A 'meh' for Big Blue

After reading several comments on Big Blue, I was excited to try it out for myself. I popped half of it in my bath and while I wasn't disappointed, I wasn't 'wowed' either.
The colour it makes the water is perfect: very ocean-esk and relaxing, and the scent is very soothing and calming. I used this bomb while I was suffering from a cold and it really relaxed me.
I just wasn't thrilled by it though for a few reasons. Firstly, it fizzed out REALLY quickly. Now I know I only used half of this bomb, and I don't care that much whether or not it fizzes for a long time, but I was somewhat shocked at how quickly it dissolved! For me the seaweed wasn't that bothersome, but I didn't think it added that much to the bath, either.
My biggest disappointment was that it really wasn't as moisturizing as it claims to be. Soothing and relaxing? Yes, but moisturizing after I got out? No.
All in all, a good bath experience, but definitely not one of my favourite lush bath products (which is a shame since the colour it makes your bath IS my fave).

Big blue is an overall amazing product. The colour in the bath is beautiful and the scent is truly amazing. The only thing I would have to criticize about this product was the seaweed. This may just be me, but there was SO MUCH seaweed and I just don't really enjoy taking a bath while tons of little pieces of seaweed are bumping into me and sticking to my arms and skin. But other than that, it was amazing and I would reccoment using it to others!

I love this bath bomb! Turned my bath water the most gorgeous bright ocean-y blue, and with the little bits of seaweed floating around I literally felt like a mermaid. It was super relaxing, made my skin nice and soft and left a lingering fresh spa-type scent on me for hours. Highly recommend!

I was looking forward to using this bomb after reading some of the reviews. However, I was disappointed. The smell was too strong, it was not moisturizing at all, and I don't understand the point of all that seaweed (I wasn't expecting so much!).
However, the color is beautiful and it did not leave a residue like other bombs have.

This bomb is great for a night time bath when you want to relax and have a long, hot bath. I broke this bomb in half to get more for my money and still worked great. I also put the bomb in a small mesh type bag in order to catch the seaweed bits so it would not clog the drain.

I use this product by throwing it in the bath. It is really relaxing and softning. Although the first time i used it i got scared ( thought their was bugs in my tub but it was just the seaweed). That was a funny experience but it also clogs my drain and leaves residue so i have to make sure to put the bath bomb in a coffee drainer while i use it. This makes sure it catches all the seaweed. Overall i loved it and i already recomended this to a friend and she loves it.

This product doesn't smell like conventional "ocean-scented" products, nor does it have the "rotting fish and seaweed" smell of a real ocean shore. It does have a beautiful scent that causes me to THINK about the ocean. I am not sure how it works, I'm just glad it does.
While the seaweed requires rinsing down the drain at the end of the bath, I love having it float around the tub.
The whole experience of this bath bomb is like a beach vacation at the same time as visiting the cozy, comfy family cottage on the West Coast.

HATE the seaweed! I never imagined there would be THAT MUCH seaweed in one bath bomb. First of all it was a nightmare to clear up, second it felt really gross as it floated around in the water. However, I would definatley reccomend using it, if you use their advice and wrap it before placing it in the water. If I buy it again, I am definately doing that!
If it wasn't for the excessive seaweed I would have really enjoyed this one! Will likley try again but not putting it straight in the bath this time!

WOW! I mean WOW! Lush really hit it out of the park with this one! This is my favourite bath bomb to date, and although the seaweed can be pretty messy and I don't always let it float about, I love it! It is so soothing and makes me feel like a mermaid relaxing in paradise. Between the floating seaweed and the aqua blue water I feel like I'm settling myself in a beautiful oasis far from work and stress! The salt keeps your skin smooth. Try rubbing the seaweed into your skin and hair, it gives it a soothing healthy glow!

The actual water in the tab does get pleasantly blue, the smell is rather weak though and content dried my skin a bit, which I tried to avoid. The real problem is those cut seaweed pieces which supposed to look cute (I guess) but tend to simply garbage the tub. I don't know if acquiring the seaweed dissolvable essence would be possible for a better alternative, but without that mess to clean afterwards the bomb would only get better.

Our Sea Vegetable soap smells similar to Big Blue bath ballistic, as both contain lavender and lime as well as seaweed and sea salt! You might also want to give our Ocean Salt scrub a whirl.Answered on 11/2/2012 by Megan from LUSH Direct
