This is a new purchase & while I've only been using this for about a week, I love it. It cleans my face without drying it and I think it will be great when the weather gets colder and my face gets drier. The scent is amazing but it is a bit messy to use. I bought it in store & the container it came in is a cheap, plastic container (similar to something I'd buy olives in). I hate the packaging because I'm afraid this will dry out - would prefer something more air-tight & nice enough that I don't have to hide it away in a drawer. This was also quite expensive so I hope it lasts a while.

This is the best cleanser I've ever used. It leaves my skin feeling fresh, clean, and balanced after use. I love how it gently exfoliates my skin while cleansing. It is great for the summertime when my skin is combination/sensitive. However, it became too harsh for my dry, cracking winter skin.
I highly recommend this product.

The most important thing is, THIS CLEARED MY ACNE! I've been struggling with keeping my face clear of blemishes for the past 2 years. I had a late start to the exposure of acne since i never experienced it during my teens. Therefore, since it was something new to me i was very eager to get rid of it. I've tried many different toners/cleansers/creams etc. to rid my blemishes but nothing was significantly effective until i tried Angels on Bare Skin. It took about a week of daily use to noticeably clear and maintain my skin. Id prefer it was easier to wash off as some pieces get stuck on my hairline during removal and that it was more of a smooth texture as its exfoliating factor has made my face pale over daily use. Other than that, this is my go-to cleanser to maintain a clear complexion

How I used the product
*I take a pea size amount, place it in my palm, add water, make a paste, and apply to my face. Then with my fingertips, I gently massage all over my face (less the eye area). I follow up with Breath of Fresh Air or Eau de Roma toner and then Vanishing Cream or Enzymion.

Things that are great about it:
*The smell! The lavendar is so calming and it feels great because it's soft exfoliation. My skin also does not feel dried out after I use it.

Things that aren't so great about it...
It broke me out in my tzone. More specifically, the jawline and forehead. Not a severe breakout, but small bumps. I had to do some detective work by eliminating products one by one and figured out it was this cleanser.

One might say that this product is not right for my skin type, but I'm actually using a normal-to-dry, sensitive skin cream cleanser from another brand without problems. My skin is very acne-prone, sensitive, and on the greasier side.

I would probably recommend this to someone with drier skin and who is not acne prone.

So incredibly effective! Drugstore and high end cleansers left my skin feeling clean but stripped. AOBS leaves my skin feeling clean and silky. It's completely balanced my skin. I use it in the morning and I have no problems with oil build-up throughout the day. Use just a smidge, as they say - when I use a bit too much I find the clay the slightest bit drying. They key is to add water to mix it into a soft paste in your palm, and not to scrub your face, just rub in gentle circles.

I was finding that I couldn't get through my stash before it's expiration date (hence the temptation to use too much) but you can ask the wonderful staff to pack you a smaller piece, which is easier on the wallet, too!

I love everything about this product, from the smell to the texture to the fact that it's vegan, but most of all I love the effect it has on my skin!

I first take off my (waterproof) mascara with an oil-based make up remover, then wet my face with warm water to make the cleansing process more easy. Then I get to work with Angels on Bare Skin. I love love love the texture, consistency, smell, feeling, absolutely everything. I make sure not to rub/scrub the almonds in too hard into my face, seeing as how my skin is sensitive, but I do smooth it in for quite a while. I wash it off, which does take a little longer than I would like, mainly because I am so incredibly lazy, and follow with Breath of Fresh Air toner (I just have a sample of it) and Cosmetic Lad moisturizer. These products have made my face/skin nearly perfect. I have only been using this combination for about 2 weeks, and yet the results are so so amazing. I used to have dry and very tight skin, which by the end of the day would become oily in some parts, and sometimes begin to peel in others. All of that is gone now. I have smooth and oil-free skin, no dry bits and no oily bits. My occasional acne is still here, do to hormones I believe, but it is healing much faster than usual and is far less visible. I would recommend this product to anyone and everyone, I don't care what skin type you have, this WILL even it out.

This stuff is absolutely amazing! The smell to me is not so great though but the effects this cleanser does to my face is wonderful!

I suffer from bad acne and have tried just about everything! After a week of using this product I noticed a lot of changes. Redness went down quite a bit, acne was somewhat clear, and the softness of my skin! It was heavenly!!

I originally posted a review after just 2 days of using this product, and after close to a month, I've totally changed my mind.

For the first week or so, this seemed like a great face cleanser - it smells so good, made my skin soft and my pores tighten, didn't dry out my skin... But now I've come to dislike it. I find it has made me breakout more than ever.

I'm aware that sometimes a breakout when you're first trying a new product is actually a good thing (it means it's getting rid of the pimples that were already under the skin), and it takes a month or two for the skin to finally settle down. But it's been a little over a month and no improvement.

Basically if you have skin that's prone to t-zone acne like mine, I wouldn't recommend this.

I'm writing this review 15 minutes before having to leave the house because this product is SO good.

It's exactly what I've been searching for!
Unfortunately, my skin has always been a trouble maker. While it could probably be flawless porcelain skin, it chose to be a grumpy super red irritated ball of mess instead. I've always been one of those people who always looks like they're blushing or slightly sun-burnt. Lovely, I know.

Well, not anymore. This is the second time I used the product and not joke, my face has never looked better (and I've been on Accutane!). I can't wait to see after a few weeks of using it!

I was soo looking forward to using this product but it felt very oily when I applied it to my face. I followed the directions to a T even applied it twice in case I didn't use enough the first time. It felt almost waxy on my skin after rinsing and rinsing and RINSING it off. I used toner after it and found alot of makeup had not been removed . The scrub is way to gentle for my skin and it felt like the ground almonds were soggy? It did not cleanse my skin at all , my large pores looked HUGE afterwards. my skin did feel soft but in a waxy way and not at all cleansed or refreshed. It's hard to believe all the great reviews after personally using this product. I may try adding some cornmeal to this and see if that helps.

I love this product! I have been trying a bunch of diferent facial cleansers from different brands trying to find something to calm my rosacea. In addition to the redness, I have adult acne and large pores. I found this stuff worked wonders for my skin. It is gentle enough to use everyday and does not irritate my rosacea. I am breaking out less after using this, and my super oily in summer/dry in winter combination skin is looking more beautiful than it has in YEARS! It also feels so soft that I cannot stop touching it. It doesn't dry my skin too much, nor strip it of too much oil creating more oil like other cleansers do. I use it in the morning and generally in the shower as it is messy. That is my only complaint, that it seems to get everywhere. I follow up with a light moisturiser and I am good to go for the day. It really is perfect for my skin. I highly recommend it.

I've been using this cleanser daily for the past two weeks and I've noticed my skin tone just looking so well balanced even after a few days! I stopped wearing foundation because I feel so confident about my skin :) As soon as I opened up the jar and saw all the beautiful lavender, I knew it was love at first sight.

I honestly just bought this 2 days ago and I'm already feeling and noticing a difference. I genuinely could rave forever this product. After the first time I used it, my skin felt soft and smooth. It's really great for exfoliating gently, and I have relatively dry and sensitive skin, but this is definitely not too harsh for me. It's moisturizing, but not oily. At first I wasn't sure about the smell, but now I think it smells wonderful. The only flaw this really has is it CAN be messy, but if you're careful it's not that bad. I HIGHLY reccommend this for people of all skin types, acne levels, etc. It's really worth investing in!

This is one of my favourite products to use from Lush! I bounced around for a while, juggling around with different cleansers to see which one I liked. Skin is a finicky thing, and can be more sensitive or less sensitive given the day. I find this is the perfect cleanser for me! Coal Face and Dark Angels was a bit too strong (and extremely drying), Herbalism and Aquamarina didn't do very much for me (and had a tendency to be rather oily, not to mention Herbalism smelled horrid to me), and Ocean Salt isn't an exfoliator you can use everyday.

Not only does this product gently exfoliate on a daily basis, it smells lovely and balances out my skin's oils really well! I used to have extremely acne ridden skin, but with the help of my 8 glasses of water a day and this cleanser, my skin really cleared up!

It keeps going and going... Every time I reach into the container to take a "smidge," or a pinch, it seems like I'm not depleting my precious resource at all.

I have combination skin that can usually deal with life on its own. However recently, because of stress, I began to break out. Naturally, I turned to LUSH and came across Angels on Bare Skin. I was skeptical, as I had tried the face masks I listed and the results were sub-par, in my opinion.

Angels on Bare Skin was different. After the /very first wash/ my skin was soft, clean, and comfortable. It smells alright, I guess, that took some getting used to. But the results make up for it.

What I do to cleanse is take a pinch of the product, work it into a loose paste with water in my hand and lightly rub in circular motions over my face. To wash off, use a damp washcloth, again in circular motions. I found it too hard to wash off with just water and my hands.

I love this product! I partner it with 9 to 5 - Angels on Bareskin in the morning, and 9 to 5 in the evening to get all the makeup off. I have combination skin, and this just helps to balance it all out. My only qualms are that it's messy (I'm worried it will clog my bathroom sink, which is also why I use it in the morning in the shower), and it expires in two months (I bought the big pot, and don't know how I'm supposed to use it up in two months...). I also found it was hard to nab it in stock, so jump on it when you can!

I love this cleanser - I stumbled upon it by accident when my beloved name brand cleanser was confiscated by airline security when I was travelling. I found a LUSH in the next airport and the saleslady recommended this. Initially I was a little bit skeptical, since I have very very sensitive and dry combination skin - I thought that the exfoliating might be too much for it. However, I was completely wrong! I've now come back to this cleanser 3 times - every time I notice an improvement in my skin tone and texture. My face feels clean and comfortable after using it - it's never dry or tight. If you've never used this kind of cleanser, it does take some getting used to, but it's definitely worth it. Oh, and a side note - try not to store the tub in the shower. Water gets in and dilutes it - you can still use it to the last drop, but it makes travelling with it a little tricky. :P

Literally best cleanser I have ever used. It leaves your skin clean and soft but does not try your skin out. It doesn't lather so it might be a little hard to work with. So amazing!

I suggest using a make-up remover first to get any make-up out since this doesn't really remove make-up. Apart from that, I love this! My skin has never felt better after using this. I have sensitive skin and also combination skin. I usually break out when I use a new facial product but this was so gentle and it left my skin feeing amazing. It exfoliates as well because of the texture and a little goes a long way. It's quite messy to use but apart from that, it's great.

I completely love this product. Most days, my face can't decide what it wants to be. It's dry in patches, oily in a few random spots, sensitive all over, and just generally angry. Until I use some Angels, that is. Somehow, this wonderful cleanser evens my crazy face out. It cleanses the oily spots, moisturizes the dry patches, and gently exfoliates without agrivating my sensitive skin. It's kind of like a miracle. My face is so much happier. It's true it doesn't remove my make-up, and it does tend to be a bit messy, but it's still totally worth it to me to use it.
