Clean up Canuck-style

All sorts of things come to mind when you think of Canada, but maple syrup tops the list. We've tapped into our roots and brought back our Canadian Maple soap, just for our online Retro section. Made with real maple syrup and topped with sugar, it's gentle and soothing and leaves your skin soft and smelling sweet. In fact, it smells so delicious you may be tempted to top your pancakes with it, but we recommend it for the bath and shower instead.

Features

  • Let’s get soapy, eh? These sweet suds soften and soothe dry skin.
  • We wouldn’t joke a-boot it: We pour real, Canadian maple syrup into each batch.
  • True north, strong and free: Each block of soap is topped with a sweet sprinkling of coffee sugar crystals.

Comments about Canadian Maple Soap:

I got this in a retro order my boyfriend placed for me for Christmas, but only got around to using it now! I am a maple fanatic so was very pleased when I saw it come in the box as I had wanted to try it for some time!

It has a definite maple smell with a touch of something else. I can definitely smell the tangerine! It lathers very nicely and I find it to be quite mild, and a welcome addition to my shower.

It does seem to shrink a bit quicker than some of the other soaps I've used, but maybe that's due to the sugar content? I don't think that's the be all end all though, just let it dry in a soap dish between uses and it lasts longer.

I would love more maple syrup products! I still and hanging on to the dregs of my maple lip balm from a few christmases ago, I would love a shampoo (kind of like the honey ones!) or Shower gel using maple syrup...;)

    Comments about Canadian Maple Soap:

It doesn't smell like Maple, rather it seems to smell a lot like Honeycomb, which I don't find unpleasant (reminds me of our farm days), and which I don't find long lingering. It has a smooth softening lather, which cleans well. Perhaps it does shrink faster than some other soaps, but I didn't mind as I like to change soaps frequently so I have time to try all the types!

i didnt really find this soap as bad as other reviewers did.
i did think the smell was nice and sweet but not super maple-y like i was expecting.
it lathered okay and wasnt too drying.
i noticed it shrunk quite a bit after one use.
all in all an alright product, dont know if i wuld or wouldnt buy it again but i think its worth a try anyway

Smells nothing like Maple, can't really even describe the smell (maybe just like old soap). I would not purchase again.
