i get bad breakouts time to time, but i also have oil control issues with my face.so when a lush lady asked me to try it i did. its amazing does not dry my skin out or making it oily which i love. i use it as a everyday cleanser makes my skin balanced and so soft. i love the fact you dont need to use alot of the product for it to work. let alone it is great for redness in the face and sunburns.
it makes up for the not so pretty smell and the price in the end :)

I have eczema on my face in addition to having the occasional break out. Since I've used this product I've not only found that it helps calm my eczema, but also my break outs!

I've always had a lot of trouble finding products that don't irritate my skin because it is very sensitive and the natural ingredients in aqua marina really helped my skin. It is the first cleanser that I've used that I have noticed has reduced redness I have and it leaves my skin feeling super soft. I've repurchased this product twice now and I would definitely recommend it to anyone with sensitive skin!

The first time I used this product I noticed a major difference in the softness and colour of my skin! It has made my normally reddish skin more even toned and cleared up most of my acne.

I've found it to be a bit drying if I use it every day so I try to use it every second day, and I wash my face beforehand because it doesn't take off makeup very well (and I don't want to get it in my eyes). Also I keep it in the fridge because I've heard it can start to smell bad.

All in all, this is the best cleanser I've ever used and I will definitely be repurchasing!

I love this cleanser! The first time I used it, it got rid of the acne on my face and left it feeling so clean and bright. I use this in the morning and night, and follow up with Breath of Fresh Air toner and Imperalis moisturizer. Works perfectly on my combination skin.

This cleanser has seriously calmed my constantly irritated skin. My general redness has reduced and my skin doesn't feel tight like it was. It has also kept breakouts at bay too.

I would say the only downside is that it expires, and since I don't have a Lush near me, I have to order it online. But it's worth it to finally have calm skin.

I've got dry, sensitive, acne prone skin. A nightmare to care for. After using the same old (ineffective, drying) drugstore brands for years, I finally decided to try out a LUSH product. I went with Fresh Farmacy and I found it was a huge improvement over the drugstore brands I had been using. After using that for a few months I went to LUSH to re-stock on my FF when the sales attendant told me I should try Aqua Marina. She threw a sample of it in my bag and I went home and tried it out. I was amazed. My skin has always been VERY pink, my face always has a pink tinge to it and goes red very easily. (My mom has rosacea but I haven't been diagnosed.) After one wash with Aqua Marina I noticed a huge difference in my face! It wasn't near as pink anymore! For that reason alone this product is my savior. It's also good to use after a workout when my face is BRIGHT RED from working so hard! ;)
Besides reducing redness, I have found that I rarely break out after using this product. I get spots constantly, and after trying every cleanser and treatment out there, even going on birth control, nothing has helped reduce spots like this cleanser.

The downside to this product is that it is a bit messy to work with, and it doesn't smell too pretty. It's not necessarily a bad smell, but it's just not nice. It's also not very convenient to use in the shower, when I open it up and scoop out the cleanser, water usually finds its way into the pot! I definitely find it more convient to shower with a bar (like FF), but Aqua Marina simply does my skin too much good to ever go back.

I got this as a gift this Christmas, and find it to be wonderful! After the first use my skin was less red, and my pimples less noticable. The only downside I find is that it says that it is for dry skin, but I found it to dry out my skin more. Maybe not the best for using twice a day or even daily, but it definitely works really well.

Man oh man, I can not express how much I love this product. When I first opened up the pot I definitely did not like the smell BUT with further faith in lush I tried it out. I have been using it every day since I got it, and I haven't gotten a single pimple, dry patch, or red splotch. I haven't even considered wearing cover up since! :)

I have been using this product off and on for a few years now, and always revert back to this. Yes it is expensive but boy is it worth it! I use this product almost daily and it leaves my skin super soft to the touch. It lathers up well and your skin feels so good after you wash it. Unfortunately it doesn't strip make up but if you use a make up remover prior to cleansing you shouldnt have a problem. Have to say, I bought a small tub of it about a month ago and still have tons remaining.

Only negative is having to add water to it to create a paste. Sometimes its difficult finding the best product/water mixture.

Three years ago, I found myself on a Goldilocks-like journey for a cleanser. I went through several -- Fresh Farmacy (too drying), Angels on Bare Skin (too harsh), Herbalism (too irritating) -- before finally committing to Aqua Marina. Of all the cleansers I've tried (non-Lush cleansers included), this was the best for my sensitive and oily skin. It is gentle but thoroughly cleansing, cleansing but not irritating to my redness-prone skin. It was a little tricky using it at first, but I find that taking a pinch of this seaweed roll and applying it directly on your wet face helps eliminate the mess. Needless to say, I'm not switching loyalties anytime soon.

I don't know why people are saying it doesn't remove make-up... it removes my make-up just fine, it also has made my skin texture smoother and taken away the redness. I have combination skin, dry, red but oily and it balances it all out great. My only complaint is that I am not a seaweed fan so the smell isn't for me, but that minor factor wont stop me from using it just because it is such an awesome product!

You probably will skim past this review and not think much of it but this may help some oily/combination skinned people out there:
As I mentioned my skin is fairly oily (especially by mid day) but can be dry around the my jaw line. I've tried Dark Angels... too harsh, Angels on Bare Skin, good gentle exfoliator that I will probably still use once a week or at night but just nothing too talk about, Fresh Pharmacy.. I liked it but nothing spectacular...But this.. Aqua Marina is WONDERFUL. My skin was balanced after one use, not oily, and no redness! I work in the beauty industry and know how important it is to cover even the minor flaws.. but after using this my skin was so even in tone that it looked like I was still wearing a full face of make up (well complexion that is) however it took off my makeup so very well. Leaving my skin smooth and clean and it even works up a great lather.
I love this stuff. I don't say that often but I'm crazy about it!
If you are looking for something that will wow your pants off, buy even just a little bit of this! You won't regret it.

This is the only cleanser that i have tried which does not irritate my skin. I have tried Aveeno, Clean and Clear, Nuetrogena, but they all dry out my skin and leave it super red and irritated. Although this product is pretty messy, it is definitely worth it. The best way to use it is in the shower but I also do use this in the sink as well. It cleanses my skin and still leaves it soft and smooth. The best part? It reduces my redness almost completely. It does not remove makeup but I don't mind since I use my makeup remover wipes anyway. And the cost is quite high. I have Normal - Combination skin that is super sensitive and this is a miracle product for me. I HIGHLY recommend it!

This was the first product I ever bought at lush. The lady saw my skin and said it looked a tad dry. When I told her I don't like using too much product. She instantly led me to Aqua Marina.

I use this product everyday; when I get up and before I go to sleep. Doing what the instructions indicate.

I like how my skin gets really dry in the winter, and this product manages to fix that. It's just as effective in the summer. It clears out my break-outs, and keeps my skin smooth :)

It has an odd fishy smell to it. I couldn't get over it at fisrt, but after a while it wore out. Well it grew on me. It doesn't stick with me for the rest of the day. My only real problem is that it doesn't break up so easily.

I had been suffering from bad breakouts (about a step below full-blown acne) and terrible skin irritation and redness since my early teen years. I have literally tried hundreds of products in the past ten years to help clear up these skin problems, including expensive, brand name types, and nothing seemed to work - in fact, many of the products often left my skin in worse condition than before, and with horrible red scarring. I almost gave up on ever having nice skin entirely.

Then, I recently discovered that I had a pretty severe allergy to chamomile and tea tree - two major components in most acne products for their skin-clearing properties. It dawned on me that the products I had been using to help my skin had actually created the problem, since my breakouts and redness were actually just an allergic reaction. Looking for a product that was free of those two ingredients was difficult, but I finally found Aqua Marina.

Aqua Marina is hands down my new favourite cleanser. Within the first week of using it, my skin condition improved immensely. I had reduced redness, the few pimples I had calmed and no longer hurt, and the itchiness I normally would feel from other cleansers was gone. Now that I've been using it for just over amonth, I've had no new pimples and the redness in my face has decreased so drastically that even my sister noted to me that my acne scars - some of which I've had for years - seem to be diminishing or even gone etirely. I am beyond pleased. If you have sensitive skin, breakout, and have similar allergies to my own, I HIGHLY recommend this product to you. It's life-changing.

I normally use Fresh Farmacy but find it a bit drying so thought I'd change it up by using Aqua Marina as it still has the calomine base I like in FF. I thought the label said it all "calomine, aloe, and sea algae"...how could you go wrong (especially for sensitive, acne prone skin)? Well, wrong it was! Immediately after putting in on my face, my skin stung and BAD! I used it maybe two days (why I lasted that long I dunno) then threw it out. Found out later that sea algae is a MAJOR skin irritant (contrary to what you'd think, right?). No wonder I broke out from it. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone but especially not if your skin is senstive or acne prone.

I always HATE to give any Lush product a bad review, but I had to "speak up" about this one. It is marketed to sensitive/dry/irritated skin types, but in my mind this is false advertising. I blame the calomine!! This is far to dehydrating for anyone but the oiliest of skin types. Yes, it does minimize pimples (which was the reason I bought it - I was going through a very bad hormonal breakout), however, after 5 days of 2x/daily use, my skin is like the Sahara - dry/red/chapped and 2 sizes too small for my face. Another negative - it does NOT remove makeup! I am going back to my beloved Ultrabland to bring my skin back to normal.

I really like Aqua Marina. The moment I used it, it was so refreshing. Felt like i didn't need to use any toner or moisturizer. I will keep buying this till i find something better than this. For now i don't think anything can surpass this.
