. When I get out of the shower I finish the rest of my skin care routine. It never cease to amaze me how tingly clean, soft and oil free my skin is after!

since i had read the reviews for this, i just had to try it out. and so, when i went to lush the next day, i picked up a small sample of Cupcake. when i tried it, it smelled like a delicious dark chocolate. but when i took it off, i had notice my face was a bit red. although, my skin felt really soft, it did nothing for my complexion since i still had redness on my face. the next morning, i noticed that there were little bumps forming on my face, and it has gotten REALLY oily. you can't SEE the bumps, but when you run your hand over them, you sure can FEEL them. maybe, this is due to my sensitive skin or maybe just because i haven't used this before. but next time, i would try another face mask.

I found that it didn't really do what it was supposed to. It refreshes my skin like any mask containing mint would, but it didn't make my skin less oily or clear up any pimples I had. No change either in tone or texture of my skin. Meh. I mean, it smells nice, but for me, that was about it.

I've tried tons of face masks which have yielded less-than-impressive results. Cupcake improved my skin instantly! I had a few nasty blemishes on my chin for WEEKS and they improved as soon as I used it.

I also recently created a daily regime with Herbalism, Grease Lightning, Tea Tree Toner and Celestial. My skin is looking great after two days!

I love this product and use it weekly. It instantly tightens my skin and reduces redness. Helps with a sudden breakout, but also has helped my skin breakout less with repeated use. I love it, it's the best face mask I have ever used. It's great for oily acne prone skin at any age ( I'm 26 and have been using for 3 years).

I absolutely love this mask! The only thing I would change would be its strong scent, but that is completely personal and will differ from everyone. I always struggled from impurities never fully healing or 'coming to a head' and this mask eliminated them. Its awesome, you have to try it!

When I got it I thought it was great because it smelt really good, and it was ideal for me because I'm a teenager and I did not want a product that would dry out my skin too much. The first day I used it, my skin was fine. The next day I woke up with a really painful spot on my face. I wasn't sure if it was from the face mask, so I waited 4 days to use it again. When I did, I woke up the next day with two more painful spots. I stopped using it and no more spots have come up. They still haven't gone away and it's been over two weeks since I have used it. I don't think this is a good product, and it was a very bad purchase.

Cupcake mask was the first thing I ever bought from Lush, and I've been using it ever since. My skin dumps out oil like no other, and Cupcake absorbs it all with aggression. The peppermint makes your skin feel fresh, and once the mask is off, your face will feel like silk. To top it off, it smells good enough to eat, while fighting acne. Sweet! The only thing is, if your skin is sensitive or may become dry, avoid Cupcake. The mud base can be very over-drying. For the more sensitive acne and oil-prone face, try the Cosmetic Warrior mask!
