Inhale, exhale, just breathe
Breath of God is such a complex fragrance, you’ll pick up different notes every time you smell it. While on a trip to Tibet, LUSH perfumer Simon was inspired by the fresh clean air of the mountains and the smoky scents from the Tibetan temples. He rushed home to create his first perfumes, which he called Inhale and Exhale. Inhale is a light, melony scent while Exhale is a deep, smoky incense scent. He combined the two fragrances into one wonderful olfactory experience and called it Breath of God. The melony citrus moves into deeper, sandalwood and cedarwood undertones and it develops through the day, continuously revealing new facets as you wear it.

This perfume has a dynamic smell that evolves as you wear it. There is definitely a smoky quality to it (not unpleasant...more like incense smoke), but most of all it reminds me of being on a mountaintop on a sunny spring day.
My only complaint is that the container makes it very hard not to waste product. Rather than having some sort of twisting mechanism to advance the product, you have to push up a platform from the bottom of the tube. It invariably rises too far too quickly, and the product is too soft to push back into the tube. It would be great if Lush would use more of a gluestick-type design for the container.

After leaving the store and applying it on my skin, it really turned into something altogether too musky and masculine for me to wear. However, I tried to be crafty with it and decided to mix my too sweet Vanillary scent with this too musky Breath of God on my skin. The mix of the two is just right. I like a little spice to a scent but on its own, Breath of God is aimed more towards a man, according to my nostrils anyway.

Sorry Lush but this is not my favorite of yours. Described by other reviewers I thought I would like this. Not so. I couldnt stand it, it smelled gross to me. It did mellow down, but the scent is not for me. It is a more manly scent but the first whiff was disgusting to me. It does last very long though, I had to go and wash it off b/c it was grossing me out so much. I will be getting a different scent in this form for sure!

I hate perfume, but I can't get enough of this scent. This.. smells like the ocean and sex with someone you really love and that afterglow, pine and cedar trees and a spring breeze carrying the scent of a field of ripe clover and fireweed flowers and a humid mossy forest floor. Yeah, a little (quite) on the cheesy side. But seriously, I wish I could insert it directly into my nostrils forever.

This product really is fantastic. I would describe this scent as almost a pine scent, with a hint of musk. It is a refreshing scent that I can't get enough of. The only con is that the scent doesn't last very long. I would guess that it stays at it's strongest for about half an hour, then you can't smell it anymore. Either way, I would probably buy this product again!

I was heartbroken. Still am. Someone please ... say it ain't so!
If I had the money, I'd buy an entire box of the solids. It's so easy to use, smells absolutely divine, and I really like the shade of blue that it's in!
What I also love about this scent is that for those of us who like to feel elegant yet deep, powerful yet gentle, sensual yet strong; this perfume is perfect. Androgynous scents are my obsession; and this encompasses that concept perfectly.

Breath of God is truly a unisex scent. The first note to hit my nose was lemon: bright and refreshing. Then the slightly deeper and more bitter scent of bitter orange oil There is a lingering aroma of black pepper, as well as incense, and rose rounds out the scent, sweetens it and prevents it from becoming too heavy. Overall, I highly recommend this product to a woman looking for a very oriental but not too heavy scent, and for a man who is looking for something out of the ordinary.
