When I first started using "Big", I loved it! It smelled nice and left my hair feeling super soft and clean. Unfortunately, it didn't really add any volume, but I overlooked that because my hair felt and smelled and looked good! However, over time, I noticed that my scalp was getting INCREDIBLY DRY!!! :( To the point where my head even started hurting. I would only use it maybe twice a week, so I wan't too sure if "Big" was the cause, but I stopped using it and it went away, completely! I guess the salt was just too harsh for my head...I'm a "Big" fan of lush (lol) but I'm not a fan of this product.

This worked great for me! Everyone's hair and skin reacts so differently. Some this works for and some it doesn't. It's worth a try! I've been using it for over three weeks now and the long term effects are great so far.

I was first drawn to this product because of the sea salt and some reviews. I went and picked up a free sample from a near by Lush Store.

It lathered well and I did like how it seemed to scrub but I was not pleased at all with the smell of this shampoo. As I put it in I started to get this nostril burning sensation and the smell got worse. I immediatly washed it out and shampooed my hair twice with the shampoo I am currently using.

Though it did leave my hair looking shinier after the wash the smell still stayed through out the day and now I am nervouse of other people smelling my hair.

The salt makes it scrubby which feels good, and lathers nicely. Not sure what it smells like, people say coconut but I don't really smell that.

Dries out hair a bit. Probably should try out a conditioner with it. I also can't tell if it's just because it's 35 degrees outside...

This is the first Lush shampoo I've ever tried. I told the girl working there that I have really straight, oily hair that doesn't do much else than lie flat on my head. She recommended Big, a product she told me she uses herself. I thought that the sea salt was intriguing, and it smells amazing! My hair felt super clean after using it, and I followed up with Veganese conditioner, which I was told is light and will not leave my hair greasy. So far so good. Best of all, you need just a bit to do the trick.

I really like this shampoo! I use it with Cynthia Sylvia Stout shampoo so that it doesn't dry out my hair, and together they lather up incredibly well and I don't have to use much product. I would definitely recommend this shampoo!

Curly Wurly left stuff behind so I tried Big, and I love it! Still helps my curls and cleans thoroughly (I take my time between hair washings so this means something. My four-year-old daughter loves it too :)

As a self described hair product junkie, I have spent way too much time and money searching for a shampoo that will give my thin, limp, short blonde hair a lasting volume. I've stopped searching, now that I've found Big. I use this shampoo on a daily basis, combined with Veganese conditioner, and I get volume that will last through a chaotic 8 hour work shift. It provides volume and shine, and thanks to all the lemon essences, it even gives my blonde hair and extra boost! The shampoo could be considered a bit drying, but as long as you partner it with a good conditioner, it shouldn't be an issue. Oh, and I have never had a shampoo that lathers so much as big! I use a dollop the size of my fingernail and get huge amounts of lather, more than I have ever had with salon brand shampoos. A little will definitely go a loooongg way! I definitely recommend this to anyone who has fine hair and has struggled with this search!

i have very flat/oily/long hair and have been searching for all-natural hair products that actually work, and I gotta say that this shampoo works a million times better than the old shampoos I was using! Paired with the Veganese conditioner My hair feels lighter and less oily, even by the end of the day. I love how a little goes a long way and I am definitely in love with this product!

I've heard so many reviews over the net about how good the Big shampoo was that I decided to try it myself and juge if it was right for me.

I have long, frizzy fuzzy hair, hyper dried out because of all the dying products I put on the over the last years, and since I like moving around and be under the sun gardening or playing sport, they tend to get really greasy at the root.

First time I tried it, the shampoo lathered really well (I actually just put a small amount directly on my hair and massage them for a minute or two) and then rinse them. I didn't put conditioner after just to look at how my hair would turn out after the shampoo only.

It did a really good job. The overall of my hair was clean, shiny and fresh, the amazing scent stayed a while (my boyfriend was totally addicted to the scent! ha ah) and the tips didn't felt dry anymore.

The only thing I was a bit annoyed with was that my hair ended up being all fuzzy like I just took the thunder on me, but that problem was solve with a good conditioner on the second time.

So great product, a bit pricey, but worth it if you just have delicate or hyper damaged hair and are sensitive to chemicals.

I use this as my regular daily (sometimes multiple times daily) shampoo. I have dry, thin, fine hair. I work outside so my hair experiences a lot of drying wind, hot sun, dirt and sweat. Though it is dry, it can get greasy and gummy when I sweat alot. Big shampoo does a great job of cleaning out all of the gunk and dirt, and leaving my hair clean and happy. I follow with a good conditioner and voila....thin, fine hair with volume, shine, and bounce. The only evidence of damaging conditions is the blonde streaks left by the sun. I love this product!!!

My hair is quite fine and I loved how this product added more volume to my hair. My hair looked great throughout the day but I thought the product was harsh on my scalp because it left my scalp feeling very itchy. Although my hair looked great, my scalp was too itchy so I stopped using it after my free sample ran out. This would be a great product for people who don't have sensitive scalps like mine and would want a hair boost. I admit that my hair never looked so great or as full, I just wish the product wasn't too harsh for my scalp.

I was a little confused by this shampoo's texture at first glance, but the instant I tried it, I fell in love.

Big does all the work of a regular shampoo and more! I have very long, fine hair which often lacks volume. After a single use, my hair had a lot more volume and seemed more "full".

I can't justify spending over 20$ on every-day shampoo, so I use this product once or twice a week as a clarifying treatment (it does dry hair out a little).

Great product, worth splurging!

I actually love BIG, It gave me a lot of volume, shine and smells amazing in my hair. I used Retread with it, so the drying aspect of it has yet to been seen from me... The salt was super stimulating to massage into my scalp and the scent is one of my favourites from LUSH. I think it is extremely innovative, and I really like that it comes in a large black pot!

**LONG BUT, A WORTH IT REVIEW! Must read before deciding to buy this shampoo - trust me. I was new to Lush, I got this shampoo after seeing a demo & review on youtube. I read the comments that said that it dries hair out but I have an oily complexion & very oily hair so i thought hey this shampoo should be amazing for me + the "volume" which is an added bonus, WRONG. Now trust me when I say I don't have sensitive skin cause I always see reviews of people saying the most obnoxious things that I completely ignore. My skin is anything but sensitive. But by using this shampoo, at first it dried my hair out, it felt so dry & weak, straw-like. & I still had to wash my hair everyday cause even though my hair was dry my hair would still be oily (which i thought it wouldn't) But I spent [$] on the shampoo so I said ill just finish it, biggest mistake I could make.. Later on, it dried out my scalp SOO bad that it looked like I had dandruff. I've been meaning to write a review for this shampoo to advise people to not use it but i always forget. Every time I'm in my shower & I have to put a nasty smelling dandruff shampoo on my hair, I remember how much I regret every trying this product & i remember to write a review. I would never ever recommend this product to anyone unless I hate them lol trust me when I say.. Your better off using even a drugstore shampoo.. How disappointed I am, words can't describe it. Trust me when I say, never ever buy this product you'll regret it so bad.. I know I do cause I'm still paying the price for putting this garbage on my hair hence the fact that I still have to use that gross dandruff shampoo.. I'm very stubborn & I never listen to reviews.. If I have my mind on something ill get it, but trust me.. You really don't wanna buy this, last time I'm purchasing any hair products from Lush . First & Last purchase. I love love love this shampoo! It's amazing. The smell is delicious, and I love this consistency of it with the sea salt. The only thing I noticed is my hair does get a bit of static sometimes. Besides that, of all the shampoos I've ever used, this might be my favourite.

I LOVE this product. It is a new staple. I have oily limp hair and this takes out the oils (with stripping the good oils). It makes my hair super soft and shiny. I LOVE it. They only bad thing is I find it adds static to my hair, but I can deal with that for the miracles it works.

This is the worst shampoo I have ever used! The description of the product gives you such hope but when I actually used it my hair was frizzy (my hair has never been this frizzy before!), dry and straw like! The tub of this shampoo says to use without conditioner but when I purchased this, a LUSH sales person recommended to get a conditioner so I asked for a weightless conditioner that would not weight down fine hair, and they recommended Coolaulin Conditioner. The hair is not as frizzy when I use the conditioner but the conditioner weights down my hair, making it oily and limp. The only good thing about this was the coconut smell. Very disappointed in LUSH hair products, will not be trying again.

This shampoo gets my hair squeaky clean, and has certainly helped to build volume at the roots, where I concentrate it. The smell is awesome, very refreshing. Just beware of getting all that lime and salt in your eyes like my poor boyfriend did - ouch!



In the long run though, I think this has been drying for my hair, especially as I haven't had a great conditioner. It can certainly tangle the ends of your hair if you're not careful.



For those with truly oily hair this would be great. For the rest of us, maybe every second wash or just concentrated at the roots.



Also, it took me awhile to get it to lather properly. The key is to have your hair soaking - just bring it out from under the stream of water and apply immediately. It will suds up like crazy.



A container really lasts as you only need a tiny bit for each wash. About one fingerful or less will do! In that sense, this turns out to be a reasonably priced product. Definitely worth trying out!
