This was added to my very first (and certainly not last) Lush order. I absolutely LOVE this product! Out of everything I bought, this is my favourite, which says a lot cuz I loved everything!
I've been using this every night and have been having the most amazing dreams! I plan on beginning to meditate shortly and I can feel this definitely will help! Great earthy scent!
Lush, you should create a second similar bar with sweetgrass in it. Great scent and you'd definitely have a buyer in me :)

I can absolutely understand why people think this smells bad. It's definitely not for everyone.

I personally love it. I put it on my arms and chest before I go to bed and I love smelling it while I'm about to go to sleep.

To me, it smells like the forest, and dirt. And a little bit like a camp fire. It doesn't smell sweet, or like mangoes at all. But if you love really earthy and woodsy smells, you would probably like this.

The only thing that I don't like about it is that the next morning, after it has totally absorbed, I find that my skin kind of smells like soap. It's not bad, really. It's just kind of strange.

Anyway, I'll definitely be buying again.

I decided to give this a shot based on the earlier reviews, and because I'm a fan of all sorts of Lush scents, including some of the earthier ones. Well, the scent of this is... strong, REALLY strong, and not so much "earthy" as medicinal. It lingers on your skin, bedding and clothing for ages too, which would be great if you loved the smell - I didn't. There's gotta be a niche market for a scent like this, but the average customer is probably NOT going to love this for casual use.

I do think it could be a good product to have around while suffering a cold/flu, or any sort of sinus problem - it does have a sort of soothing/head-clearing quality about it. But overall, the positive qualities of this massage bar can be found in all of the others, minus the icky smell. Would not buy this one again.

I use this after I have a bath in the evening and WOW it sure does knock me out for the night! I have been using this bar for years and it is still my absolute favorite massage bar, it's magical!!! It smells earthy, and I realize this might not be for everyone, but for those of you who do like the earthy smell it really doesn't get better than this. Lush please never get rid of this product.

OK I will admit, when I first saw this online I thought it would smell like mangoes because of it�s lovely orange colouring. But I read everything, even the first few reviews and decided why not? Well I recieved my order today and found it sitting on my bed as soon as I got home from work. I will say the smell is indeed strong, but it instantly calmed me and I felt mellow. It made my sin feel so buttery soft! It made me want to wrap myself in a blanket and drift off into a cosmic dream. I will definitely use this before bed every night. _

While in the package, this product nearly went into the trash. It was only because I've never tried a massage bar that it survived. But once we began using it, we both agreed that the scent reminded us of camping. It's not exactly smoky. It smells more like wood after it's been charred, with a bit of bug repellant thrown in. Since we like camping, we didn't mind it too much. On the plus side, the smell doesn't linger too terribly long.

I was a bit wary of this massage bar, but after reading the reviews, I decided to take the plunge, and I'm so glad I did. The smell is a bit strong at first, but it mellows out a lot on the skin. It smells very strong, woodsy and smoky in the wrapping, but on my skin it has an almost minty undertone. I'm very sensitive to scents, but this seems to be one I'm immune to, thank goodness!



It absorbs well, if you're used to thicker moisturizers. I think most of the complaints of greasiness are from people using too much, like regular lotion. It doesn't take much of this at all! I just run it over my skin quickly, and just enough melts off to soak in nicely with a good rub.

Love, love, love... Great for massage, but also for regular skin moisturising; is rather strong from the bar, but on skin mellows out; if you like oriental fragrant woods you'll love this. If you prefer floral, you prob won't. I actually like it better than Amazonian (no patchouli!). Guys will like this too.

I was quite yucked out by the smell at first, but after 10 minutes I found it quite lovely. It is certainly one of those "hippy" smells. I find it very forest-like. It's not for everyone, but it works well for my sore muscle and the scent makes me sleepy. One star off because it doesn't absorb so well and it's a little greasy. I will buy again.
